Matthaeus 13
1 An jenem Tag ging Jesus aus dem Hause fort und setzte sich am Meere nieder
On that day, Jesus, going out of the house, was sitting near the sea:
2 Da sammelten sich bei ihm große Scharen, so daß er ein Boot besteigen mußte; dort setzte er sich nieder; die ganze Menge aber stand am Ufer.
and there were gathered unto him, large multitudes, so that, he, into a boat, entered, and was sitting, and, all the multitude, on the beach was standing.
3 Er sprach nun viel in Gleichnissen zu ihnen: "Siehe, es ging der Sämann aus zu säen.
And he spake unto them many things, in parables, saying: Lo! the sower went forth to sow, —
4 Und als er säte, fiel ein Teil hin auf den Weg, es kamen die Vögel des Himmels und fraßen es.
and, as he sowed, some, indeed, fell by the pathway, and, the birds, came, and devoured it;
5 Ein andres fiel auf steinigen Grund, wo nicht viel Erdreich war. Rasch schoß es in den Halm; es hatte nämlich keinen tiefen Boden.
And, some, fell on the rocky places, where it had not much earth, —and, straightway, it sprang up, because if had no depth of earth;
6 Doch als die Sonne aufgegangen war, wurde es versengt, weil es keine Wurzeln hatte.
and, the sun arising, it was scorched, and, because it had no root, it withered away;
7 Ein andres fiel unter Dornen. Die Dornen wuchsen auf und erstickten es.
And, some, fell upon the thorns, and the thorns came up, and choked it;
8 Ein andres fiel auf guten Boden und trug Frucht: hundertfältig, sechzigfältig, dreißigfältig.
But, some, fell upon the good ground, and did yield fruit, —this, indeed a hundred fold, and, that, sixty, and, the other, thirty.
9 Wer Ohren hat, der höre!"
He that hath ears, let him hear.
10 Da traten seine Jünger näher und fragten ihn: "Warum sprichst du in Gleichnissen zu ihnen?"
And the disciples, coming near, said to him, Wherefore, in parables, art thou speaking to them?
11 Er sprach zu ihnen: "Euch ist es vergönnt, die Geheimnisse des Himmelreiches zu verstehen, doch jenen ist es nicht vergönnt.
And, he, answering, said, Because, unto you, hath it been given, to get to know the sacred secrets of the kingdom of the heavens, —whereas, unto them, hath it not been given.
12 Wer nämlich hat, dem wird gegeben werden, und er wird im Überflusse haben, doch wer nicht hat, dem wird auch das genommen werden, was er besitzt.
For, whosoever hath, it shall be given, to him, and he shall be made to abound, —but, whoever hath not, even what he hath, shall be taken from him?
13 Deshalb rede ich in Gleichnissen zu ihnen, weil sie sehen und doch nicht sehen, hören und doch nicht hören, noch zur Einsicht kommen.
For this reason, in parables, unto them, do I speak, —because, seeing, they see not, and, hearing, they hear not, —neither do they understand.
14 An ihnen wird die Weissagung des Isaias erfüllt, die lautet: 'Ihr werdet mit eigenen Ohren hören, aber nicht zur Einsicht kommen, und mit eigenen Augen sehen, aber nicht einsehen.
And, again is being fulfilled in them, the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, —They shall, surely hear, and yet will not understand, and, surely see, and yet not perceive;
15 Verstockt ist das Herz dieses Volkes; schwerhörig sind seine Ohren, und seine Augen hält es geschlossen, damit sie mit den Augen nicht sehen und mit den Ohren nicht hören und verständig würden mit den Herzen, damit sie sich bekehrten und ich sie heilen könnte'.
For the heart of this people hath become dense, and, with their ears, heavily have they heard, and, their eyes, have they closed, —lest, once they should see with their eyes, and, with their ears, should hear, and, with their hearts, should understand, and return; when I would certainly heal them.
16 Doch selig eure Augen, weil sie sehen, und eure Ohren, weil sie hören.
But happy are, your, eyes, that they see, and your ears, that they hear;
17 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Viele Propheten und Gerechte verlangten sehnlichst zu sehen, was ihr sehet, sie sahen es aber nicht, zu hören, was ihr höret, sie hörten es aber nicht.
For, verily, I say unto you—Many prophets and righteous men, have coveted to see what ye see, and have not seen, and to hear what ye hear, and have not heard.
18 Ihr also sollt das Gleichnis vom Sämann vernehmen:
Hear, ye, then, the parable of him that sowed: —
19 Wer immer das Wort vom Reiche hört, doch nicht zur Einsicht kommt, da kommt der Böse und raubt, was in seinem Herzen gesät ist. Das ist der, bei dem es auf den Weg gesät war.
When anyone heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, the wicked one cometh, and catcheth up that which hath been sown in his heart, —this, is he, by the pathway, sown.
