Psalm 141
1 Ein Lied, von David. - Ich rufe, Herr, zu Dir. Erhöre mich! Vernimm doch meine Stimme, wenn ich zu Dir rufe!
A psalm of David. Yahweh, I am crying out to you; come quickly to me. Listen to me when I call to you.
2 Laß mein Gebet wie Weihrauch vor Dich kommen und meine Andacht gleich dem Abendopfer!
May my prayer be like incense before you; may my lifted hands be like the evening sacrifice.
3 Setz meinem Mund, Herr, eine Wache! Verwahre meiner Lippen Tor! -
Yahweh, place a guard over my mouth; guard the door of my lips.
4 Laß nicht mein Herz, dem Bösen hold, mit Übeltätern Frevel üben, daß ich von ihren Leckerbissen koste!
Do not let my heart desire any evil thing or participate in sinful activities with men who behave wickedly. May I not eat any of their delicacies.
5 Der Fromme schlage mich! Nur Wohltat ist es. Er züchtige mich! Denn dies ist mir Öl aufs Haupt. Mein Haupt sträubt nimmer sich dagegen. Anhaltend ist bei ihren Nöten mein Gebet.
Let a righteous man hit me; it will be a kindness to me. Let him correct me; it will be like oil on my head; may my head not refuse to accept it. But my prayer is always against their wicked deeds.
6 Und fallen sie in ihrer Richter harte Hand, alsdann bekommen sie von mir zu hören, daß jene es nur gut gemeint.
Their leaders will be thrown down from the top of cliffs; they will hear that my own words are pleasant.
7 Wie man die Erde furchend gräbt; wird unser Leib dem Schlund der Unterwelt entrissen. (Sheol h7585)
They will have to say, “As when one plows and breaks up the ground, so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of Sheol.” (Sheol h7585)
8 Herr! Meine Augen blicken hin auf Dich; ich suche Schutz bei Dir. Laß mich nicht ohne Schutz!
Surely my eyes are on you, Yahweh, Lord; in you I take refuge; do not leave my soul defenseless.
9 Behüt mich vor der Schlinge, die sie legen, und vor der Übeltäter Stricken!
Protect me from the snares that they have laid for me, from the traps of evildoers.
10 In ihren Netzen mögen sich die Frevler fangen gerade dann, wenn ich vorübergehe!
Let the wicked fall into their own nets while I escape.
