Johannes 6
1 Hierauf fuhr Jesus an das andere Ufer des Galiläischen Meeres, das auch See von Tiberias genannt wird.
After these things, Yeshua [Salvation] went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee [District, Circuit], which is also called the Sea of Tiberias.
2 Eine große Menge folgte ihm, weil sie die Zeichen sahen, die er an den Kranken wirkte.
A great multitude followed him, because they saw his signs which he did on those who were sick.
3 Und Jesus stieg auf den Berg, wo er sich mit seinen Jüngern niedersetzte.
Yeshua [Salvation] went up into the mountain, and he sat there with his disciples.
4 Das Hauptfest der Juden, Ostern, war nahe.
Now the Judean [Person from Praise] festival of Pesac ·Passover· was at hand.
5 Als Jesus die Augen erhob und sah, wie eine große Menge auf ihn zukam, da sprach er zu Philippus: "Wo werden wir wohl Brote kaufen, daß diese essen können?"
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude was coming to him, said to Philip [Loves horses], “Where are we to buy matzah ·unleavened bread·, that these may eat?”
6 Er sagte dies aber nur, um ihn auf die Probe zu stellen; er wußte ja ganz gut, was er tun wollte.
This he said to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.
7 Philippus antwortete ihm: "Brot für zweihundert Denare reicht für diese nicht aus, wenn jeder auch nur ein wenig erhalten soll."
Philip [Loves horses] answered him, “Two hundred denarii (200 days wages) worth of matzah ·unleavened bread· is not sufficient for them, that everyone of them may receive a little.”
8 Andreas, einer seiner Jünger, der Bruder des Simon Petrus, sprach zu ihm:
One of his disciples, Andrew [Manly], Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock]’s brother, said to him,
9 "Es ist ein Knabe hier, der fünf Gerstenbrote und zwei Fische hat; allein, was ist das für so viele?"
“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these among so many?”
10 Darauf sprach Jesus: "Lasset die Leute sich setzen." Viel Gras war nämlich an dem Ort. Es lagerten sich die Männer, etwa fünftausend an der Zahl.
Yeshua [Salvation] said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in that place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
11 Und Jesus nahm die Brote, sprach ein Dankgebet und ließ sie an die Leute, die sich gesetzt hatten, verteilen; ebenso die Fische, soviel sie eben wollten.
Yeshua [Salvation] took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were sitting down; likewise also of the fish as much as they desired.
12 Als sie nun satt geworden waren, sprach er zu seinen Jüngern: "Sammelt die Brocken, die übriggeblieben sind, damit nichts zugrunde gehe"
When they were filled, he said to his disciples, “Gather up the broken pieces which are left over, that nothing be lost.”
13 Sie lasen auf und füllten zwölf Körbe voll mit Brocken der fünf Gerstenbrote; soviel war vom Essen übriggeblieben.
So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which were left over by those who had eaten.
14 Als die Leute sahen, welches Zeichen Jesus gewirkt hatte, riefen sie: "Da ist wahrhaftig der Prophet, der in die Welt kommen soll."
When therefore the people saw the sign which Yeshua [Salvation] did, they said, “This is truly the prophet (promised Messiah) who comes into the world.”
15 Doch Jesus merkte, daß sie kommen würden und ihn mit Gewalt fortführen wollten, um ihn zum König zu machen. Er zog sich deshalb ganz allein wieder auf den Berg zurück.
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore, perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him king, withdrew again to the mountain by himself.
16 Als es Abend ward, begaben sich seine Jünger ans Meer hinab.
When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea,
17 Dort bestiegen sie ein Boot und fuhren übers Meer auf Kapharnaum zu. Es war schon dunkel, und Jesus war noch nicht zu ihnen gekommen.
and they entered into the boat, and were going over the sea to Capernaum [Village-Comfort, Village-Compassion]. It was now dark, and Yeshua [Salvation] had not come to them.
18 Das Meer war durch einen heftigen Sturm aufgewühlt.
The sea was tossed by a great wind blowing.
