Psalm 108
1 Ein Gesang, ein Lied, von David. Aus Herzensgrund, o Gott, will ich jetzt singen und frohlocken
A SONG. A PSALM OF DAVID. My heart is prepared, O God, I sing, indeed, I sing praise, also my glory.
2 Erwache, du mein Stolz! Erwache, Harfe du und Zither! Ich singe wach das Morgenrot.
Awake, stringed instrument and harp, I awake the dawn.
3 Ich preise, Herr, Dich bei den Völkern, und ich besinge Dich bei den Nationen,
I thank You among peoples, O YHWH, And I praise You among the nations.
4 daß Deine Huld bis an den Himmel reicht, bis zu den Wolken Deine Treue.
For Your kindness [is] great above the heavens, And Your truth to the clouds.
5 Erheb Dich, Gott, soweit der Himmel, und Deinen Ruhm, soweit die Erde reicht!
Be exalted above the heavens, O God, And Your glory above all the earth.
6 Daß Deine Lieblinge gerettet werden, mit Deiner Rechten hilf dazu! Erhöre uns! -
That Your beloved ones may be delivered, Save [with] Your right hand, and answer us.
7 Gott hat in seinem Heiligtum gesprochen: "Ich soll im Siegesjubel Sichem jetzt verteilen, das Sukkot-Tal vermessen.
God has spoken in His holiness: I exult, I apportion Shechem, And I measure the Valley of Succoth,
8 Mein würde Gilead, Manasse mein, und meine Hauptwehr Ephraim und Juda wär mein Herrscherstab.
Gilead [is] Mine, Manasseh [is] Mine, And Ephraim [is] the strength of My head, Judah [is] My lawgiver,
9 Ich zwänge Moab auch, das Waschbecken, und Edom, mir die Schuhe herzurichten, und über Philistäa triumphierte ich." -
Moab [is] a pot for My washing, On Edom I cast My shoe, Over Philistia I habitually shout.
10 Wer bringt mich aber jetzt zur festen Stadt? Wer führt mich jetzt nach Edom hin? -
Who brings me [into] the fortified city? Who has led me to Edom?
11 Bist Du's nicht, Gott, der uns verstößt, der nicht mit unsren Scharen auszieht, Gott?
Have You not, O God, cast us off? And You do not go out, O God, with our hosts!
12 Verschaffe Rettung uns aus dieser Not! Denn Menschenhilfe trügt.
Give to us help from adversity, And the salvation of man is vain.
13 Mit Gott verrichten wir dann Heldentaten; er nur kann unsere Feinde niedertreten.
We do mightily in God, And He treads down our adversaries!
