3 Mose 19
1 Und der Herr redete mit Moses also:
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
2 "Rede mit der ganzen Gemeinschaft der Söhne Israels und sprich zu ihr: 'Seid heilig! Denn heilig bin ich, der Herr, euer Gott.
Speak unto all the assembly of the sons of Israel and thou shalt say unto them—Holy, shall ye be, —For holy, am I—Yahweh—your God
3 Ihr sollt jeder seine Mutter und seinen Vater fürchten und meine Ruhetage beobachten. Ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott!
Ye shall, every one, revere, his father and his mother, And my sabbaths, shall ye observe, —I—Yahweh, am your God.
4 Wendet euch nicht den Götzen zu! Ihr sollt euch keine gegossenen Götter machen! Ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott.
Do not turn unto things of nought, And, molten gods, shall ye not make to yourselves, —I—Yahweh, am your God.
5 Und schlachtet ihr dem Herrn ein Dankopfer, so sollt ihr es zu eurer Begnadigung opfern!
And when ye would offer a peace-offering unto Yahweh, ye shall offer it that ye may be accepted.
6 Am Tage, da ihr es darbringt, und am Tage darauf muß es gegessen werden. Was bis zum dritten Tage übrigbleibt, soll verbrannt werden!
On the day, ye offer it, shall it be eaten, and on the morrow, —but, that which remaineth until the third day, in fire, shall be consumed.
7 Würde es am dritten Tage gegessen, so wäre es Verdorbenes, das nicht zu Gnaden geachtet wird.
And, if it, be eaten, on the third day, unclean, it is it shall not be accepted,
8 Wer es genießt, lädt Schuld auf sich. Denn er entheiligt das dem Herrn Geweihte. Aus seinem Volke werde diese Seele gestrichen!
But he that eateth it, his iniquity, shall bear, because that which had been hallowed unto Yahweh, hath he profaned, —so then that person shall be cut off from among his kinsfolk.
9 Wenn ihr euer Land aberntet, dann darfst du dein Feld nicht bis zum letzten Rande abernten. Du sollst nicht nach deiner Ernte Nachlese halten!
And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly clear the border of thy field, in reaping, —nor shalt thou gather up the gleaning of thy harvest.
10 Auch deinen Weinberg sollst du nicht nachlesen! Du sollst in deinem Weinberge nicht die zerstreuten Beeren auflesen! Du sollst sie dem Armen und dem Fremdling überlassen! Ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott.
And, thy vineyard, shalt thou not go over again, nor gather, every single grape: for the poor and for the sojourner, shalt thou leave them, I—Yahweh, am your God.
11 Ihr sollt nicht stehlen! Ihr sollt nicht hehlen! Ihr sollt einander nicht betrügen.
Ye shall not steal, —nor deceive nor lie one man to another;
12 Ihr sollt nicht bei meinem Namen falsch schwören, daß du den Namen deines Gottes entweihest! Ich bin der Herr.
Nor swear by my name falsely, —And so profane the name of thy God: I, am Yahweh.
13 Du sollst nicht deinen Nächsten drücken! Du sollst nicht rauben! Nicht soll bei dir des Lohnarbeiters Lohn bis zum Morgen nächtigen!
Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbour nor rob [him], —The wages of him that is hired shall not tarry with thee, until the morning.
14 Du sollst nicht einem Tauben fluchen! Du sollst nicht vor den Blinden einen Anstoß legen! Fürchte dich vor deinem Gott! Ich bin der Herr.
Thou shalt not curse the deaf, Nor, before the blind, place a stumbling-block, —So shalt thou stand in awe of thy God I, am Yahweh.
15 Ihr sollt keine Verdrehung beim Rechtsprechen machen! Du sollst nicht den Niederen abweisen! Du sollst nicht auf einen Großen Rücksicht nehmen! Du sollst deinen Nächsten recht richten!
Ye shall not act perversely in giving judgment, Thou shalt neither respect the person of the poor, Nor prefer the person of the great, —In righteousness, shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
16 Du sollst nicht als Ohrenbläser beim Volk umhergehen! Du sollst nicht dem Blute deines Nächsten nachstellen! Ich bin der Herr.
Thou shalt not go about talebearing, among thy people Thou shalt not stand by, over the blood of thy neighbour: I, am Yahweh.
17 Du sollst nicht deinen Bruder in deinem Herzen hassen! Mit Freimut sollst du den Angehörigen deines Volkes zurechtweisen und nicht seinetwegen Schuld auf dich laden!
Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart, —Thou shalt, faithfully reprove, thy neighbour, and not countenance him in sin:
18 Du sollst nicht rachgierig sein und nicht deines Volkes Söhnen grollen! Liebe deinen Nächsten wie einen deinesgleichen! Ich bin der Herr.
Thou shalt not take vengeance neither shalt thou cherish anger against the sons of thy people, So shalt thou love thy neighbour as thyself, —I, am Yahweh.
19 Ihr sollt meine Satzungen beobachten! Du sollst nicht zweiartig dein Vieh paaren! Du sollst nicht zweiartig dein Feld besäen! Nicht soll an dich ein Kleid, zweiartig gewebt, kommen!
