Jesaja 52
1 Auf! Sion! Auf! Dein Festkleid angelegt! In deine Prachtgewänder hülle dich, Jerusalem, du heilige Stadt! Kein Unbeschnittener, kein Unreiner betritt dich fernerhin.
Awake, awake, put on thy majesty, O Zion! Put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For no more shall come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
2 Schüttle den Staub ab! Auf! Gefangenes Jerusalem! Lös dir die Fesseln deines Halses, gefangene Sionstochter!
Shake thyself from the dust, Arise and sit erect, O Jerusalem! Loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion!
3 Ja, also spricht der Herr: "Umsonst seid ihr verkauft; so werdet ihr auch unentgeltlich freigegeben."
For thus saith Jehovah: For naught were ye sold, And without money shall ye be ransomed.
4 Denn also spricht der Herr, der Herr: "Mein Volk zog damals nach Ägypten und wollte dort nur gasten, Assur bedrückte es um nichts.
For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: My people went down to Egypt formerly to sojourn there, And the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
5 Nun aber, wie geschieht mir hier?" Ein Spruch des Herrn: "Mein Volk ist ohne Grund gefangen, und seine Fürsten klagen wehe." Ein Spruch des Herrn: "Mein Name wird noch immerfort gelästert.
And now, what have I here to do, saith the Lord, When my people is taken away for naught, And their tyrants exult, saith Jehovah, And all the day long my name is blasphemed.
6 Drum soll mein Volk es noch erfahren, wie ich heiße, jawohl an diesem Tag, daß ich es bin, der da gesagt: 'Seht! Ich bin da.'"
Therefore shall my people know my name; Therefore in that day shall they know That I am he that said, Behold, here am I!
7 Wie hochwillkommen eilen über das Gebirge des Freudenboten Füße, der Frieden ausruft, Glück verkündet und Heil verlauten läßt, der Sion meldet: "Dein Gott ist wieder König!"
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, of him that proclaimeth peace! That bringeth good tidings, that proclaimeth salvation! That saith to Zion, “Thy God is king!”
8 Horch! Deine Wächter rufen laut; sie jubeln alle. Sie sehen ganz genau den Herrn zurück nach Sion kehren.
Hark! the voice of thy watchmen! They lift up the voice together; yea, they shout! For eye to eye shall they behold, When Jehovah returneth to Zion.
9 Jauchzt auf! Im Chore jubelt, Trümmer von Jerusalem! Der Herr erbarmt sich seines Volkes, befreit Jerusalem.
Break forth into joy; shout together, ye ruins of Jerusalem! For Jehovah hath pity on his people; he redeemeth Jerusalem.
10 Der Herr entblößt den heiligen Arm vor aller Heidenvölker Augen. Alle Enden der Erde schaun die Hilfe unseres Gottes.
Jehovah maketh bare his holy arm In the sight of all the nations; All the ends of the earth Behold the salvation from our God.
11 Hinweg! Hinweg! Heraus von da! Berührt nichts Unreines! Zieht fort aus seiner Mitte! Doch reinigt euch, die ihr des Herrn Gefäße tragt!
Depart, depart ye; go ye out from thence; Touch no unclean thing! Go ye out from the midst of her; Be ye clean, ye that bear the vessels of Jehovah!
12 Doch euer Auszug sei nicht eilig und eure Reise nicht fluchtartig! Der Herr geht euch voran, und eure Nachhut bildet wieder Israels Gott.
For not in haste shall ye go forth, Nor in flight shall ye pass along; For Jehovah shall march in your front, And the God of Israel bring up your rear.
13 Fürwahr! Mein Knecht hat Glück; groß wird er, hochgeachtet, hochgeehrt.
Behold, my servant shall prosper; He shall be lifted up, and set on high, and greatly exalted.
14 Wie viele seinetwegen sich entsetzten, - so sehr entstellt war er, so wenig sah er andern Menschen ähnlich, so wenig andern Menschenkindern gleich -,
As many were amazed at the sight of him, —So disfigured and scarcely human was his visage, And so unlike that of a man was his form, —
15 so setzt er viele Heidenvölker über sich in Staunen, und Könige verschließen ihren Mund. Denn nie Erzähltes schauen sie, und nie Gehörtes hören sie.
So shall he cause many nations to exult on account of him; Kings shall shut their mouths before him. For what had never been told them shall they see, And what they never heard shall they perceive.