19 Sie waren etwa fünfundzwanzig oder dreißig Stadien Welt gerudert; da sahen sie Jesus auf dem Meere wandeln und immer näher auf das Boot zukommen. Und sie erschraken.
When therefore they had rowed between twenty-five stadia [3.3 mi; 4.6 km] to thirty stadia [4 mi; 5.6 km] distance, they saw Yeshua [Salvation] walking on the sea, and drawing near to the boat; and they were afraid.
20 Er aber redete sie an: "Ich bin es, habt keine Furcht."
But he said to them, “Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)], don’t be afraid.”
21 Sie wollten ihn nun ins Boot nehmen, doch sogleich war das Boot am Land, auf das sie zuhielten.
They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat. Immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.
22 Des anderen 'Tages bemerkte die Menge, die am anderen Meeresufer zurückgeblieben war, daß nur ein einziges Fahrzeug dagewesen, daß Jesus mit seinen Jüngern nicht ins Boot gestiegen sei, daß vielmehr seine Jünger allein abgefahren seien.
On the next day, the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except the one in which his disciples had embarked, and that Yeshua [Salvation] hadn’t entered with his disciples into the boat, but his disciples had gone away alone.
23 Indessen kamen andere Schiffe von Tiberias nahe an den Platz, wo sie nach dem Dankgebet des Herrn das Brot gegessen hatten.
However boats from Tiberias came near to the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks.
24 Als die Menge sah, daß weder Jesus noch seine Jünger dort geblieben seien, bestiegen auch sie die Boote und fuhren nach Kapharnaum und suchten Jesus.
When the multitude therefore saw that Yeshua [Salvation] was not there, nor his disciples, they themselves got into the boats, and came to Capernaum [Village-Comfort, Village-Compassion], seeking Yeshua [Salvation].
25 Sie fanden ihn am anderen Ufer und fragten ihn: "Rabbi, wann bist du hierher gekommen?"
When they found him on the other side of the sea, they asked him, “Rabbi ·Teacher·, when did you come here?”
26 Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Wahrlich, wahrlich ich sage euch: Ihr sucht mich nicht, weil ihr Zeichen gesehen habt, sondern weil ihr von den Broten gegessen habt und satt geworden seid.
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, you seek me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled.
27 Bemüht euch nicht um die vergängliche Speise, vielmehr um die Speise, die zum ewigen Leben vorhält, die der Menschensohn euch geben wird; ihn hat Gott, der Vater ja besiegelt." (aiōnios g166)
Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Abba Father has sealed him.” (aiōnios g166)
28 Da sagten sie zu ihm: "Was müssen wir denn tun, um die Werke Gottes zu verrichten?"
They said therefore to him, “What must we do, that we may work the works of God?”
29 Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Das ist das Werk Gottes, daß ihr an den glaubt, den er gesandt hat."
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “This is the work of God, that you trust in him whom he has sent.”
30 Sie fragten ihn: "Welches Zeichen wirkst du denn, daß wir es sehen und an dich glauben? Welches Werk vollbringst du?
They said therefore to him, “What then do you do for a sign, that we may see, and trust you? What work do you do?
31 Unsere Väter haben das Manna in der Wüste gegessen, so wie geschrieben steht: 'Brot vom Himmel gab er ihnen zur Speise.'"
Our fathers ate the manna ·what is it· in the wilderness. As it is written, ‘He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.’”
32 Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Nicht Moses gab euch das Himmelsbrot, sondern mein Vater gibt euch das wahre Himmelsbrot;
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, it was not Moses [Drawn out] who gave you the manna ·what is it· out of heaven, but 'Avi ·my Father· gives you the true manna ·what is it· out of heaven.
33 der ist das Gottesbrot, der aus dem Himmel kommt und der Welt das Leben schenkt."
For the manna of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world.”
34 Da riefen sie ihm zu: "Herr, gib uns immerdar dieses Brot!"
They said therefore to him, “Lord, always give us this manna.”
