Jeremia 28

1 Im selben Jahr geschah es, im Anfang der Regierung des Judakönigs Sedekias, im vierten Jahr, im fünften Monat, daß Ananias, Azzurs Sohn, der Seher, der aus Gibeon stammt, im Haus des Herrn so zu mir sprach, in Gegenwart der Priester und des ganzen Volkes:

And it came to pass in the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah the king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that there said unto me Chananyah the son of 'Azzur the prophet, who was from Gib'on, in the house of the Lord, before the eyes of the priests, and of all the people, as followeth,

2 "So spricht der Herr der Heerscharen, Gott Israels: 'Zerbrechen werde ich das Joch des Babelkönigs.

Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon;

3 Nur noch ein Jahrespaar, dann bringe ich an diesen Ort zurück all die Geräte für das Haus des Herrn, die einst Nebukadrezar, Babels König, von diesem Orte fort nach Babel bringen ließ.

Within yet two years' time will I cause to be brought back unto this place all the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon hath taken away from this place, and which he hath carried to Babylon:

4 Auch Judas König Jojachin, den Sohn des Jojakim, und die nach Babel abgeführte Mannschaft Judas bring ich heim an diesen Ort', ein Spruch des Herrn; 'des Babelkönigs Joch zerbreche ich.'"

And Jechonyah the son of Jehoyakim the king of Judah, and all the exiles of Judah that are gone to Babylon, will I cause to return to this place, saith the Lord; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

5 Darauf sprach Jeremias, der Prophet, zu Ananias, dem Propheten, in Gegenwart der Priester und des ganzen Volks, das in dem Haus des Herren stand.

Then said Jeremiah the prophet unto Chananyah the prophet before the eyes of the priests, and before the eyes of all the people that stood in the house of the Lord,

6 Sprach Jeremias, der Prophet: "So sei's! So tue nur der Herr! Der Herr erfülle deine Worte, die du geweissagt hast! Ach, brächte er aus Babel die Geräte für das Haus des Herrn und alle die Gefangenen an diesen Ort zurück!

Yea, then said Jeremiah the prophet, Amen, may the Lord do so: may the Lord fulfill thy words which thou hast prophesied, to cause the vessels of the Lord's house, and all that have been carried into exile, to be brought back from Babylon unto this place.

7 Doch hör dies Wort! Ich sag es laut vor dir und allem Volke aus:

Nevertheless hear thou now this word which I speak before thy ears, and before the ears of all the people:

8 Die Seher, die vor mir und dir, von alters her gelebt, weissagten vielen Ländern, großen Reichen von Krieg und Not und Pest.

The prophets that have been before me and before thee from olden times prophesied both concerning many countries, and against great kingdoms, respecting war, and respecting evil, and respecting pestilence.

9 Doch der Prophet, der Heil weissagt, kann erst als Seher sich ausweisen, als ein vom Herrn in Wahrheit Ausgesandter, wenn sich das Seherwort erfüllt."

The prophet who prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet doth come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, [as the one] whom the Lord hath sent in truth.

10 Darauf nahm Ananias, der Prophet, das Jochholz von dem Hals des Jeremias, des Propheten, und zerbrach es.

Then took Chananyah the prophet the yoke-bar from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and broke it.

11 Darauf sprach Ananias in Gegenwart des ganzen Volkes: "So spricht der Herr: 'Also zerbreche ich das Joch Nebukadrezars, des Babelkönigs, noch vor dem Ablauf eines Jahrespaares und nehme es vom Nacken aller Völker weg.'" Doch Jeremias, der Prophet, ging seines Wegs.

And Chananyah said before the eyes of all the people, as followeth, Thus hath said the Lord, Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon within two years' time from the neck of all the nations. And Jeremiah the prophet went his way.

12 Darauf erging das Wort des Herrn an Jeremias, dem der Seher Ananias das Jochholz von dem Hals zerbrochen hatte.

Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, after Chananyah the prophet had broken the yoke-bar from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

13 "Auf! Sprich zu Ananias! So spricht der Herr: 'Ein hölzern Joch hast du zerbrochen, an seine Stelle setzest du ein eisernes.'

Go and say unto Chananyah as followeth, Thus hath said the Lord, Yoke-bars of wood hast thou broken; but thou shalt make in their stead yoke-bars of iron.

14 Denn also spricht der Herr der Heerscharen, Gott Israels: 'Ich leg ein eisern Joch dem Halse aller dieser Völker auf. Sie müssen dienstbar sein und bleiben dem Nebukadrezar, Babels König; ich gebe ihm auch noch des Feldes Tiere.'"

For thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, A yoke of iron have I placed upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon; and they shall work for him: and also the beasts of the field have I given him.

15 Darauf sprach Jeremias, der Prophet, zu dem Propheten Ananias: "Hör, Ananias! Hör! Der Herr hat niemals dich gesandt, und doch hast du dies Volk verleitet, auf Lüge zu vertrauen.

Then said Jeremiah the prophet unto Chananyah the prophet, Hear now, Chananyah, The Lord did not send thee; but thou hast caused this people to trust on a falsehood.

16 So spricht deshalb der Herr: 'Ich schaffe dich von dieser Erde weg. Du stirbst noch dieses Jahr, weil du empfohlen, sich dem Herrn zu widersetzen.'"

Therefore thus hath said the Lord, Behold, I will send thee away from off the face of the earth: this year shalt thou die, because thou hast spoken rebellion against the Lord.

17 Und noch im selben Jahr, im siebten Monat, starb Ananias, der Prophet.

So Chananyah the prophet died in that same year, in the seventh month.
