Matthaeus 7
1 "Richtet nicht, damit ihr nicht gerichtet werdet.
'Judge not, that ye may not be judged,
2 Denn wie ihr richtet, so werdet ihr gerichtet werden. Und mit dem Maße, womit ihr messet, wird euch zugemessen werden.
for in what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged, and in what measure ye measure, it shall be measured to you.
3 Was siehst du zwar den Splitter im Auge deines Bruders; den Balken aber in deinem eigenen Auge siehst du nicht?
'And why dost thou behold the mote that [is] in thy brother's eye, and the beam that [is] in thine own eye dost not consider?
4 Oder, wie kannst du zu deinem Bruder sagen: 'Laß mich den Splitter dir aus dem Auge ziehen', und sieh, in deinem Auge steckt ein Balken!
or, how wilt thou say to thy brother, Suffer I may cast out the mote from thine eye, and lo, the beam [is] in thine own eye?
5 Du Heuchler! Entferne zuerst den Balken aus deinem Auge, und dann erst magst du sehen, wie du den Splitter aus dem Auge deines Bruders ziehst.
Hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then thou shalt see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
6 Gebt das Heilige nicht den Hunden, und werfet eure Perlen nicht den Schweinen vor. Sie würden sie ja nur mit den Füßen zertreten, sich umwenden und euch zerreißen.
'Ye may not give that which is [holy] to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the swine, that they may not trample them among their feet, and having turned — may rend you.
7 Bittet und es wird euch gegeben werden; sucht und ihr werdet finden; klopft an und es wird euch aufgetan.
'Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you;
8 Denn jeder, der bittet, empfängt; wer sucht, der findet; wer anklopft, dem wird aufgetan.
for every one who is asking doth receive, and he who is seeking doth find, and to him who is knocking it shall be opened.
9 Oder ist etwa einer unter euch, der seinem Kinde, wenn es ihn um Brot bittet, einen Stein darreichen würde?
'Or what man is of you, of whom, if his son may ask a loaf — a stone will he present to him?
10 Oder, wenn es um einen Fisch bittet, ihm eine Schlange geben würde?
and if a fish he may ask — a serpent will he present to him?
11 Wenn nun ihr, die ihr böse seid, euern Kindern doch gute Gaben zu geben wisset, um wieviel mehr wird euer Vater, der in den Himmeln ist, denen Gutes geben, die ihn bitten.
if, therefore, ye being evil, have known good gifts to give to your children, how much more shall your Father who [is] in the heavens give good things to those asking him?
12 Alles nun, was ihr wollt, daß euch die Menschen tun, das sollt auch ihr ihnen tun. Denn das ist das Gesetz und die Propheten.
'All things, therefore, whatever ye may will that men may be doing to you, so also do to them, for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Tretet ein durch die enge Pforte. Weit ist ja die Pforte und breit der Weg, der ins Verderben führt, und viele sind's, die auf ihm hineingehen.
'Go ye in through the strait gate, because wide [is] the gate, and broad the way that is leading to the destruction, and many are those going in through it;
14 Wie eng ist die Pforte, wie schmal der Weg, der zum Leben führt, und wenige sind es, die ihn finden.
how strait [is] the gate, and compressed the way that is leading to the life, and few are those finding it!
15 Hütet euch vor den falschen Propheten. Sie kommen zu euch in Schafskleidern; inwendig aber sind sie reißende Wölfe.
'But, take heed of the false prophets, who come unto you in sheep's clothing, and inwardly are ravening wolves.
16 An ihren Früchten könnt ihr sie erkennen: Erntet man denn Trauben von den Dornen oder Feigen von den Disteln?
From their fruits ye shall know them; do [men] gather from thorns grapes? or from thistles figs?
17 So trägt jeder gute Baum gute Früchte, der schlechte Baum aber trägt schlechte Früchte.
so every good tree doth yield good fruits, but the bad tree doth yield evil fruits.
18 Ein guter Baum kann keine schlechten Früchte tragen, ein schlechter Baum wird keine guten Früchte bringen.
A good tree is not able to yield evil fruits, nor a bad tree to yield good fruits.
19 Jeder Baum, der keine gute Frucht trägt, wird umgehauen und ins Feuer geworfen.
Every tree not yielding good fruit is cut down and is cast to fire:
20 Also, an ihren Früchten werdet ihr sie erkennen.
therefore from their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Nicht jeder, der zu mir sagt: 'Herr, Herr!' wird in das Reich der Himmel kommen, vielmehr wer den Willen meines Vaters tut, der in den Himmeln ist, wird ins Himmelreich eingehen.
'Not every one who is saying to me Lord, lord, shall come into the reign of the heavens; but he who is doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens.
22 Viele werden an jenem Tage zu mir sprechen: 'Herr, Herr, haben wir denn nicht in deinem Namen prophezeit, in deinem Namen Dämonen ausgetrieben, in deinem Namen viele Wunderzeichen gewirkt?'
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, lord, have we not in thy name prophesied? and in thy name cast out demons? and in thy name done many mighty things?
23 Ich werde ihnen aber dann versichern: 'Ich habe euch niemals gekannt: hinweg von mir, ihr Übeltäter.'
and then I will acknowledge to them, that — I never knew you, depart from me ye who are working lawlessness.
24 Jeder also, der diese meine Worte hört und nach ihnen handelt, ist einem klugen Manne gleich: Er hat sein Haus auf einen Felsen aufgebaut.
'Therefore, every one who doth hear of me these words, and doth do them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house upon the rock;
25 Platzregen strömte nieder, die Fluten kamen, die Stürme brausten und tobten gegen jenes Haus, doch es fiel nicht ein; denn festgegründet stand es auf dem Felsen.
and the rain did descend, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell not, for it had been founded on the rock.
26 Jeder aber, der diese meine Worte hört und nicht nach ihnen handelt, ist einem törichten Manne gleich: Er hat sein Haus auf Sand gebaut.
'And every one who is hearing of me these words, and is not doing them, shall be likened to a foolish man who built his house upon the sand;
27 Platzregen strömte nieder, die Fluten kamen, die Stürme brausten und tobten gegen jenes Haus; es fiel ein und stürzte ganz zusammen."
and the rain did descend, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell, and its fall was great.'
28 Als Jesus mit diesen Reden fertig war, da war die ganze Menge von seiner Rede hingerissen.
And it came to pass, when Jesus ended these words, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,
29 Er lehrte sie wie einer, der Vollmacht hat, und nicht wie ihre Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer.
for he was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
