3 Mose 12
1 Der Herr sprach zu Moses also:
Then the LORD said to Moses,
2 "Sprich zu den Söhnen Israels: 'Schenkt ein Weib einem Knaben im Wochenbett das Leben, so ist sie sieben Tage unrein, so wie sie in den Tagen ihrer monatlichen Unreinheit unrein ist.
“Say to the Israelites, ‘A woman who becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son will be unclean for seven days, as she is during the days of her menstruation.
3 Am achten Tage werde seines Gliedes Fleisch beschnitten!
And on the eighth day the flesh of the boy’s foreskin is to be circumcised.
4 Dreiunddreißig Tage soll sie im Reinigungsblute bleiben! Sie darf nichts Heiliges berühren und darf nicht in das Heiligtum kommen, bis daß die Tage ihrer Reinigung vorüber sind!
The woman shall continue in purification from her bleeding for thirty-three days. She must not touch anything sacred or go into the sanctuary until the days of her purification are complete.
5 Schenkt sie aber einem Mädchen das Leben, so sei sie zwei Wochen unrein wie bei ihrer monatlichen Unreinheit, und sechsundsechzig Tage soll sie im Reinigungsblute bleiben!
If, however, she gives birth to a daughter, the woman will be unclean for two weeks as she is during her menstruation. Then she must continue in purification from her bleeding for sixty-six days.
6 Sind die Tage ihrer Reinigung vorüber bei einem Sohn oder einer Tochter, so soll sie ein noch nicht einjähriges Lamm zum Brandopfer bringen und eine junge Taube oder eine Turteltaube zum Sündopfer an des Festgezeltes Pforte zu dem Priester!
When the days of her purification are complete, whether for a son or for a daughter, she is to bring to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting a year-old lamb for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or a turtledove for a sin offering.
7 Er bringe sie vor dem Herrn dar und schaffe ihr Sühne! So werde sie rein von ihrem Blutflusse! Dies ist die Lehre über Kindbetterinnen, sei es bei Knaben oder Mädchen.
And the priest will present them before the LORD and make atonement for her; and she shall be ceremonially cleansed from her flow of blood. This is the law for a woman giving birth, whether to a male or to a female.
8 Reicht aber ihr Vermögen nicht für ein Schaf hin, so nehme sie zwei Turteltauben oder sonst zwei junge Tauben, die eine für das Brandopfer, die andere für das Sündopfer, und so verschaffe ihr der Priester Sühne, daß sie rein werde!'
But if she cannot afford a lamb, she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. Then the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean.’”