20 Auf steinigen Grund ist es bei dem gesät, der zwar das Wort anhört und es sofort mit Freuden aufnimmt.
And, he on the rocky places sown, the same, is he that, heareth the word, and, straightway, with joy, receiveth it;
21 Doch hat er in sich keine Wurzel, denn er ist unbeständig; kommt nämlich Trübsal oder Verfolgung um des Wortes willen, dann wird er sogleich irre.
yet hath he no root in himself, but is, only for a season, —and, there arising, tribulation or persecution because of the word, straightway, he findeth cause of stumbling.
22 Und unter Dornen ist es bei dem gesät, der zwar das Wort anhört, jedoch die Sorgen dieser Welt sowie der trügerische Reichtum ersticken dann das Wort, und so bleibt es ohne Frucht. (aiōn g165)
And, he among the thorns sown, the same, is he that, heareth the word, —and, the anxiety of the age and the deceit of riches, choke up the word, and, unfruitful, it becometh. (aiōn g165)
23 Auf guten Boden aber ist es bei dem gesät, der das Wort hört, zur Einsicht kommt und dann auch Frucht bringt: hundertfältig, sechzigfältig, dreißigfältig."
But, he on the good ground sown, the same, is he who doth hear and understand the word, who, indeed, beareth fruit and produceth, —this, a hundred, and, that, sixty, and, the other, thirty.
24 Ein anderes Gleichnis trug er ihnen vor; er sprach: "Das Himmelreich ist einem Manne gleich, der guten Samen auf seinen Acker säte.
Another parable, put he before them, saying—The kingdom of the heavens hath become like a man sowing good seed in his field;
25 Während die Leute schliefen, kam sein Feind, säte Unkraut mitten in den Weizen und ging weg.
and, while men were sleeping, his enemy came, and sowed over darnel, in among the wheat, —and away he went.
26 Als nun die Saat heranwuchs und Frucht ansetzte, zeigte sich auch das Unkraut.
And, when the blade shot up, and brought forth, fruit, then, appeared, the darnel also.
27 Da traten die Knechte des Hausvaters zu ihm hin und fragten ihn: 'Herr! Hast du nicht guten Samen auf deinen Acker gesät? Woher hat er denn das Unkraut?'
And the servants of the householder, coming near, said to him, —Sir! was it not, good seed, thou didst sow in thy field? Whence then hath it, darnel?
28 Er sprach zu ihnen: 'Das hat ein Feind getan.' Die Knechte fragten ihn: 'Sollen wir hingehen und es einsammeln?'
And he said unto them—An enemy, hath, done this. And they say, unto him—Wilt thou, then, that we go and collect it?
29 'Nein!' sprach er. 'Ihr könntet sonst, wenn ihr das Unkraut einsammelt, zugleich den Weizen mit herausreißen.
And, he, saith—Nay! lest, at any time, while collecting the darnel, ye uproot, along with it, the wheat:
30 Laßt beides zusammen wachsen bis zur Ernte. Zur Zeit der Ernte will ich dann den Schnittern sagen: Sammelt zuerst das Unkraut und bindet es in Büschel zum Verbrennen; den Weizen aber sammelt ein in meinen Speicher.'"
Suffer both to grow together until the harvest, and at, harvest time, I will say unto the reapers, —Collect ye first, the darnel, and bind it into bundles, with a view to the burning it up; but, the wheat, be gathering it into my barn.
31 Ein anderes Gleichnis trug er ihnen vor; er sprach: "Das Himmelreich ist einem Senfkorn gleich, das jemand auf seinen Acker säte.
Another parable, put he before them, saying—The kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field;
32 Dieses ist zwar das kleinste unter allen Samenkörnern; ist es aber herangewachsen, so ist es das größte unter allen Gartenkräutern und wird zum Baume, so daß die Vögel des Himmels kommen und in seinen Zweigen nisten."
which, indeed, is, less, than all seeds, but, when grown, is greater than garden-plants, and becometh a tree, —so that the birds of heaven come, and lodge among its branches.
33 Und er erzählte ihnen noch ein Gleichnis: "Das Himmelreich ist einem Sauerteig gleich. Ihn nahm ein Weib und vermengte ihn mit drei Maß Mehl, bis alles ganz durchsäuert war."
Another parable, [spake he unto them]: —The kingdom of the heavens is like, unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour until, the whole, was leavened.
34 All dies sprach Jesus zu den Scharen gleichnisweise; ja, ohne Gleichnis redete er nicht zu ihnen,
All these things, spake Jesus in parables, unto the multitudes, and, without a parable, was he speaking, nothing, unto them:
35 damit erfüllt würde, was durch den Propheten gesprochen ward, wenn er sagt: "In Gleichnissen will ich meinen Mund öffnen und will enthüllen, was verborgen war seit Grundlegung der Welt."
that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken through the prophet, saying—I will open, in parables, my mouth, I will bring up things hidden from the foundation!
36 Alsdann entließ er die Scharen und ging ins Haus zurück. Da traten seine Jünger zu ihm mit der Bitte: "Erkläre uns das Gleichnis vom Unkraut auf dem Acker!"
Then, dismissing the multitudes, he went into the house, and his disciples came near to him, saying—Make quite plain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.
