Psalm 113

1 Alleluja! Des Herren Knechte, preist, lobpreist des Herren Namen!

Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye seruants of the Lord, prayse the Name of the Lord.

2 Des Herren Name sei gepriesen von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!

Blessed be the Name of the Lord from hencefoorth and for euer.

3 Vom Sonnenaufgang bis zum Niedergang sei hochgelobt des Herrn Name!

The Lordes Name is praysed from the rising of ye sunne, vnto ye going downe of the same.

4 Der Herr sei über alle Heiden hoch erhaben! Bis in den Himmel reiche seine Ehrung!

The Lord is high aboue all nations, and his glorie aboue the heauens.

5 Wer gleicht dem Herrn, unserm Gott, der in der Höhe thront,

Who is like vnto the Lord our God, that hath his dwelling on high!

6 der tief herniederblickt, im Himmel dort, hier auf die Erde?

Who abaseth himselfe to beholde things in the heauen and in the earth!

7 Aus Staub zieht er den Niedrigen empor und hebt den Dürftigen aus dem Kot

He raiseth the needie out of the dust, and lifteth vp the poore out of the dung,

8 und setzt ihn neben Fürsten, zu seines Volkes Fürsten.

That he may set him with the princes, euen with the princes of his people.

9 Er läßt die Frau, die nie gebar, im Hause bleiben, als Kindermutter hochwillkommen.

He maketh the barren woman to dwell with a familie, and a ioyfull mother of children. Prayse ye the Lord.
