3 Mose 18
1 Und der Herr sprach zu Moses also:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 "Rede mit den Söhnen Israels und sprich zu ihnen: 'Ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott!
Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: I am the Lord your God.
3 Ihr sollt nicht nach dem Treiben des Ägypterlandes tun, in dem ihr gesessen, und nicht nach dem Treiben des Landes Kanaan, in das ich euch bringe! Ihr sollt nicht nach ihren Satzungen wandeln.
You shall not do according to the custom of the land of Egypt, in which you dwelt: neither shall you act according to the manner of the country of Chanaan, into which I will bring you, nor shall you walk in their ordinances.
4 Meine Satzungen sollt ihr befolgen und meine Vorschriften halten, danach zu wandeln! Ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott.
You shall do my judgments, and shall observe my precepts, and shall walk in them. I am the Lord your God.
5 Wahret meine Vorschriften und Satzungen! Wer sie tut, wird durch sie leben. Ich bin der Herr.
Keep my laws and my judgments, which if a man do, he shall live in them. I am the Lord.
6 Niemand soll sich seinen nächsten Blutsverwandten nahen, die Blöße zu enthüllen!
No man shall approach to her that is near of kin to him, to uncover her nakedness. I am the Lord.
7 Die Blöße deines Vaters und deiner Mutter darfst du nicht enthüllen. Deine Mutter ist es. Du darfst nicht ihre Blöße enthüllen.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother: she is thy mother, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
8 Die Blöße deines Vaterweibes darfst du nicht enthüllen. Deines Vaters Blöße ist es.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s wife: for it is the nakedness of thy father.
9 Die Blöße deiner Schwester, deines Vaters Tochter oder deiner Mutter Tochter, daheim geboren oder auswärts, darfst du nicht enthüllen.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy sister by father or by mother, whether born at home or abroad.
10 Die Blöße deiner Sohnestochter oder deiner Tochtertochter darfst du nicht enthüllen. Sie sind deine Blöße.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or thy daughter’s daughter: because it is thy own nakedness.
11 Die Blöße der Tochter eines Weibes deines Vaters, als deinem Vater geboren, darfst du nicht enthüllen. Sie ist deine Schwester.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, whom she bore to thy father, and who is thy sister.
12 Die Blöße der Schwester deines Vaters darfst du nicht enthüllen. Sie ist deines Vaters Leib.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: because she is the flesh of thy father.
13 Die Blöße der Schwester deiner Mutter darfst du nicht enthüllen. Sie ist deiner Mutter Leib.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: because she is thy mother’s flesh.
14 Die Blöße deines Vaterbruders darfst du nicht enthüllen, noch nahe dich seinem Weib! Sie ist deine Tante.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother: neither shalt thou approach to his wife, who is joined to thee by affinity.
15 Die Blöße deiner Schwiegertochter darfst du nicht enthüllen. Sie ist deines Sohnes Weib.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: because she is thy son’s wife, neither shalt thou discover her shame.
16 Die Blöße deines Brudersweibes darfst du nicht enthüllen. Sie ist deines Bruders Blöße.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: because it is the nakedness of thy brother.
17 Die Blöße eines Weibes und seiner Tochter darfst du nicht enthüllen. Die Tochter ihres Sohnes und die Tochter ihrer Tochter darfst du nicht nehmen, ihre Blöße zu enthüllen. Sie sind nächste Blutsverwandte. Unzucht ist es.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy wife and her daughter. Thou shalt not take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, to discover her shame: because they are her flesh, and such copulation is incest.
18 Du darfst nicht ein Weib zu seiner Schwester hinzunehmen als Nebenweib, um neben ihm zu seinen Lebzeiten ihre Blöße zu enthüllen.
Thou shalt not take thy wife’s sister for a harlot, to rival her, neither shalt thou discover her nakedness, while she is yet living.
19 Du darfst dich nicht einem Weib zur Zeit der Unreinheit nahen, ihre Scham zu enthüllen.
Thou shalt not approach to a woman having her flowers, neither shalt thou uncover her nakedness.
20 Mit dem Weibe eines anderen aus deinem Volke darfst du keinen Beischlaf haben, auf daß du dich dadurch nicht unrein machst.
Thou shalt not lie with thy neighbour’s wife, nor be defiled with mingling of seed.
21 Von deinen Nachkommen darfst du keinen hergeben zur Weihe an den Moloch. Du darfst nicht Gottes Namen entweihen. Ich bin der Herr.
Thou shalt not give any of thy seed to be consecrated to the idol Moloch, nor defile the name of thy God: I am the Lord.
22 Einem Manne darfst du nicht beiliegen wie einem Weibe. Ein Greuel ist es.
Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind, because it is an abomination.
23 Du darfst dich nicht fleischlich mit einem Tiere vermischen, dich dadurch unrein zu machen. Nicht darf sich ein Weib vor ein Tier hinstellen, sich zu paaren. Schwere Schandtat ist es.
Thou shalt not copulate with any beast, neither shalt thou be defiled with it. A woman shall not lie down to a beast, nor copulate with it: because it is a heinous crime.
24 Versündigt euch nicht durch derartiges! Denn durch all das haben sich die Heiden versündigt, die ich vor euch vertreibe.
Defile not yourselves with any of these things with which all the nations have been defiled, which I will cast out before you,
25 Das Land ward unrein, und ich suchte seine Missetaten an ihm heim. Und das Land spie seine Einwohner darum aus.
And with which the land is defiled: the abominations of which I will visit, that it may vomit out its inhabitants.
26 So haltet meine Vorschriften und Satzungen! Ihr dürft nichts von all diesen Greueln tun, weder Eingeborene noch Fremde, die bei euch weilen.
Keep ye my ordinances and my judgments, and do not any of these abominations: neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you.
27 Denn alle diese Greuel haben im Lande die Leute getan, die vor euch waren, und das Land ward dadurch unrein.
For all these detestable things the inhabitants of the land have done, that; were before you, and have defiled it.
28 Daß nicht das Land euch ausspeie, wenn ihr es verunreinigt, wie es das Volk ausgespieen hat, das vor euch war!
Beware then, lest in like manner, it vomit you also out, if you do the like things, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
29 Wer einen dieser Greuel tut, ausgestrichen müssen aus dem Volke Leute werden, die solches tun.
Every soul that shall commit any of these abominations, shall perish from the midst of his people.
30 So folgt meiner Anordnung, daß ihr keine dieser Greuelsitten, die vor euch getan worden sind, übet und euch dadurch unrein machet! Ich, der Herr, bin ja euer Gott.'"
Keep my commandments. Do not the things which they have done, that have been before you, and be not defiled therein. I am the Lord your God.
