Jesaja 46
1 Gebeugt ist Bel; geduckt ist Nebo. Und ihre Götzenbilder sind den Tieren und dem Lastvieh aufgeladen, sie, die euch tragen sollten, als Last dem Vieh, dem abgematteten.
Bel sinketh down; Nebo falleth; Their images are laid upon beasts and cattle; Those that ye once bore are packed upon them; A burden to the weary beast!
2 Geduckt, gebeugt sind sie zumal; sie können ihre Würde nimmer schützen; sie wandern selbst in die Gefangenschaft.
They sink down; they fall together; They cannot rescue the burden; They themselves go into captivity.
3 "Hör mir zu, Jakobshaus, du ganzer Rest des Hauses Israel, ihr, die ihr seid vom Mutterleib an aufgeladen, vom Mutterschoß an aufgenommen!
Hearken to me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel; Ye that have been borne by me from your birth, That have been carried by me from your earliest breath!
4 Selbst bis in euer Alter bleibe ich derselbe, und bis zum grauen Alter trage ich. Ich hab's getan und hebe weiter; ich trage und behüte es.
Even to your old age I am the same; Even to hoar hairs I will carry you; I have done it, and I will still bear you; I will carry, and will deliver you.
5 Mit wem vergleicht ihr mich, wem wollt ihr mich gleichsetzen? Nach wem mich bilden, daß wir uns glichen?
To whom will ye liken me, and compare me? Yea, to whom will ye compare me, that we may be like?
6 Die zählen aus dem Beutel Goldstücke und wägen Silber auf der Waage. Sie dingen einen Goldschmied, und dieser macht's zum Gott; sie bücken sich und beten an.
They lavish gold out of the bag, And weigh silver in the balance; They hire a goldsmith, and he maketh it a god; They fall down, yea, they worship it.
7 Sie heben ihn auf ihre Schultern und schleppen ihn, und wenn sie ihn an seinen Platz zurückstellen, dann bleibt er stehen, wo er ist, kann sich nicht von der Stelle rühren. Und ruft jemand zu ihm, erteilt er keine Antwort, befreit aus seiner Not ihn nicht.
They lift him upon the shoulder, and carry him; They set him in his place, and there he standeth; From his place he moveth not; Yea, one may cry to him, yet doth he not answer, Nor save him out of his distress.
8 Bedenket dies! Errötet! Abtrünnige! Nehmt's zu Herzen.
Remember these things, and show yourselves men; Lay them to heart, ye apostates!
9 Ersehet aus dem Früheren von alten Zeiten her, daß ich allein Gott bin und keiner sonst. Schutzgott, und nichts ist je mir gleich,
Remember the former things in ancient times! For I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.
10 der ich von Anfang auch das Ende angekündigt, das Ungeschehene in der Vorzeit, der spricht: 'Mein Wille soll geschehen!' Was mir gefällt, das schaffe ich,
Declaring the end from the beginning; From ancient times the things that were not yet done; Saying, My purpose shall stand, And I will do all my pleasure;
11 der ich von Osten einen Adler rufe, aus fernem Land den Mann für meinen Plan. Kaum habe ich's gesagt, vollführ ich's auch. Wie ich's geplant, mach ich's zur Tat.
Calling from the East the eagle, The man that executeth my purpose from a far country; I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
12 Verstockte! Hört auf mich, die ihr euch fern vom Heile glaubet!
Hearken to me, ye stubborn-hearted, That are far from deliverance!
13 Ich bring mein Heil herbei, das nicht mehr ferne, und meine Hilfe wird sich nicht verzögern. Ich spende Sion Hilfe und meine Herrlichkeit an Israel."
I have brought near my deliverance; it is not far off; My salvation shall not tarry; I will give to Zion salvation, To Israel, my glory.
