Johannes 4
1 Als der Herr erfahren hatte, den Pharisäern sei berichtet worden, daß Jesus mehr Jünger gewinne und mehr taufe als Johannes
Assone as the Lorde had knowledge how the Pharises had hearde that Iesus made and baptised moo disciples then Iohn
2 -doch taufte Jesus nicht selber, sondern seine Jünger-
(though that Iesus him selfe baptised not: but his disciples)
3 verließ er Judäa und ging nach Galiläa zurück.
he lefte Iewry and departed agayne into Galile.
4 Er mußte seinen Weg durch Samaria nehmen.
And it was so that he must nedes goo thorowe Samaria.
5 So kam er zu einer Stadt Samarias mit Namen Sichar, nahe bei dem Grundstück, das Jakob seinem Sohne Joseph geschenkt hatte.
Then came he to a cyte of Samaria called Sichar besydes the possession that Iacob gave to his sonne Ioseph.
6 Dort war der Jakobsbrunnen. Ermüdet von der Wanderung, setzte sich Jesus ohne weiteres am Brunnen nieder; es war um die sechste Stunde.
And there was Iacobs well. Iesus then weryed in his iorney sate thus on the well. And it was about the sixte houre:
7 Eine Samariterin kam zum Wasserschöpfen. Und Jesus bat sie: "Gib mir zu trinken!"
and there came a woman of Samaria to drawe water. And Iesus sayde vnto her: geve me drynke.
8 Seine Jünger waren nämlich in die Stadt gegangen, um Nahrungsmittel einzukaufen.
For his disciples were gone awaye vnto the toune to bye meate.
9 Die Samariterin erwiderte ihm: "Wie kannst denn du, ein Jude, von mir, einer Samariterin, einen Trunk erbitten?" - Die Juden haben nämlich keinerlei Verkehr mit Samaritern. -
Then sayde the woman of Samaria vnto him: how is it that thou beinge a Iewe axest drinke of me which am a Samaritane? for the Iewes medle not with the Samaritans.
10 Doch Jesus sprach zu ihr: "Wenn du die Gabe Gottes kenntest und den, der dich gebeten: 'Gib mir zu trinken', so hättest du ihn wohl gebeten, und er würde dir fließendes Wasser geben."
Iesus answered and sayde vnto hir: yf thou knewest the gyfte of God and who it is that sayeth to the geve me drynke thou woldest have axed of him and he wolde have geven the water of lyfe.
11 "Herr!" sagte das Weib zu ihm, "du hast ja kein Schöpfgefäß, und der Brunnen ist tief. Woher hast du denn fließendes Wasser?
The woman sayde vnto him. Syr thou hast no thinge to drawe with and the well is depe: from whence then hast thou yt water of lyfe?
12 Bist du vielleicht größer als unser Vater Jakob, der uns den Brunnen gegeben und selbst aus ihm getrunken hat, samt seinen Söhnen und Herden?"
Arte thou greater then oure father Iacob which gave vs the well and he him silfe dranke therof and his chyldren and his catell?
13 Jesus sprach zu ihr: "Wer von diesem Wasser trinkt, den wird es wieder dürsten;
Iesus answered and sayde vnto hir: whosoever drinketh of this water shall thurst agayne.
15 Darauf bat ihn das Weib: "Herr, gib mir dieses Wasser, damit ich nimmer dürste und nicht mehr zum Wasserschöpfen herzukommen brauche."
The woma sayd vnto him: Syr geve me of that water that I thyrst not nether come hedder to drawe.
16 Und Jesus sprach zu ihr: "Geh, rufe deinen Mann und komm hierher!"
Iesus sayde vnto her. Go and call thy husband and come hydder.
17 Das Weib gab ihm zur Antwort: "Ich habe keinen Mann." Und Jesus sprach zu ihr: "Du hast recht, wenn du sagst: 'Ich habe keinen Mann.'
The woman answered and sayde to him: I have no husband.
18 Fünf Männer hast du schon gehabt, und der, den du jetzt hast, ist nicht dein Mann. Da hast du die Wahrheit gesagt."
Iesus sayde to her. Thou hast well sayd I have no husbande. For thou haste had five husbandes and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband. That saydest thou truely.
19 "Herr", sagte darauf das Weib zu ihm, "ich sehe, du bist ein Prophet.
The woman sayde vnto him: Syr I perceave yt thou arte a prophet.