My statutes, shall ye observe, Thy beasts, shalt thou not cause to breed in two kinds, Thy field, shalt thou not sow with two sorts of seed, —And a garment woven of diverse threads, shalt thou not suffer to come upon thee.
20 Wohnt ein Mann einem Weibe bei und sie ist als Sklavin mit einem anderen Manne verbunden, ist aber noch nicht losgekauft oder noch nicht freigelassen, so soll man eine Unterscheidung machen! Sie soll nicht den Tod erleiden, weil sie keine Freigelassene war.
And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, she being a bondmaid, acquired for a husband, and neither, redeemed, nor, freedom, given her, inquisition, shall be made they shall not be put to death, because she was not free;
21 Er aber bringe dem Herrn als Buße an des Festgezeltes Pforte zum Schuldopfer einen Widder!
but he shall bring in his guilt-bearer unto Yahweh, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, —even a ram as a guilt-bearer;
22 Der Priester schaffe ihm vor dem Herrn durch den Schuldopferwidder Sühne wegen seiner Sünde, die er getan, und suche ihm Verzeihung zu erwirken von seiner Sünde, die er tat!
and the priest shall put a propitiatory-covering over him with the guilt-bearing ram before Yahweh, on account of his sin which he hath committed, —so shall he have forgiveness, from his sin which he hath committed.
23 Kommt ihr in das Land, dann pflanzt allerlei Fruchtbäume, aber scheuet das, was daran zu scheuen ist, ihre Frucht! Drei Jahre sollt ihr sie scheuen! Sie darf nicht gegessen werden!
And when ye come into the land, and plant any manner of fruit-tree, then shall ye count as uncircumcised the fruit thereof, three years, shall it be to you as if unclean, it shall not be eaten.
24 Im vierten Jahre sei all ihre Frucht heilig, dem Herrn geweiht!
But, in the fourth year, all the fruit thereof shall be hallowed for a festival of thanksgiving unto Yahweh.
25 Im fünften Jahr dürft ihr ihre Früchte genießen, daß ihre Ernte euer Gut mehre. Ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott.
And in the fifth year, shall ye eat the fruit thereof, that it may enrich you with its increase, —I—Yahweh, am your God.
26 Ihr sollt nichts mit Blut essen! Ihr sollt nicht wahrsagen! Ihr sollt nicht zaubern!
Ye shall eat nothing with the blood thereof, —Ye shall not practise divination neither shall ye use magic.
27 Ihr sollt nicht eures Haupthaares Ecken runden! Du sollst nicht deines Bartes Ecken verderben!
Ye shall not shave in a circle around your head, —nor shalt thou disfigure the fringe of thy beard.
28 Ihr sollt euch nicht wegen einer Leiche an eurem Leibe ritzen. Ihr sollt keine Schriftzeichen euch einätzen! Ich bin der Herr.
Cuttings for a dead person, shall ye not make in your flesh. And punctures in your persons, shall ye not print, —I, am Yahweh.
29 Entweihe deine Tochter nicht, daß du sie zur Unzucht führst, auf daß nicht das Land unzüchtig werde und sich das Land mit grober Unzucht fülle!
Do not profane thy daughter by causing her to be unchaste, —lest the land fall to unchastity, and so the land be filled with wickedness.
30 Ihr sollt meine Ruhetage halten! Ihr sollt vor meinem Heiligtum Ehrfurcht haben! Ich bin der Herr.
My sabbaths, shall ye observe, And my sanctuary, shall ye revere, —I, am Yahweh.
31 Wendet euch nicht an die Totengeister! Befragt nicht die Wahrsagegeister, daß ihr dadurch unrein würdet! Ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott.
Do not turn unto mediums, Nor, for oracles, make search, To render yourselves unclean with them, I—Yahweh, am your God.
32 Vor einem grauen Haupte sollst du aufstehen! Ehre die Person des Greises! Fürchte dich vor deinem Gott! Ich bin der Herr.
Before a hoary head, shalt thou rise up, And shalt honour the presence of an elder, —So shalt thou stand in awe of thy God—I, am Yahweh.
33 Weilt in eurem Lande bei euch ein Fremder, dann dürft ihr ihn nicht drücken.
And, when there sojourneth with thee a sojourner in your land, ye shall not oppress him:
34 Der Fremdling soll euch sein wie ein Eingeborener aus euch! Liebe ihn wie deinesgleichen! Ihr seid Fremdlinge im Lande Ägypten gewesen. Ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott.
As one home born from among yourselves, shall be unto you the sojourner who sojourneth with you, So shalt thou love him as thyself, For, sojourners, became ye, in the land of Egypt, —I—Yahweh, am your God.
35 Ihr sollt keine Verdrehung beim Rechtsprechen, beim Längenmaß, Gewicht und Gefäß machen!
Ye shall not act perversely in giving judgment, —in measures of extent, in weights in measures of capacity:
36 Richtige Waage, richtige Gewichtsteine, richtiger Scheffel und richtige Kanne sollen bei euch sein! Ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott, der euch aus Ägypterland geführt hat.
Just balances, just weights, a just ephah and a just hin, shall ye have, —I—Yahweh, am your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt.
37 So beachtet alle Vorschriften und Satzungen und erfüllet sie, bin ich doch der Herr!'"
Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes and all my regulations and do them, —I, am Yahweh.
