Psalm 100

1 Ein Lied, zur Danksagung. - Entgegenjauchze alle Welt dem Herrn!

Everyone in the world should shout joyfully to Yahweh!

2 Verehrt den Herrn mit Fröhlichkeit! Mit Jubel tretet vor sein Angesicht!

We should worship Yahweh gladly! We should come before him singing joyful songs.

3 Bekennt: Der Herr ist Gott! Erschaffen hat er uns, wir sind sein Eigen, sein Volk, die Schäflein seiner Weide.

We should acknowledge/recognize that Yahweh is God; it is he who made us, [so] we belong to him. We are the people that he takes care of [MET]; we are [like] sheep that are cared for by their shepherd.

4 Zu seinen Toren ziehet dankend ein, mit Lobgesang in seine Höfe! Ihm dankt! Lobpreiset seinen Namen!

Enter the gates [of his temple] thanking him; enter the courtyard [of the temple] singing songs to praise him! Thank him and praise him,

5 Denn gütig ist der Herr. Auf immer währet seine Huld und seine Treue für und für.

because Yahweh always [does] good [things for us]. He faithfully loves us, and (is faithful/is loyal to us forever/will never forsake us).
