Jesaja 11
1 Dann sprießt ein Reis aus Jesses Stumpf; ein Schößling bricht hervor aus seinen Wurzeln. -
A branch will come out of the stock of Jesse, and a shoot out of his roots will bear fruit.
2 Auf ihn läßt sich der Geist des Herrn hernieder, der Geist der Weisheit, des Verstandes, der Geist des Rates und der Stärke, der Geist der Kenntnis und der Furcht des Herrn.
The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
3 Sein Scharfsinn ruht nur auf der Furcht des Herrn; er richtet nicht nach seiner Augen Sicht und urteilt nicht nach dem Verhör.
His delight will be in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears;
4 Er richtet in Gerechtigkeit die Armen und spricht in Redlichkeit Bescheidenen im Land das Urteil. Er schlägt den Bösewicht mit seines Mundes Stock; den Frevler tötet er mit seiner Lippen Hauch.
but with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.
5 Sein Hüftgurt ist Gerechtigkeit, und Treue seiner Lenden Gürtel.
Righteousness will be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his waist.
6 Der Wolf ist bei dem Lamm zu Gast, der Panther lagert bei dem Böcklein, und Kalb und Löwe fressen miteinander; ein kleiner Knabe treibt sie aus. -
The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the young goat; The calf and the young lion will graze together; and a little child will lead them.
7 Und Kuh und Bär befreunden sich und werfen beieinander ihre Jungen, und Stroh frißt gleich dem Rind der Löwe. -
The cow and the bear will graze. Their young ones will lie down together. The lion will eat straw like the ox.
8 An Otternhöhlen spielt der Säugling; ans Natternauge strecken die Entwöhnten ihre Hand.
The nursing child will play near a cobra's hole, and the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den.
9 Nicht wirken Böses sie und nicht Verderb auf meinem heiligen Berg, soweit er reicht. - Denn wie den Meeresboden Wasser decken, so wird das Land voll von des Herrn Erkenntnis.
They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
10 Da steht an jenem Tage Jesses Wurzelsproß als aufgestecktes Banner für die Völker da und wird von Heidenvölkern aufgesucht, und wo er weilt, der Ort ist herrlich. -
And in that day there will be a root of Jesse, one who stands up to rule over the peoples; to him will the nations seek, and his resting place will be glorious.
11 An jenem Tag erhebt der Herr zum zweitenmal die Hand, um seines Volkes Rest sich zu erwerben, der übrig ist aus Assur und Ägypten, aus Patros und aus Äthiopien, aus Elam, Sinear und Hamat und aus den Küstenländern.
It will happen in that day that the LORD will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
12 Er steckt ein Banner für die Heidenvölker auf und sammelt die Verstoßnen Israels und die Versprengten Judas. Er sammelt sie aus den vier Gegenden der Erde.
He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.
13 Dann schwindet Ephraims Neid, und ausgerottet wird die Feindschaft Judas, und Ephraim beneidet Juda nimmermehr, und Juda ist auf Ephraim nicht weiter eifersüchtig. -
The envy also of Ephraim will depart, and those who persecute Judah will be cut off. Ephraim won't envy Judah, and Judah won't persecute Ephraim.
14 Sie stürzen stürmisch sich am Meer auf die Philister; verbündet plündern sie des Ostens Söhne. Die Hände legen sie an Edom und an Moab und machen Ammons Söhne hörig. -
They will fly down on the shoulders of the Philistines on the west. Together they will plunder the people of the east. They will extend their power over Edom and Moab, and the people of Ammon will obey them.
15 Der Herr ließ einst die Zunge des ägyptischen Meeres schwinden. So zeigt er nunmehr seine Faust dem Strom in seinem Damm; in sieben Bäche schlägt er ihn und macht ihn gangbar selbst für Schuhe.
The LORD will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt; and with a mighty wind he will wave his hand over the River, and will split it into seven streams, and cause men to march over in sandals.
16 So gibt es nunmehr eine Straße für seines Volkes Überrest, für die, die aus Assyrien noch übrig, wie einst für Israel bei seinem Auszug aus Ägypterland.
There will be a highway for the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, like there was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
