Lukas 10
And after these things, Jesus separated from among his disciples seventy other persons, and sent them, two and two, before his face, to every place and city whither he was to go.
2 Er sprach zu ihnen: "Die Ernte ist groß, jedoch der Arbeiter sind es wenige. Bittet den Herrn der Ernte, daß er Arbeiter in seine Ernte sende.
And he said to them: The harvest is great, and the laborers few: pray ye, therefore, the lord of the harvest that he would send laborers into his harvest.
3 Geht hin! Seht, ich sende euch wie Lämmer mitten unter Wölfe.
Go ye: lo, I send you forth, as sheep among wolves.
4 Nehmt weder Beutel, Bettelsack noch Schuhe mit; grüßt niemand unterwegs.
Take to you no purses, nor wallets, nor shoes; and salute no man by the way.
5 Wo immer ihr ein Haus betretet, da sagt zuerst: 'Der Friede sei mit diesem Hause.'
And into whatever house ye enter, first say: Peace be to this house.
6 Wohnt darin ein Kind des Friedens, so wird euer Friede auf ihm ruhen, wo nicht, wird er zu euch zurückkehren.
And if the son of peace is there, your salutation will rest upon it; but if not, your salutation will return to you.
7 Bleibt in dem gleichen Hause und eßt und trinkt, was sich dort findet, der Arbeiter ist seines Lohnes wert. Zieht nicht von einem Haus zum anderen.
And remain in that house, eating and drinking of what it affords; for the laborer is worthy of his hire. And pass not from house to house.
8 Und wo ihr eine Stadt betretet und man euch aufnimmt, da eßt, was man euch vorsetzt.
And into whatever city ye enter, and they receive you; eat that which set before you.
9 Heilt die Kranken, die dort sind und verkündet ihnen: 'Das Reich Gottes hat sich euch genaht.'
And heal them that are sick in it; and say to them: The kingdom of God hath come near you.
10 Wo immer aber ihr in eine Stadt eintretet und man euch nicht aufnimmt, da geht auf ihre Straßen hinaus und sagt:
And into whatever city ye enter, and they receive you not; go out into the street, and say:
11 'Sogar den Staub, der sich in eurer Stadt an unsere Füße angehängt hat, schütteln wir auf euch. Doch das sollt ihr wissen: Das Reich Gottes hat sich genaht.'
Even the dust of your city which adhereth to our feet, we shake off against you: but this know ye, that the kingdom of God hath come near to you.
12 Ich sage euch: 'An jenem Tage' wird es Sodoma erträglicher gehen als jener Stadt.
I say to you, that for Sodom there will be comfort in that day, rather than for that city.
13 Wehe dir, Chorozain! Wehe dir, Bethsaida! Denn wenn in Tyrus und in Sidon die Wunder geschehen wären, die bei euch geschehen sind, dann hätten sie schon längst in Sack und Asche sitzend Buße getan.
Woe to thee, Chorazin; woe to thee, Bethsaida; for if in Tyre and Sidon there had been the mighty deeds, that were in you, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes.
14 Doch Tyrus und Sidon wird es erträglicher ergehen im Gericht als euch.
But for Tyre and Sidon there will be comfort in the day of judgment, rather than for you.
15 Und du, Kapharnaum! Warst du nicht bis in den Himmel erhoben worden? Bis in die Hölle hinab sollst du fahren. (Hadēs g86)
And thou Capernaum, that art lifted up to heaven, shalt be brought down to hell. (Hadēs g86)
16 Wer auf euch hört, hört auf mich; wer euch abweist, weist mich ab, wer aber mich abweist, weist den ab, der mich gesandt hat."
He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth me; and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me.
17 Voll Freuden kamen die zweiund- siebzig wiederum zurück. Sie sagten: "Herr, sogar die Dämonen sind uns in deinem Namen untertan."
And the seventy whom he sent forth, returned with great joy, and say to him: Our Lord, even the demons were subject to us, in thy name.
18 Er sprach zu ihnen: "Ich sah den Satan wie einen Blitz vom Himmel stürzen.
And he said to them: I saw Satan fall, like the lightning from heaven.
19 Seht, ich habe euch Macht gegeben, über Schlangen und Skorpionen wegzuschreiten und über alle feindlichen Gewalten; nichts soll euch schaden können.
Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents, and scorpions, and on all the power of the adversary: and nothing shall harm you.
20 Doch nicht darüber freuet euch, daß euch die Geister unterworfen sind, freut euch vielmehr, daß eure Namen in den Himmeln aufgeschrieben sind."
Yet rejoice not in this, that the demons are subject to you; but rejoice, that your names are written in heaven.
21 In jener Stunde frohlockte er im Heiligen Geist und sprach: "Ich preise dich, Vater, Herr des Himmels und der Erde, daß du all dies den Weisen und Klugen verhüllt hast, Einfältigen jedoch geoffenbart. Ja, Vater, also fügt es deine Güte.
In that hour Jesus exulted in the Holy Spirit, and said: I thank thee, my Father, thou Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and intelligent, and hast revealed them to babes: yes, my Father, for such was thy good pleasure.
