Psalm 72
1 Von Salomo. - Gott, gib dem König Deine Ordnungen, dem Königssohn Dein Recht,
A Psalme of Salomon. Give thy iudgements to the King, O God, and thy righteousnesse to the Kings sonne.
2 daß er Dein Volk gemäß dem Rechte richte und Deine Armen nach Gerechtigkeit!
Then shall he iudge thy people in righteousnesse, and thy poore with equitie.
3 Die Berge laß dem Volke Frieden bringen, Gerechtigkeit die Hügel!
The mountaines and the hilles shall bring peace to the people by iustice.
4 Er schaffe Recht den Elenden im Volk und helfe armer Leute Kindern! Doch den Bedrücker möge er zermalmen!
He shall iudge the poore of the people: he shall saue the children of the needie, and shall subdue the oppressor.
5 Er lebe auch, solange Mond und Sonne währen!
They shall feare thee as long as the sunne and moone endureth, from generatio to generation.
6 Er komme wie der Regen auf die abgemähte Flur, wie Regengüsse auf das Land!
He shall come downe like the rayne vpon the mowen grasse, and as the showres that water the earth.
7 In seinen Tagen blühe auf der Fromme, und Friedensfülle sei, bis nimmer ist der Mond!
In his dayes shall the righteous florish, and abundance of peace shalbe so long as the moone endureth.
8 Von Meer zu Meere herrsche er, vom Strom bis an der Erde Enden!
His dominion shall be also from sea to sea, and from the Riuer vnto the endes of the land.
9 Seemächte sollen sich vor ihm erniedrigen und seine Feinde Staub auflecken!
They that dwell in ye wildernes, shall kneele before him, and his enemies shall licke the dust.
10 Die Könige von Tarsis und die der Inseln sollen Gaben bringen, Tribut die Könige von Saba und von Seba
The Kings of Tarshish and of the yles shall bring presents: the Kings of Sheba and Seba shall bring giftes.
11 und alle Könige ihm huldigen! Ihm sollen alle Heidenvölker dienstbar sein!
Yea, all Kings shall worship him: all nations shall serue him.
12 Den Armen rettet er, wenn er um Hilfe ruft, den Leidenden, der keinen Beistand hat.
For he shall deliuer the poore when he cryeth: the needie also, and him that hath no helper.
13 Er schont den Armen und Geringen und rettet der Bedrückten Leben.
He shalbe mercifull to the poore and needie, and shall preserue the soules of the poore.
14 Von Schaden und Gewalt erlöst er ihre Seele; denn teuer achtet er ihr Blut.
He shall redeeme their soules from deceite and violence, and deare shall their blood be in his sight.
15 Man rufe alsdann "Lebe hoch!" Er gibt dafür von Sabas Golde, damit für ihn bete, ihn beständig segne!
Yea, he shall liue, and vnto him shall they giue of the golde of Sheba: they shall also pray for him continually, and dayly blesse him.
16 Er sei ein Fruchtgefilde auf der Erde! Auf Bergesgipfeln, gleich dem Libanon, da woge auch noch seine Frucht! Sie sprosse aus der Stadt wie Pflanzen aus der Erde!
An handfull of corne shall be sowen in the earth, euen in the toppe of the mountaines, and the fruite thereof shall shake like the trees of Lebanon: and the children shall florish out of the citie like the grasse of the earth.
17 Sein Name währe ewiglich! Solange eine Sonne ist, so währe auch sein Name! Daß alle Heiden ihn beim Segnen nennen und glücklich preisen! -
His name shall be for euer: his name shall indure as long as the sunne: all nations shall blesse him, and be blessed in him.
18 Gepriesen sei der Herr und Gott, der Schutzgott Israels, der einzig Wunder tut!
Blessed be the Lord God, euen the God of Israel, which onely doeth wonderous things.
19 Gepriesen sei der Name seines Herrschertums in Ewigkeit! Die ganze Erde sei erfüllt von seiner Herrlichkeit! Amen! Amen! -
And blessed be his glorious Name for euer: and let all the earth be filled with his glorie. So be it, euen so be it.
20 Zu Ende sind die Gebete Davids, des Isaisohnes.
