Jeremia 45

1 Das Wort, das Jeremias, der Prophet, zu Baruch, Sohn des Neria, sprach. Er hatte diese Reden in ein Buch geschrieben

The word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book from the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,

2 im vierten Jahr des Judakönigs und Josiassohnes Jojakim, nach Angabe des Jeremias:

Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, to thee, O Baruch;

3 "So spricht er Herr, Gott Israels, von dir, Baruch: 'Du sprachest: Wehe mir! Denn meinen Schmerz vermehrt der Herr durch Kummer; von meinem Seufzen bin ich müde; ich finde keine Ruhe.'

Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.

4 So sprich zu ihm: 'So spricht der Herr: Was ich gebaut, das reiß ich ein; was ich gepflanzt, das reiß ich aus, das ganze Land, das mir gehört.

Thus shalt thou say to him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built I will break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.

5 Und du verlangst für dich so Großes? Verlang es nicht! Ich bringe Unheil über alles Fleisch.' Ein Spruch des Herrn. Dein Leben gebe ich zur Beute dir an jenem Ort, wohin du gehen willst.

And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give to thee for a prize in all places where thou goest.