22 Mir ist von meinem Vater alles übergeben, und niemand versteht es, wer der Sohn ist, als nur der Vater, und niemand, wer der Vater ist, als allein der Sohn und wem der Sohn es offenbaren will."
And he turned himself to his disciples, and said to them: Every thing is committed to me by my Father: and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; or who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son is pleased to reveal him.
23 Dann wandte er sich seinen Jüngern noch besonders zu und sprach: "Selig sind die Augen, die sehen, was ihr seht.
And he turned to his disciples, privately, and said: Blessed are the eyes that see, what ye see.
24 Ich sage euch: Viele Propheten und Könige wollten sehen, was ihr seht, sie sahen es aber nicht, und hören, was ihr hört, sie hörten es aber nicht."
For I say to you, that many prophets and kings desired to see what ye see, and did not see it; and to hear what ye hear, and did not hear it.
25 Siehe, da erhob sich ein Gesetzeslehrer, um ihn zu versuchen. Er fragte:"Meister, was habe ich zu tun, um das ewige Leben zu erlangen?" (aiōnios g166)
And behold, a Scribe stood up to try him, and said: Teacher, what must I do, to inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
26 Er sprach zu ihm: "Was steht im Gesetz geschrieben? Was liesest du?"
And Jesus said to him: How is it written in the law? How readest thou?
27 Und jener gab zur Antwort: "Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, lieben aus deinem ganzen Herzen, aus deiner ganzen Seele, mit deiner ganzen Kraft und allen deinen Gedanken, und deinen Nächsten wie dich selbst."
He answered and said to him: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor, as thyself
28 Er sprach zu ihm: "Du hast recht geantwortet; tu das, so wirst du leben."
Jesus said to him: Thou hast said correctly; do thus, and thou wilt live.
29 Doch jener wollte sich rechtfertigen und fragte Jesus:
And he, being disposed to justify himself, said: And who is my neighbor?
30 "Wer ist mein Nächster?" Und Jesus nahm das Wort und sprach: "Ein Mensch ging von Jerusalem nach Jericho hinab und fiel Räubern in die Hände. Diese plünderten ihn aus, sie gaben ihm dazu noch Schläge, ließen ihn dann halbtot liegen und verschwanden.
Jesus said to him: A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and robbers fell upon him, and plundered him, and smote him, and left him with little life in him, and went their way.
31 Zufällig zog ein Priester jenen Weg hinab; er sah ihn und ging vorüber.
And a certain priest went down by that way; and he saw him, and passed on.
32 Desgleichen kam auch ein Levit an die Stelle; er sah ihn und ging vorüber.
So also a Levite came, approached the spot, and saw him, and passed on.
33 Da kam ein Samariter des Wegs gerade zu ihm hin, er sah ihn und ward von Mitleid tief gerührt.
But a Samaritan, as he travelled, came where he was, and saw him, and took pity on him,
34 Er trat hinzu, goß Öl und Wein auf seine Wunden und verband sie. Dann setzte er ihn auf sein Reittier und brachte ihn in eine Herberge und sorgte noch für ihn.
and went to him, and bound up his wounds, and poured wine and oil on them, and placed him upon his ass, and brought him to the inn, and took care of him.
35 Des anderen Tags zog er zwei Denare aus dem Beutel, gab sie dem Wirt und sprach: 'Sorge für ihn! Was du darüber noch aufwendest, will ich dir nach meiner Rückkehr bezahlen.'
And on the morning of the next day, he took out two denarii and gave to the host, and said: Take good care of him; and if thou expendest any more, when I return, I will repay thee.
36 Wer von diesen dreien hat sich wohl als Nächster dessen gezeigt, der unter die Räuber gefallen war?"
Which therefore of these three, appears to thee, to have been neighbor to him that fell into the hands of marauders?
37 Er sprach: "Der ihm Barmherzigkeit erwiesen hat." Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: "Geh hin und tu desgleichen."
And he said: He that had pity on him. Jesus said to him: Go, and do thou also the like.
38 Einmal kehrte er auf ihrer Wanderung in einem Flecken ein.
And it occurred, as they travelled by the way, that he entered a certain village, and a woman whose name was Martha, received him at her house.
39 Und eine Frau mit Namen Martha nahm ihn in ihr Haus auf. Sie hatte eine Schwester, die Maria hieß. Und diese setzte sich zu den Füßen des Herrn nieder und lauschte auf sein Wort.
And she had a sister whose name, was Mary: and she came and seated herself at the feet of our Lord, and listened to his discourses.
40 Indessen machte sich Martha mit der Bewirtung viel zu schaffen. Sie trat hinzu und sprach: "Herr, kümmert es dich nicht, daß meine Schwester mich allein bedienen läßt? Sage ihr, daß sie mir helfen soll."
But Martha was occupied with much service; and she came, and said to him: My Lord, hast thou no concern, that my sister hath left me to serve alone? Bid her assist me.
41 Doch der Herr sprach zu ihr: "Martha, Martha, du machst dir Unruhe und Sorge um vielerlei.
Jesus answered, and said to her: Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things:
42 Wenig ist notwendig, oder nur eins. Maria hat den besseren Teil erwählt, der ihr nicht wird genommen werden."
yet but one thing is necessary; and Mary hath chosen for herself the good part, which shall not be taken from her.
