Hebraeer 1
1 Gar oft und verschiedenartig hat Gott vor alters durch die Propheten zu den Vätern geredet;
God, who in the past spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at various times and in many ways,
2 jetzt, am Ende der Tage, sprach er zu uns durch seinen Sohn. Ihn setzte er zum Erben des Weltalls ein, durch den er die Welten geschaffen hat. (aiōn g165)
has in these last days spoken to us through his Son. God appointed the Son heir of everything, and made the universe through him. (aiōn g165)
3 Er ist der Abglanz seiner Herrlichkeit, das Abbild seines Wesens, und er trägt das All durch sein gewaltiges Wort. Er brachte Erlösung von den Sünden und setzte sich zur Rechten der Majestät im Himmel.
The Son is the radiant glory of God, and the visible expression of his true character. He sustains everything by his powerful command. When he had provided cleansing for sin he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
4 Er ward um ebensoviel über alle Engel hoch erhoben, als der Name, den er ererbt hat, den ihren überragt.
He was placed much higher than the angels since he received a greater name than them.
5 Zu welchem Engel hat denn jemals Gott gesprochen: "Mein Sohn bist du, heute habe ich dich gezeugt"? Oder zu welchem sagte er: "Ich werde ihm Vater und er wird mir Sohn sein"?
God never said to any angel, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father,” or “I will be a Father to him, and he will be a Son to me.”
6 Und wenn er den Erstgeborenen wiederum in die Welt einführt, sagt er: "Ihm sollen huldigen alle Engel Gottes."
Also, when he brought his firstborn Son into the world, he said, “Let all God's angels worship him.”
7 Doch von den Engeln heißt es nur: "Er macht seine Engel zu Winden, zu Feuerflammen seine Diener."
Regarding the angels, he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire,”
8 Vom Sohn aber: "Dein Thron, o Gott, steht für die Ewigkeit der Ewigkeiten!" und "Das Zepter der Gerechtigkeit, das ist dein Herrscherstab. (aiōn g165)
but about the Son he says, “Your throne, God, lasts forever and ever, and justice is the ruling scepter of your kingdom. (aiōn g165)
9 Du liebst das Recht; den Frevel hassest du; darum hat dich, o Gott, dein Gott gesalbt mit Freudenöl, wie keinen deiner Genossen."
You love what is right, and hate what is lawless. That is why God, your God, has placed you above everyone else by anointing you with the oil of joy.”
10 Und weiter heißt es: "Du, o Herr, hast im Anfang die Erde gegründet; die Himmel sind das Werk deiner Hände;
“You, Lord, laid the foundations of the earth in the beginning. The heavens are the product of your hands.
11 doch sie vergehen, Du aber bleibst, veralten werden alle, wie ein Kleid,
They will come to an end, but you will continue. They will wear out like clothes do,
12 wie einen Mantel wirst Du sie zusammenrollen - wie ein Kleid werden sie vertauscht; Du aber bleibst derselbe, und Deine Jahre gehen nicht zu Ende."
and you will roll them up like a cloak. Like clothes, they will be changed, but you never change, and your life never ends.”
13 Zu welchem von den Engeln hat er je gesprochen: "Setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis ich deine Feinde als Schemel dir zu Füßen lege"?
But he never said to any angel, “Sit at my right hand until I place your enemies in subjection under your feet.”
14 Sind nicht vielmehr alle dienende Geister, ausgesandt zum Dienste derer, die das Heil erben sollen?
What are the angels? They are beings that serve, sent out to help those who will receive salvation.
