Mica 7
1 Weh mir! Es geht mir wie beim Obsternten, wie bei der Nachlese der Traubenernte! Nicht eine Traube ist zum Essen da, nicht eine frühgereifte Feige, nach der einen gelüstet.
Woe! to me for I have become like gathering of summer fruit like gleanings of [the] grape harvest there not [is] a cluster of grapes to eat early fig[s] it craves appetite my.
2 Ausgestorben sind die Frommen aus dem Land, und Redliche gibt's nicht mehr bei den Leuten. Sie lauern allesamt aufs Blutvergießen; der eine legt dem andern Netze.
He has perished [the] faithful from the land and [is] an upright [person] among humankind there not all of them for blood they lie in wait each brother his they hunt a net.
3 Fürs Böse sind die Hände tüchtig. Der Fürst stellt ein Verlangen; der Richter zeigt sich einverstanden. Der Große spricht nur seine Wünsche aus, und jener sucht sie zu erfüllen.

4 Der Beste unter ihnen ist dem Dornbusch gleich, der Redliche noch schlimmer als die Dornenhecke. Am Tag, nach dem du Sehnsucht trägst, wird dich die Strafe treffen. Dann hebt ihr Weinen an.
Good person their [is] like a thorn-bush an upright [person] more than a thorn hedge [the] day of watchmen your punishment your it has come now it will be confusion their.
5 Dem Freunde trauet nicht! Verlaßt euch nicht auf die Vertraute! Vor deinem liebsten Weib verwahre deines Mundes Tor!
May not you believe in a neighbor may not you trust in a close friend from [she who] lies of bosom your guard [the] openings of mouth your.
6 Der Sohn schmäht seinen Vater; die Tochter lehnt sich gegen ihre Mutter auf; die Schwiegertochter gegen ihre Schwiegermutter. Des Mannes Feinde sind die Leute seines Hauses.
For a son [is] treating with contempt a father a daughter [is] arising on mother her a daughter-in-law on mother-in-law her [are the] enemies of a person [the] people of own household his.
7 Ich aber will zum Herrn aufschauen, auf meines Heiles Gott die Hoffnung setzen. Mein Gott wird mich erhören. -
And I for Yahweh I will watch I will wait for [the] God of salvation my he will hear me God my.
8 Du meine Feindin! Jauchze du nicht über mich! Gefallen bin ich zwar; doch steh ich wieder auf. Und wenn ich auch im Finstern sitze, wird der Herr mir doch zum Lichte.
May not you rejoice O enemy my to me for I have fallen I will arise for I sit in darkness Yahweh [will be] light of me.
9 Den Zorn des Herrn will ich ertragen, weil ich mich an ihm versündigt, bis daß er meinen Rechtsstreit schlichtet, mir Recht verschafft und mich hinausführt an das Licht, daß ich seine Gerechtigkeit erlebe.
[the] indignation of Yahweh I will bear for I have sinned to him until that he will conduct case my and he will do justice my he will bring out me to the light I will look on righteousness his.
10 Wenn meine Feindin dies erblickt, dann wird Enttäuschung sie einhüllen, die zu mir gesprochen hat: "Wo ist der Herr, dein Gott?" Da laben meine Augen sich an ihr; dann wird sie wie der Gassenkot zertreten.
And she will see enemy my and it will cover her shame [she] who says to me where [is]? he Yahweh God your eyes my they will look on her now she will become a trampling place like [the] mud of [the] streets.
11 Am Tage, da man deine Mauern wieder baut, an jenem Tage, da die Grenzen schwinden,
A day to build walls your a day that it will be far a boundary.
12 an jenem Tage kommen sie zu dir von Assur und Ägyptens Städten, von Tyrus bis zum Strom, von Meer zu Meer, von Berg zu Berg.
A day that and to you someone will come from Assyria and [the] cities of Egypt and from Egypt and to [the] River and sea from sea and mountain the mountain.
13 Verwüstet wird die Erde der Bewohner wegen, um ihrer Werke willen. -
And it will become the earth a desolation on inhabitants its from [the] fruit of deeds their.
14 Mit Deinem Stabe weide Du Dein Volk, die Herde, die Dein Eigen ist, die ganz verlassen im Gestrüpp, jetzt wieder auf dem Fruchtgefilde weilt! In Gilead und Basan soll sie wieder wie vor alters weiden!
Shepherd people your with rod your [the] flock of inheritance your [who] dwell alone a forest in [the] midst of a garden-land let them graze Bashan and Gilead like [the] days of antiquity.
15 "Wie einst bei deinem Auszug aus Ägypterland, so lasse ich sie wieder Wunder schauen."
Like [the] days coming out you from [the] land of Egypt I will show him wonders.
16 Beschämt erblicken dies die Heiden; zuschanden werden sie an aller ihrer Macht und legen auf den Mund die Hand, und ihre Ohren werden taub.
They will see nations so they may be ashamed from all strength their they will put a hand on a mouth ears their they will be deaf.
17 Sie sollen Staub wie Schlangen lecken, jenem gleich, was auf dem Boden kriecht. Aus ihren Winkeln kommen sie und beben. Unserem Gott, dem Herrn, nahn sie sich zitternd und fürchten sich vor Dir.
They will lick up dust like snake like [things which] crawl of [the] earth they will quake from strongholds their to Yahweh God our they will be in dread and they may be afraid from you.
18 Wer ist ein Gott wie Du, der Missetat vergibt und Sündenschuld verzeiht dem Reste seines Eigentums, der seinen Zorn nicht ewig dauern läßt, vielmehr am Wohltun seine Freude hat?
Who? [is] a God like you [who] forgives iniquity and [who] passes over transgression to [the] remnant of inheritance his not he keeps hold of for ever anger his for [is one] desirous of covenant loyalty he.
19 Aufs neue wird er unser sich erbarmen und unsere Schuld abwaschen. Du schleuderst in des Meeres Tiefen alle ihre Sünden.
He will return he will have compassion on us he will subdue iniquities our so you may cast in [the] depths of [the] sea all sins their.
20 Und Du erfüllst die Treue gegen Jakob und die Huld für Abraham, wie Du geschworen hast zur Urzeit unsern Vätern.
You will give faithfulness to Jacob covenant loyalty to Abraham which you swore to fathers our from days of antiquity.