35 Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Ich bin das Brot des Lebens. Wer zu mir kommt, den wird es nicht mehr hungern; wer an mich glaubt, den wird es nie mehr dürsten.
Yeshua [Salvation] said to them, “Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)], the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who trusts in me will never be thirsty.
36 Indes, ich habe es euch ja schon gesagt: Ihr habt mich zwar gesehen, doch ihr glaubt nicht.
But I told you that you have seen me, and yet you don’t trust.
37 Alles, was mir der Vater gibt, das kommt zu mir, und wer zu mir kommt, den stoße ich nicht zurück.
All those whom Abba ·Father· gives me will come to me. He who comes to me I will in no way throw out.
38 Ich bin vom Himmel herabgestiegen, nicht um meinen eigenen Willen zu vollbringen, sondern den Willen dessen, der mich gesandt hat.
For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
39 Das aber ist der Wille dessen, der mich gesandt hat: Ich soll nichts von dem, was er mir gegeben hat, verlorengehen lassen, vielmehr es auferwecken am Jüngsten Tage.
This is the will of 'Avi ·my Father· who sent me, that of all he has given to me I should lose nothing, but should raise him up at the last day.
40 So ist es der Wille meines Vaters, daß jeder, der den Sohn sieht und an ihn glaubt, das ewige Leben habe; ich aber werde ihn auferwecken am Jüngsten Tage." (aiōnios g166)
This is the will of the one who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son, and trusts in him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” (aiōnios g166)
41 Da murrten die Juden über ihn, weil er gesagt hatte: "Ich bin das lebendige Brot, das aus dem Himmel gekommen ist."
The Jews [Praisers] therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, “I am the bread which came down out of heaven.”
42 Sie sprachen: "Ist das nicht Jesus, der Sohn Josephs? Und kennen wir nicht seinen Vater und seine Mutter? Wie kann er sagen: 'Ich bin vom Himmel herabgekommen?'"
They said, “Is not this Yeshua [Salvation], the son of Joseph [May he add], whose father and mother we know? How then does he say, ‘I have come down out of heaven?’”
43 Doch Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Murret nicht untereinander!
Therefore Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Don’t murmur among yourselves.
44 Niemand kann zu mir kommen, wenn ihn nicht der Vater, der mich gesandt hat, zieht; und ich werde ihn auferwecken am Jüngsten Tage.
No one can come to me unless Abba Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.
45 Bei den Propheten steht geschrieben: 'Sie alle werden Schüler Gottes sein.' Wer immer auf den Vater hört und sich belehren läßt, der kommt zu mir.
It is written in the prophets, ‘They will all be taught by Adonai.’ Therefore everyone who hears from haAbba ·the Father·, and has learned, comes to me.
46 Nicht, als ob je einer den Vater gesehen hätte. Nur der, der bei Gott ist, hat den Vater gesehen.
Not that anyone has seen Abba Father, except he who is from God. He has seen Abba Father.
Most certainly, I tell you, he who trusts in me has eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
48 Ich bin das Brot des Lebens.
Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)], the bread of life.
49 Eure Väter haben das Manna in der Wüste gegessen und sind gestorben.
Your fathers ate the manna ·what is it· in the wilderness, and they died.
50 Das Brot, das aus dem Himmel kommt, ist solcher Art, daß keiner stirbt, der davon ißt.
This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, that anyone may eat of it and not die.
51 Ich bin das lebendige Brot, das aus dem Himmel gekommen ist. Wer von diesem Brot ißt, wird ewig leben. Das Brot, das ich geben werde, ist mein Fleisch für das Leben der Welt." (aiōn g165)
Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)], the living manna ·what is it· which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this manna, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” (aiōn g165)
52 Da stritten die Juden untereinander und sagten: "Wie kann uns dieser das Fleisch zu essen geben?"
The Jews [Praisers] therefore contended with one another, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”
53 Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: "Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wenn ihr das Fleisch des Menschensohnes nicht essen und sein Blut nicht trinken werdet, so werdet ihr das Leben nicht in euch haben.