37 Er sprach: "Der den guten Samen sät, ist der Menschensohn.
And, he, answering, said—He that soweth the good seed, is the Son of Man;
38 Der Acker ist die Welt. Der gute Same sind die Kinder des Reiches; das Unkraut sind die Kinder des Bösen.
And, the field, is the world, and, the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, —and, the darnel seeds, are the sons of the evil one;
39 Der Feind, der es gesät hat, ist der Teufel. Die Ernte ist die Vollendung der Welt; die Schnitter sind die Engel. (aiōn g165)
And, the enemy that sowed them, is the adversary, and, the harvest, is, the conclusion of an age, and, the reapers, are, messengers. (aiōn g165)
40 Wie man das Unkraut sammelt und im Feuer verbrennt, so wird es auch bei der Vollendung der Welt sein: (aiōn g165)
Just, therefore, as collected is the darnel, and, with fire is burned, so, will it be in the conclusion of the age: — (aiōn g165)
41 Der Menschensohn wird seine Engel aussenden; sie werden aus seinem Reiche alle zusammenlesen, die Ärgernis gegeben und die Unrecht getan haben,
The Son of Man will send forth his messengers, and they will collect, out of his kingdom, all the causes of stumbling, and the doers of lawlessness,
42 und werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen; dort wird Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein.
and will cast them into the furnace of fire: there, will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Dann werden die Gerechten leuchten wie die Sonne im Reiche ihres Vaters. Wer Ohren hat, höre!
Then, the righteous, will shine forth as the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear!
44 Das Himmelreich ist einem Schatze gleich, der im Acker verborgen lag. Ihn fand ein Mann, verhehlte ihn jedoch, ging in seiner Freude hin, verkaufte alles, was er hatte, und kaufte jenen Acker.
The kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a treasure hid in the field, which a man, finding, hid, —and, by reason of his joy, withdraweth and selleth whatsoever he hath, and buyeth that field.
45 Das Himmelreich ist ferner einem Kaufmann gleich, der schöne Perlen suchte.
Again, the kingdom of the heavens is, like, unto, a merchant, seeking beautiful pearls, —
46 Da fand er eine Perle von gar großem Wert. Er ging hin, verkaufte alles, was er hatte, und kaufte sie.
and, finding one very precious pearl, departing, he at once sold all things, whatsoever he had, and bought it.
47 Das Himmelreich ist ferner einem Netze gleich; man warf es ins Meer und fing Fische aller Art.
Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a large drag-net, cast into the sea and gathering of every kind, —
48 Und als es voll geworden war, zog man es ans Ufer; man setzte sich und sammelte die guten in Behälter, die schlechten aber warf man weg.
which, when it was filled, they dragged up on the beach, and, sitting down, collected the good into vessels, but, the worthless, forth they cast.
49 So wird es auch bei der Vollendung der Welt sein: Die Engel werden ausgehen, die Bösen von den Guten scheiden (aiōn g165)
So, will it be in the conclusion of the age: The messengers will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous; (aiōn g165)
50 und jene in den Feuerofen werfen; dort wird Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein."
and will cast them into the furnace of fire: there, will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
51 Und Jesus fragte sie: "Habt ihr dies alles verstanden?" "Ja, Herr", erwiderten sie ihm.
Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea!
52 Er sprach zu ihnen: "Darum gleicht jeder Lehrer, der in der Schule des Himmelreiches herangebildet ist, einem Hausvater, der aus seiner Vorratskammer Neues und Altes hervorholt."
And, he, said unto them—Wherefore, every scribe, discipled unto the kingdom of the heavens, is like unto a householder, who putteth forth out of his treasure, things new and old.
53 Als Jesus diese Gleichnisreden beendet hatte, begab er sich von dort hinweg.
And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, he removed from thence;
54 Er kam in seine Vaterstadt und lehrte sie in ihrer Synagoge. Voll Staunen fragte man: "Woher hat dieser solche Weisheit und die Wunderkraft;
and, coming into his own city, began teaching them in their synagogue, so that with astonishment were they being struck, and were saying—Whence, hath, this one, this wisdom, and the mighty works?
55 ist er denn nicht der Sohn des Zimmermanns? Heißt nicht seine Mutter Maria und seine Brüder Jakobus, Joseph, Simon und Judas?
Is not, this one, the carpenter’s, son? Is not, his mother, called Mary, and are not his brethren—James and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?
56 Und wohnen denn nicht alle seine Schwestern hier bei uns? Woher mag er denn all dies haben?"
and, his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence, then hath, this one, all these things?
57 So nahm man also an ihm Anstoß. Doch Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Ein Prophet gilt nirgends weniger als in seiner Vaterstadt und in seinem Vaterhaus!"
And they began to find cause of stumbling in him. But, Jesus, said unto them—A prophet is not without honour, save in his city, and in his house.
58 Er wirkte dort nicht viele Wunder wegen ihres Unglaubens.
And he did not, there, many mighty works, because of their unbelief.
