3 Mose 20

1 Und der Herr sprach zu Moses also:

Then the LORD said to Moses,

2 "Sprich zu den Söhnen Israels: Wer aus den Söhnen Israels und aus den Fremdlingen in Israel von seinen Kindern eines dem Moloch gibt, soll den Tod erleiden! Das Volk des Landes soll ihn steinigen!

“Tell the Israelites, ‘Any Israelite or foreigner living in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech must be put to death. The people of the land are to stone him.

3 Ich selber richte mein Antlitz wider diesen Mann und streiche ihn aus seinem Volke, weil er von seinen Kindern eines dem Moloch gibt und so mein Heiligtum unrein macht und meinen heiligen Namen entweiht.

And I will set My face against that man and cut him off from his people, because by giving his offspring to Molech, he has defiled My sanctuary and profaned My holy name.

4 Und wollte vor einem solchen Manne das Volk des Landes seine Augen schließen, wenn er von seinen Kindern eines dem Moloch gibt, und wollten sie ihn nicht töten,

And if the people of the land ever hide their eyes and fail to put to death the man who gives one of his children to Molech,

5 dann richte ich mein Antlitz gegen einen solchen Mann und seine Sippe. Ich streiche ihn aus seinem Volke, ihn samt allen, die ihm in Unzucht mit dem Moloch nachfolgen.

then I will set My face against that man and his family and cut off from among their people both him and all who follow him in prostituting themselves with Molech.

6 Und gegen die Person, die sich an Toten- und an Wahrsagegeister wendet, ihnen nachzuhuren, richte ich mein Angesicht und streiche sie aus ihrem Volke.

Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists to prostitute himself with them, I will also set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.

7 Zeigt euch als heilig, daß ihr heilig werdet! Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott.

Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, because I am the LORD your God.

8 Beachtet und befolget meine Satzungen! Ich bin der, der euch heiligt, ich, der Herr.

And you shall keep My statutes and practice them. I am the LORD who sanctifies you.

9 Wer Vater und Mutter grob beleidigt, soll den Tod erleiden! Weil er Vater und Mutter grob beleidigt, bleibt seine Blutschuld auf ihm.

If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. He has cursed his father or mother; his blood shall be upon him.

10 Buhlt ein Mann mit eines anderen Mannes Weib, buhlt ein Mann mit seines Nächsten Weib, so leide der Ehebrecher und die Ehebrecherin den Tod!

If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must surely be put to death.

11 Liegt jemand bei dem Weibe seines Vaters, hat er des Vaters Blöße enthüllt, so sollen beide den Tod leiden, und ihre Blutschuld bleibt bei ihnen.

If a man lies with his father’s wife, he has uncovered his father’s nakedness. Both must surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

12 Liegt jemand bei der eigenen Schwiegertochter, so sollen beide den Tod leiden. Sie haben eine schwere Schandtat ausgeübt, und ihre Blutschuld bleibt bei ihnen.

If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both must surely be put to death. They have acted perversely; their blood is upon them.

13 Liegt jemand bei einem Manne, wie man bei einem Weibe liegt, so haben beide eine Greueltat getan. Den Tod sollen sie leiden, und ihre Blutschuld bleibt bei ihnen!

If a man lies with a man as with a woman, they have both committed an abomination. They must surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

14 Nimmt jemand ein Weib und ihre Mutter dazu, so ist dies grobe Unzucht. Man soll ihn und sie verbrennen, auf daß nicht Unzucht unter euch im Schwange seil

If a man marries both a woman and her mother, it is depraved. Both he and they must be burned in the fire, so that there will be no depravity among you.

15 Wer sich mit einem Tiere vermischt, soll den Tod leiden! Auch das Tier sollt ihr umbringen!

If a man lies carnally with an animal, he must be put to death. And you are also to kill the animal.