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you don’t have life in yourselves.
54 Wer mein Fleisch ißt und mein Blut trinkt, hat ewiges Leben, und ich werde ihn auferwecken am Jüngsten Tage. (aiōnios g166)
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
55 Denn mein Fleisch ist wirklich eine Speise und mein Blut wirklich ein Trank.
For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 Wer mein Fleisch ißt und mein Blut trinkt, der bleibt in mir und ich in ihm.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him.
57 Wie mich der lebendige Vater gesandt hat und ich kraft des Vaters lebe, so wird auch, wer mich ißt, durch mich leben.
As the living Abba Father sent me, and I live because of Abba ·Father familiar, Dear Dad·; so he who feeds on me, he will also live because of me.
58 So ist das Brot, das aus dem Himmel herabgekommen ist, nicht wie jenes, das die Väter gegessen haben, die gestorben sind. Wer dieses Brot ißt, wird ewig leben." (aiōn g165)
This is the bread which came down out of heaven— not as our fathers ate the manna ·what is it·, and died. He who eats this bread will live forever.” (aiōn g165)
59 Dies sprach er, als er zu Kapharnaum in der Synagoge lehrte.
He said these things in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum [Village-Comfort, Village-Compassion].
60 Viele seiner Jünger, die zugehört hatten, erklärten: "Diese Rede ist schwer zu ertragen; wer mag ihn weiter anhören?"
Therefore many of his disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying! Who can listen to it?”
61 Doch Jesus wußte von sich aus, daß seine Jünger darüber murrten, und er sprach zu ihnen: "Ihr nehmt daran Anstoß?
But Yeshua [Salvation] knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said to them, “Does this cause you to be scandalized ·to entrap, to cause weak knees that waiver, stumbling block that causes falling, distrusting one that should be trusted and obeyed, disapproving of authority, to judge unfavorably causing displeasure, indignant·?
62 Wenn ihr den Menschensohn nun dahin auffahren seht, wo er zuvor war?
Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
63 Der Geist ist es, der lebendig macht; das Fleisch nützt nichts. Die Worte, die ich zu euch gesprochen habe, sind Geist und Leben.
It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.
64 Doch es sind einige unter euch, die nicht glauben." Denn Jesus wußte von Anfang an, wer die wären, die nicht glauben, und wer der ist, der ihn verraten würde.
But there are some of you who don’t trust.” For Yeshua [Salvation] knew from the beginning who they were who didn’t trust, and who it was who would betray him.
65 So fuhr er fort: "Deshalb habe ich zu euch gesagt: Zu mir kann niemand kommen, wenn es ihm nicht vom Vater gegeben ist."
He said, “For this cause have I said to you that no one can come to me, unless it is given to him by 'Avi ·my Father·.”
66 Von da an zogen sich viele seiner Jünger ganz zurück und gingen nicht mehr mit ihm.
At this, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67 Da fragte Jesus die Zwölf: "Wollt vielleicht auch ihr weggehen?"
Yeshua [Salvation] said therefore to the twelve, “You don’t also want to go away, do you?”
68 Darauf gab ihm Simon Petrus zur Antwort: "Herr, zu wem sollen wir gehen? Du hast Worte ewigen Lebens. (aiōnios g166)
Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock] answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
69 Wir glauben und wir wissen, daß du der Heilige Gottes bist."
We have come to trust and know that you are the Messiah [Anointed one], haBen haElohim Chayim [the Son of the God Living].”
70 Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Habe ich nicht euch Zwölf mir auserwählt? Und doch - einer aus euch ist ein Teufel."
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Didn’t I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil [Accuser]?”
71 Damit meinte er den Judas Iskariot, den Sohn des Simon; denn dieser war daran, ihn zu verraten; einer aus den Zwölfen.
Now he spoke of Judas [Praised], the son of Simeon [Hearing] from K'riot, for it was he who would betray him, being one of the twelve.
