Jesaja 54
1 Du Unfruchtbare, jauchze, die du nicht geboren! Brich aus in Jubel, jauchze du, die nicht in Wehen hat gelegen! "Denn der Verstoßnen Kinderzahl ist größer als jene der Vermählten." - So spricht der Herr.
"Sing, barren, you who did not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than of her that has a husband," says the LORD.
2 Mach weit den Raum in deinem Zelte! Man spanne weiter deiner Wohnungen Behänge und spare nicht! Verlängere deine Stricke, schlage fester deine Pflöcke ein!
"Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations; do not spare: lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.
3 Nach rechts und links dehnst du dich aus, und Heidenvölker unterjocht sich dein Geschlecht, besiedelt wieder Städte.
For you shall spread out on the right hand and on the left; and your descendants shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 Sei ohne Furcht! Du brauchst dich nicht zu schämen. Sei frohen Muts! Du brauchst nicht zu erröten. Die Schande deiner Kinderlosigkeit vergissest du; der Schande deiner Witwenschaft gedenkst du nimmer.
"Do not be afraid, for you will not be put to shame, nor will you be humiliated, for you will not be disgraced. For you will forget the shame of your youth, and the disgrace of your widowhood you will remember no more.
5 Dein Gatte ist ja der, der dich erschaffen; "der Heeresscharen Herr" heißt er. Der Heilige Israels ist dein Befreier; "Gott aller Welt" heißt er.
For your husband is your Creator; the LORD of hosts is his name: and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; the God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6 Wie ein verlassnes, tiefbetrübtes Weib ruft dich der Herr zurück. "Ein Weib der Jugendliebe, kann es denn verworfen werden?" So spricht dein Gott.
For the LORD has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off," says your God.
7 "Nur einen kleinen Augenblick verließ ich dich; mit starker Liebe hole ich dich wieder ein.
"For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you.
8 In großem Zorn verbarg ich einen Augenblick mein Angesicht vor dir. Ich hege nunmehr dich mit ewiger Zärtlichkeit", so spricht, der dich erlöst, der Herr.
In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting loving kindness will I have mercy on you," says the LORD your Redeemer.
9 "Wie in des Noë Tagen tu ich; so, wie ich damals schwur: 'Nie sollen Noës Fluten die Erde wieder überschwemmen', so schwöre ich, nie wieder dir zu grollen, nie wieder dich zu schelten.
"For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah shall no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
10 Selbst Berge mögen weichen, Hügel wanken, doch meine Liebe weicht nicht mehr von dir, nie wieder wankt mein Friedensbund", so spricht der Herr, der dich so zärtlich liebt.
For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD who has mercy on you.
11 "Du Arme, Sturmgepeitschte, Trostberaubte! Ich will in Malachit einbetten deine Steine und in Saphire deine Grundfesten.
"You afflicted, tossed with storms, and not comforted, look, I will set your stones in beautiful colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires.
12 Ich mache aus Rubinen deine Zinnen und deine Tore aus Karfunkel und deinen ganzen Wall aus Edelstein. -
I will make your pinnacles of rubies, and your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.
13 Und alle, die dich bauen, werden von dem Herrn selbst unterrichtet, und groß ist die Geschicklichkeit bei denen, die dich bauen.
And all your children shall be taught by God; and great shall be the peace of your children.
14 Kunstfertig, fest erbaut, so wisse dich von jedem Überfalle fern! Du brauchst ihn ja nicht mehr zu fürchten, auch nicht den Untergang. Er darf dir nicht zu nahe kommen. -
In righteousness you shall be established: you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not be afraid; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.
15 Wer angreift, wird von mir vernichtet. Wer mit dir kämpft, fällt deinetwegen.
Look, they may gather together, but not by me: whoever shall gather together against you shall fall because of you.
16 Ich schuf den Schmied, der in das Kohlenfeuer bläst und der nach seiner Weise Waffen schmiedet. Ich selber schaffe auch das Werkzeug zur Vernichtung.
"Look, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals, and brings forth a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17 Kein Kriegsgerät, gen dich geschmiedet, hat Glück, und jede Zunge, die im Streit ums Recht dich anficht, kannst du widerlegen. Das ist das Erbteil für des Herren Knechte und das, worauf sie bei mir Anspruch haben." Ein Spruch des Herrn.
No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness which is of me," says the LORD.
