Markus 2
1 Ein paar Tage später kam er wieder nach Kapharnaum. Man erfuhr, daß er im Hause sei.
And, entering again into Capernaum, after some days, it was heard say—He is in a house;
2 So viele strömten zusammen, daß selbst vor der Tür kein Platz mehr war. Und er legte ihnen das Wort aus.
and many were gathered together, so that no longer was there room even in the approaches to the door, —and he began speaking unto them the word;
3 Da kamen einige daher und brachten zu ihm einen Lahmen; vier Männer trugen ihn.
and they come, bearing unto him a paralytic, upborne by four, —
4 Doch des Gedränges wegen konnten sie nicht zu ihm kommen; da deckten sie gerade, wo er stand, das Dach auf und schufen dadurch eine Öffnung und ließen die Bahre, auf welcher der Lahme lag, hinab.
and, not being able to get near him by reason of the multitude, they uncovered the roof where he was, and, having broken it up, they began letting down the couch whereon the paralytic was lying;
5 Als Jesus ihren Glauben sah, sprach er zu dem Lahmen: "Mein Sohn, vergeben sind dir deine Sünden."
and, Jesus, seeing their faith, saith unto the paralytic—Child! forgiven are thy sins!
6 Es saßen aber einige der Schriftgelehrten dort, die in ihrem Herzen dachten:
Now there were certain of the Scribes there, sitting and deliberating in their hearts, —
7 "Wie kann er nur so reden? Er lästert. Wer kann denn Sünden vergeben als nur der Eine, Gott?"
Why doth, this, man thus talk? he is speaking profanely! Who can forgive sins, save one, God?
8 Doch Jesus erkannte sofort in seinem Geiste, daß sie solches bei sich dachten. Er sprach zu ihnen: "Was denkt ihr da in eurem Herzen?
And Jesus, straightway, taking note in his spirit, that [thus] they are deliberating within themselves, saith [unto them]—Why, these things, are ye deliberating in your hearts?
9 Was ist leichter, zu dem Lahmen zu sagen: 'Vergeben sind dir deine Sünden' oder zu sagen: 'Steh auf, nimm deine Bahre und geh umher?'
Which is easier—to say unto the paralytic, Forgiven are thy sins, or to say, Rise, [and] take up thy couch, and be walking?
10 Ihr aber sollt wissen, daß der Menschensohn die Macht besitzt, auf Erden Sünden zu vergeben." Dann sprach er zum Gelähmten:
But, that ye may know that the Son of Man hath authority to be forgiving sins upon the earth, he saith to the paralytic:
11 "Ich sage dir: Steh auf, nimm deine Bahre und geh nach Hause!"
To thee, I say, Rise, take up thy couch, and be going thy way unto thy house.
12 Und er stand auf, nahm seine Bahre und ging sogleich vor aller Augen weg. Alle waren außer sich, lobten Gott und sprachen: "So etwas haben wir noch nie gesehen."
And he arose, and, straightway taking up the couch, went forth before all, —so that all were beside themselves and were glorifying God, [saying]—Thus, we never saw it!
13 Dann ging er wieder an das Meer hinaus. Die ganze Menge strömte zu ihm hin, und er lehrte sie.
And he went forth again by the sea, —and all the multitude was coming unto him, and he began teaching them.
14 Im Vorübergehen sah er Levi, des Alphäus Sohn, an der Zollstätte sitzen. Er sprach zu ihm: "Folge mir!" Da stand er auf und folgte ihm.
And, passing by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting over the tax-office, —and saith unto him—Be following me! And, arising, he followed him.
15 Als er in seinem Haus zu Tische saß, waren auch viele Zöllner und Sünder zu Tische mit Jesus und Seinen Jüngern. - Es gab schon viele, die sich ihm angeschlossen hatten. -
And it cometh to pass, that he is reclining in his house, and many tax-collectors and sinners were reclining with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many, and they began following him.
16 Die Schriftgelehrten bei den Pharisäern sahen, wie er mit Sündern und Zöllnern aß; sie fragten deshalb seine Jünger: "Warum ißt und trinkt er denn mit Zöllnern und Sündern?"
And the Scribes and Pharisees, seeing that he was eating with the sinners and the tax-collectors, began saying unto his disciples—With the tax-collectors and sinners, is he eating?
17 Jesus hörte dies und sprach: "Nicht die Gesunden brauchen einen Arzt, sondern die Kranken. Nicht dazu bin ich da, Gerechte zu berufen, sondern Sünder."
And, hearing it, Jesus saith unto them—No need, have the strong of a physician, but they who are sick, I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
18 Die Jünger des Johannes und die Pharisäer hatten einmal einen Fasttag. Da kamen sie und fragten ihn: "Warum fasten die Jünger des Johannes und die Pharisäer; deine Jünger aber fasten nicht?"
And the disciples of John and the Pharisees were fasting; and they come and say unto him—For what cause, do, the disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees, fast, whereas, thy disciples, fast not?
19 Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Können denn die Hochzeitsgäste fasten, solange der Bräutigam bei ihnen weilt? Solange sie den Bräutigam bei sich haben, können sie nicht fasten.
And Jesus said unto them—Is it possible for the sons of the bridechamber, while the bridegroom is with them, to be fasting? So long as they have the bridegroom with them, it is impossible, to fast.
20 Es werden aber Tage kommen, da ihnen der Bräutigam entrissen ist; an jenen Tagen werden sie dann fasten.
But there will come days, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and, then, they will fast, in that day.
21 Niemand näht einen Fleck aus ungewalktem Zeug auf einen alten Mantel; sonst reißt der neue Fleck auch noch vom alten Mantel etwas weg, und der Riß wird nur noch größer.
No one, seweth a patch of unshrunk cloth upon an old mantle, —otherwise, at least, the shrinking teareth away from it—the new from the old—and, a worse rent is made.
22 Auch füllt niemand neuen Wein in alte Schläuche; sonst sprengt der Wein die Schläuche, und Wein und Schläuche sind verdorben. Nein, neuen Wein muß man in neue Schläuche füllen."
And, no one, poureth new wine into fold skins, —otherwise, at least, the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost, and, the skins. [But new wine is for unused skins.]
23 An einem Sabbat ging er durch die Ährenfelder hin. Seine Jünger rupften im Vorübergehen Ähren ab.
And it came to pass, that he, on the Sabbath, was passing through the cornfields, and his disciples began to be going forward, plucking the ears of corn.
24 Da sprachen die Pharisäer zu ihm: "Sieh, wie sie am Sabbat tun, was verboten ist."
And, the Pharisees, were saying, —See! why are they doing, on the Sabbath, what is not allowed?
25 Doch er sprach zu ihnen: "Habt ihr noch nie gelesen, was David tat, als er in Not war und er und seine Begleiter Hunger hatten?
And he saith unto them—Have ye never read what David did, when he had need and hungered, —he, and they who were with him:
26 Wie er das Haus Gottes betrat zur Zeit des Hohenpriesters Abjathar und dort die Schaubrote aß, die nur die Priester essen dürfen, und wie er auch noch seinen Gefährten gab?"
[how] he entered into the house of God, while Abiathar was High-priest, and, the presence-bread, did eat, —which it is not allowed to eat, save unto the priests, —and gave, unto them also who were with him?
27 Und weiter sagte er zu ihnen: "Der Sabbat ist des Menschen wegen da und nicht der Mensch des Sabbats wegen.
And he was saying unto them—The Sabbath, for man, was made, and not, man, for, the Sabbath:
28 Übrigens ist der Menschensohn auch Herr des Sabbats."
So that the Son of Man is, Lord, even of the Sabbath.