20 Unsere Väter haben Gott auf diesem Berge angebetet; ihr sagt, in Jerusalem sei die Stätte, wo man anbeten müsse."
Oure fathers worshipped in this mountayne: and ye saye that in Hierusalem is the place where men ought to worshippe.
21 Und Jesus sprach zu ihr: "Weib, glaube mir: Die Stunde kommt, da ihr weder auf dem Berge dort noch in Jerusalem den Vater anbeten werdet.
Iesus sayde vnto her: woman beleve me the houre cometh when ye shall nether in this moutayne nor yet at Ierusalem worshippe the father.
22 Ihr betet an, was ihr nicht kennet; wir beten an, was wir kennen; denn das Heil kommt von den Juden.
Ye worshippe ye wot not what: we knowe what we worshippe. For salvacion cometh of the Iewes.
23 Jedoch die Stunde kommt, und sie ist jetzt da, in der die wahren Anbeter den Vater im Geist und in der Wahrheit anbeten werden. Der Vater sucht solche Anbeter;
But the houre commeth and nowe is when the true worshippers shall worshippe the father in sprete and in trouthe. For verely suche the father requyreth to worshippe him.
24 denn Gott ist Geist, und die ihn anbeten, müssen ihm im Geist und in der Wahrheit anbeten."
God is a sprete and they that worshippe him must worshippe him in sprete and trouthe.
25 Das Weib entgegnete ihm: "Ich weiß, daß der Messias - das ist der sogenannte Christus - kommt. Ist er einmal da, dann wird er alles uns verkünden."
The woman sayde vnto him: I wot well Messias shall come which is called Christ. When he is come he will tell vs all thinges.
26 Da sagte Jesus zu ihr: "Ich bin es, der mit dir redet."
Iesus sayde vnto hir: I that speake vnto the am he.
27 Darüber kamen seine Jünger. Sie wunderten sich sehr, daß er mit einem Weibe rede. Doch fragte keiner: "Was willst du von ihr?" oder "Was redest du mit ihr?"
And eve at that poynte came his disciples and marvelled that he talked with the woman. Yet no man sayde vnto him: what meanest thou or why talkest thou with her?
28 Das Weib ließ ihren Wasserkrug indessen stehen, eilte in die Stadt und sagte zu den Leuten:
The woma then lefte her waterpot and went her waye into the cite and sayde to the men.
29 "Kommt, seht einen Mann, der mir alles gesagt hat, was ich getan habe. Vielleicht ist dieser der Christus."
Come se a man which tolde me all thinges yt ever I dyd. Is not he Christ?
30 Da gingen sie zur Stadt hinaus und kamen zu ihm.
Then they went ont of the cite and came vnto him.
31 Inzwischen baten ihn seine Jünger: "Rabbi, iß!"
And in ye meane while his disciples prayed him sayinge: Master eate.
32 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: "Ich habe eine Speise zum Essen, die ihr nicht kennt."
He sayde vnto the: I have meate to eate that ye knowe not of.
33 Die Jünger sprachen zueinander: "Hat ihm denn jemand zu essen gebracht?"
Then sayd ye disciples bitwene them selves: hath eny ma brought him meate?
34 Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Meine Speise ist es, den Willen dessen zu tun, der mich gesandt hat, und sein Werk zur Vollendung zu bringen.
Iesus sayde vnto them: my meate is to doo the will of him that sent me. And to fynnysshe his worke.
35 Sagt ihr denn nicht: Noch vier Monate, und dann kommt die Ernte? Seht, ich sage euch: Erhebt eure Augen und betrachtet die Felder; sie sind weiß zur Ernte.
Saye not ye: there are yet foure monethes and then cometh harvest? Beholde I saye vnto you lyfte vp youre eyes and loke on ye regios: for they are whyte all redy vnto harvest.
36 Schon empfängt der Schnitter seinen Lohn und sammelt Frucht zum ewigen Leben, daß Sämann und Schnitter sich zugleich erfreuen. (aiōnios g166)
And he ye repeth receaveth rewarde and gaddereth frute vnto life eternall: that bothe he that soweth and he yt repeth myght reioyse to gether. (aiōnios g166)
37 Hier wird das Sprichwort wahr: 'Ein anderer sät, ein anderer erntet.'
And herin is the sayinge true yt one soweth and another repeth.
38 Ich habe euch ausgesandt zu ernten, wo ihr nicht gearbeitet habt; andere taten die Arbeit, und ihr seid in ihre Arbeit eingetreten."
