Hosea 1

1 Des Herren Wort, das an Hosea, Beeris Sohn, erging zur Zeit der Judakönige Ozias, Jotam, Achaz und Ezechias, sowie zur Zeit des Israelkönigs Jeroboam, des Joassohns.

The worde of the Lord that came vnto Hosea the sonne of Beeri, in the daies of Vzziah, Iotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah Kings of Iudah, and in the daies of Ieroboam the sonne of Ioash king of Israel.

2 Beginn der Reden, die vom Herrn gerichtet an Hosea: Der Herr sprach zu Hosea: "Auf! Nimm dir ein unfrei Weib! Von ihr bekomme Kinder, gleichfalls unfreie!" Der Herr erklärte ja das Land für unfrei.

At the beginning the Lord spake by Hosea, and the Lord said vnto Hosea, Goe, take vnto thee a wife of fornications, and children of fornications: for the lande hath committed great whoredome, departing from the Lord.

3 Da ging er hin und nahm die Gomer, eines Söldners Tochter. Und sie empfing, und sie gebar ihm einen Sohn.

So he went, and tooke Gomer, ye daughter of Diblaim, which conceiued and bare him a sonne.

4 Da sprach der Herr zu ihm: "Gib ihm den Namen 'Jezrael'! Denn nur noch eine kleine Weile, dann suche ich die Blutschuld Jezraels an Jehus Hause heim und mache seiner Herrschaft über das Haus Israel ein Ende.

And the Lord said vnto him, Cal his name Izreel: for yet a litle, and I will visite the blood of Izreel vpon the house of Iehu, and will cause to cease the kingdome of the house of Israel.

5 An jenem Tage nämlich wird's geschehen, daß ich den Bogen Israels im Tale Jezraels zerschmettere."

And at that day will I also breake the bowe of Israel in the valley of Izreel.

6 Und sie empfing ein zweitesmal, und da gebar sie eine Tochter. Er sprach zu ihm: "Gib ihr den Namen 'Ungeliebte'! Denn Liebe schenke ich dem Hause Israel nicht mehr. Ich bringe über sie Vernichtung.

She conceiued yet againe, and bare a daughter, and God saide vnto him, Call her name Lo-ruhamah: for I will no more haue pitie vpon the house of Israel: but I wil vtterly take them away.

7 Ich schenke Liebe nur dem Judahaus und rette sie durch ihren Gott, den Herrn. Doch rette ich sie nicht durch Bogen, nicht durchs Schwert, nicht durch die Schlacht, durch Rosse nicht und nicht durch Reiterscharen."

Yet I will haue mercie vpon the house of Iudah, and wil saue them by the Lord their God, and wil not saue them by bow, nor by sword nor by battell, by horses, nor by horsemen.

8 Und sie entwöhnte dann die "Ungeliebte". Und sie empfing und schenkte einem Sohn das Leben.

Nowe when she had wained Lo-ruhamah, shee conceiued, and bare a sonne.

9 Er sprach: "Gib ihm den Namen 'Nicht mein Volk'! Denn ihr seid nimmermehr mein Volk, und ich gehöre euch nicht an."

Then saide God, Call his name Lo-ammi: for yee are not my people: therefore will I not be yours.

10 "Einst aber gleicht die Zahl der Söhne Israels dem Sand am Meer, der nicht zu messen noch zu zählen ist. Anstatt daß es von ihnen heißt: 'Ihr seid nicht mehr mein Volk', heißt's dann von ihnen: 'die, Söhne des lebendigen Gottes'.

Yet the nomber of the children of Israel shall be as the sande of the sea, which can not be measured nor tolde: and in the place where it was saide vnto them, Yee are not my people, it shall be saide vnto them, Yee are the sonnes of the liuing God.

11 Und Judas Söhne und die Söhne Israels, sie werden sich vereinigen und über sich ein Oberhaupt bestellen und so auf Erden hochansehnlich werden. Bedeutungsvoll wird ja der Tag von Jezrael.

Then shall the children of Iudah, and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint them selues one head, and they shall come vp out of the land: for great is the day of Izreel.
