Josua 16
1 Das Los der Söhne Josephs ging vom Jordan bei Jericho an Jerichos Gewässern im Osten, gegen die Steppe zu, die von Jericho zum Gebirge Betels hinaufzieht.
And the lot for the children of Joseph went out from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, going up from Jericho through the hill-country to the wilderness, even to Beth-el.
2 Dann lief die Grenze von Betel, dem alten Luz, nach dem Arkitergebiete nach Atarot hinüber,
And it went out from Beth-el-luz, and passed along unto the border of the Archites to Ataroth.
3 senkte sich westlich nach dem Japhletitergebiet bis zum Gebiet des unteren Bet Choron und bis Gezer. Sie endigte am Meer.
And it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, unto the border of Beth-horon the nether, even unto Gezer; and the goings out thereof were at the sea.
4 Auch Josephs Söhne, Manasse und Ephraim, erhielten Erbbesitz.
And the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.
5 Das Gebiet der Ephraimiten nach ihren Sippen war folgendes: Im Osten war ihres Erbbesitzes Grenze Aterot Adar bis zum oberen Bet Choron.
And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus; even the border of their inheritance eastward was Atroth-addar, unto Beth-horon the upper.
6 Dann lief die Grenze bis zum Meer, im Norden nach Mikmetat. Dann wandte sich die Grenze östlich nach Taanat Silo und zog östlich von Janoach vorüber.
And the border went out westward, Mich-methath being on the north; and the border turned about eastward unto Taanath-shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah.
7 Von Janoach lief sie nach Atarot und Naarat hinab, stieß an Jericho und endete am Jordan.
And it went down from Janoah to Ataroth, and to Naarah, and reached unto Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.
8 Von Tappuach lief die Grenze westwärts bis zum Kanabach und endete am Meer. Das ist der Erbbesitz des Ephraimitenstammes nach seinen Sippen.
From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;
9 Dazu die ephraimitischen Städte, die abgesondert inmitten des Erbbesitzes der Manassiten lagen, sämtliche Städte mit ihren Dörfern.
together with the cities which were separated for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.
10 Sie hatten aber die Kanaaniter zu Gezer nicht vertrieben. So blieben die Kanaaniter inmitten Ephraims bis auf diesen Tag und wurden zu dienstbaren Sklaven.
And they drove not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwelt in the midst of Ephraim, unto this day, and became servants to do taskwork.