I sent you to repe yt whero ye bestowed no laboure. Other men laboured and ye are entred into their labours.
39 Viele Samariter aus jener Stadt glaubten an ihn, weil das Weib ihnen fest versicherte: "Er hat mir alles gesagt, was ich getan habe."
Many of the Samaritas of that cyte beleved on him for ye sayinge of the woma which testified: he tolde me all thinges yt ever I dyd.
40 Die Samariter kamen zu ihm und baten ihn, bei ihnen zu bleiben.
Then when the Samaritas were come vnto him they besought him yt he wolde tary wt the. And he aboode there two dayes.
41 Er blieb dort zwei Tage. Noch viel mehr glaubten an ihn um seiner Lehre willen.
And many moo beleved because of his awne wordes
42 Dem Weibe aber sagten sie: "Nicht mehr um deines Redens willen glauben wir, nun haben wir ihn selbst gehört, wir wissen: Dieser ist wahrhaft der Heiland der Welt."
and sayd vnto the woman: Now we beleve not because of thy sayinge. For we have herde him oure selves and knowe that this is even in dede Christ the savioure of the worlde.
43 Nach den zwei Tagen zog er von dort weiter und ging nach Galiläa.
After two dayes he departed thence and wet awaye into Galile.
44 Auch Jesus selbst ist ein Beweis dafür, daß ein Prophet in seiner Heimat keine Anerkennung findet.
And Iesus him selfe testified that a Prophete hath none honoure in his awne countre.
45 Doch als er nach Galiläa kam, da nahmen ihn die Galiläer auf; sie hatten alles gesehen, was er in Jerusalem am Feste gewirkt hatte; auch sie waren nämlich zum Feste gekommen.
Then assone as he was come into Galile the Galileans receaved him which had sene all the thinges yt he dyd at Ierusalem at ye feast. For they wet also vnto ye feast daye.
46 So kam er wieder nach Kana in Galiläa, wo er das Wasser in Wein verwandelt hatte. Da war ein königlicher Beamter in Kapharnaum, dessen Sohn krank darniederlag.
And Iesus came agayne into Cana of Galile wher he turned water into wyne. And ther was a certayne ruler whose sonne was sicke at Capernaum.
47 Als er vernahm, daß Jesus von Judäa her nach Galiläa komme, suchte er ihn auf und bat ihn, er möge kommen und seinen Sohn, der schon im Sterben liege, heilen.
Assone as the same herde that Iesus was come out of Iewry into Galile he wet vnto him and besought him yt he wolde descende and heale his sonne: For he was eve readie to dye.
48 Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: "Wenn ihr nicht Zeichen und Wunder seht, glaubt ihr nicht."
Then sayde Iesus vnto him: excepte ye se signes and wodres ye canot beleve.
49 Da bat ihn der königliche Beamte: "Herr, komm, bevor mein Kind stirbt."
The ruler sayd vnto him: Syr come awaye or ever yt my chylde dye.
50 Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: "Geh heim, dein Sohn lebt." Der Mann glaubte dem Wort, das Jesus ihm gesagt hatte, und ging heim.
Iesus sayde vnto him goo thy waye thy sonne liveth. And the ma beleved ye wordes yt Iesus had spoke vnto him and wet his waye.
51 Er war noch auf dem Wege, da kamen ihm seine Knechte entgegen mit der Kunde: "Dein Sohn lebt."
And anone as he went on his waye his servantes met him and tolde him sayinge: thy chylde liveth.
52 Er fragte sie nach der Stunde, in der die Besserung eingetreten sei. Sie sagten ihm: "Gestern um die siebte Stunde hat ihn das Fieber verlassen."
Then enquyred he of the the houre when he begane to amende. And they sayde vnto him: Yester daye the sevethe houre the fever lefte him.
53 Da erkannte der Vater, daß es genau die Stunde gewesen war, da Jesus ihm gesagt hatte: "Dein Sohn lebt." Nun wurde er mit seinem Hause gläubig.
And the father knew that it was the same houre in which Iesus sayde vnto him: Thy sonne liveth. And he beleved and all his housholde.
54 Das war schon das zweite Zeichen, das Jesus nach der Rückkehr aus Judäa nach Galiläa gewirkt hatte.
Thys is agayne the seconde myracle yt Iesus dyd after he was come oute of Iewry into Galile.