16 Naht sich ein Weib einem Tiere, sich mit ihm zu paaren, so töte Weib und Tier! Den Tod sollen sie leiden, und ihre Blutschuld bleibt bei ihnen!

If a woman approaches any animal to mate with it, you must kill both the woman and the animal. They must surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

17 Nimmt jemand seines Vaters Tochter oder seiner Mutter Tochter, seine Schwester, und schaut er ihre Blöße und sie schaut seine Blöße, so ist dies Verruchtheit. Sie sollen angesichts ihres Volkes ausgestrichen werden, hat er doch die Blöße seiner Schwester enthüllt; er lädt Schuld auf sich.

If a man marries his sister, whether the daughter of his father or of his mother, and they have sexual relations, it is a disgrace. They must be cut off in the sight of their people. He has uncovered the nakedness of his sister; he shall bear his iniquity.

18 Liegt jemand bei einem Weibe in ihrem Unwohlsein und enthüllt er ihre Blöße und deckt er ihren Quell auf und enthüllt sie den Quell ihrer Blutungen, so sollen beide aus ihrem Volke gestrichen werden!

If a man lies with a menstruating woman and has sexual relations with her, he has exposed the source of her flow, and she has uncovered the source of her blood. Both of them must be cut off from among their people.

19 Enthülle nicht die Blöße deiner Mutterschwester noch der Vaterschwester! Wer seine eigenen Verwandten entblößt, ihre Schuld sollen sie büßen.

You must not have sexual relations with the sister of your mother or your father, for it is exposing one’s own kin; both shall bear their iniquity.

20 Liegt jemand bei der Tante, so hat er seines Oheims Blöße enthüllt. Sie laden ihre Schuld auf sich. Kinderlos werden sie sterben.

If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered the nakedness of his uncle. They will bear their sin; they shall die childless.

21 Nimmt jemand seines Bruders Weib, so ist es Blutschande. Er hat seines Bruders Blöße enthüllt. Kinderlos werden sie bleiben.

If a man marries his brother’s wife, it is an act of impurity. He has uncovered the nakedness of his brother; they shall be childless.

22 Haltet alle meine Vorschriften und Satzungen! Tut sie, daß euch das Land nicht ausspeie, in das ich euch bringe, darin zu siedeln!

You are therefore to keep all My statutes and ordinances, so that the land where I am bringing you to live will not vomit you out.

23 Ihr sollt nicht nach den Satzungen der Heiden wandeln, die ich vor euch vertreibe! Denn all das haben sie getan, daß es mich vor ihnen ekelte.

You must not follow the statutes of the nations I am driving out before you. Because they did all these things, I abhorred them.

24 Ich sprach zu euch: Ihr sollt ihr Land zu eigen haben. Ich gebe es euch zum Besitz, ein Land, von Milch und Honig fließend. Ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott, der euch von den anderen Völkern gesondert hat.

But I have told you that you will inherit their land, since I will give it to you as an inheritance—a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the LORD your God, who has set you apart from the peoples.

25 So scheidet zwischen reinem und unreinem Vieh, reinem und unreinem Geflügel! Ihr sollt euch selbst nicht abscheulich machen durch das Vieh, das Geflügel oder durch das, was auf dem Boden kriecht und was ich für euch als unrein ausgesondert habe!

You are therefore to distinguish between clean and unclean animals and birds. Do not become contaminated by any animal or bird, or by anything that crawls on the ground; I have set these apart as unclean for you.

26 Seid mir heilig! Denn ich, der Herr, bin heilig. Ich sondere euch von den Völkern, daß ihr mein seiet.

You are to be holy to Me because I, the LORD, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be My own.

27 Ist in einem Mann oder Weib ein Toten- oder Wahrsagegeist, so sollen sie den Tod leiden! Man soll sie steinigen! Ihre Blutschuld bleibt bei ihnen.'"

A man or a woman who is a medium or spiritist must surely be put to death. They shall be stoned; their blood is upon them.’”
