1 Mose 46
1 So brach Israel mit all seiner Habe auf und kam nach Beerseba. Da brachte er dem Gott seines Vaters Isaak Opfer dar.
And Israel commenced his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
2 Und Gott sprach zu Israel in einem Nachtgesichte. Er sprach: "Jakob! Jakob!" Er sprach: "Hier bin ich."
And God spoke unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
3 Er sprach: "Ich bin Gott, der Schutzgott deines Vaters. Fürchte dich nicht; nach Ägypten zu ziehen! Denn dort mache ich dich zu einem großen Volke.
And he said, I am God, the God of thy father; fear not to go down into Egypt; for a great nation will I make of thee there:
4 Ich selber ziehe mit dir nach Ägypten und ich selber führe dich wieder herauf. Und Joseph wird dir die Hand auf die Augen legen."
I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again; and Joseph shall put his hand upon thy eyes.
5 Da brach Jakob von Beerseba auf, und Israels Söhne hoben ihren Vater Jakob, ihre Kinder und Weiber auf die Wagen, die Pharao gesandt hatte, ihn zu holen.
And Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6 Und sie nahmen ihre Herden mit und ihre Fahrnis, die sie im Lande Kanaan erworben hatten. So kam Jakob mit seiner ganzen Nachkommenschaft nach Ägypten.
And they took their cattle and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt; Jacob, and all his seed with him:
7 Bei ihm waren seine Söhne und Enkel, ferner seine Töchter und Enkelinnen, brachte er doch seine ganze Nachkommenschaft mit sich nach Ägypten.
His sons, and his son's sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, and all his seed he brought with him into Egypt.
8 Dies sind die Namen der Söhne Israels, die nach Ägypten kamen, Jakobs und seiner Söhne: Jakobs Erstgeborener Ruben.
And these are the names of the children of Israel, that came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: the first-born of Jacob, Reuben.
9 Rubens Söhne sind Chanok, Pallu, Chesron und Karmi.
And the sons of Reuben: Chanoch, and Pallu, and Chezron, and Carmi.
10 Simeons Söhne sind Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin und Sochar sowie der Kanaaniterin Sohn, Saul.
And the sons of Simeon: Yemuel, and Yamin, and Ohad, and Yachin, and Zochar, and Shaul the son of the Canaanitish woman.
11 Levis Söhne sind Gerson, Kehat und Merari,
And the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kehath, and Merari.
12 Judas Söhne sind Ger, Onan, Sela, Peres und Zerach; Ger und Onan aber starben schon im Lande Kanaan, und des Peres Söhne sind Chesron und Chamul.
And the sons of Judah: 'Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerach; but 'Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan, and the sons of Perez were Chezron and Chamul.
13 Issakars Söhne sind Tola, Pua, Job und Simron.
And the sons of Issachar: Tola, and Puvah, and Yob, and Shimron.
14 Zabulons Söhne sind Sered, Elon und Jachleel.
And the sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Yachleel.
15 Dies sind die Söhne der Lea, die sie Jakob zu Paddan Aram gebar, sowie seine Tochter Dina; alles zusammen 33 Söhne und Töchter.
These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore unto Jacob in Padan-aram, with Dinah his daughter: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
16 Gads Söhne sind Siphjon, Chaggi, Suni, Esbon, Eri, Arodi und Areli.
And the sons of Gad: Ziphyon, and Chaggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, 'Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
17 Assers Söhne sind Jimna, Jisma, Jiswi, Beria sowie ihre Schwester Serach; Berias Söhne sind Cheber und Malkiel.
And the sons of Asher: Yimnah, and Yishvah, and Yishvi, and Beriah, and Serach their sister; and the sons of Beriah: Cheber, and Malkiel.
18 Dies sind die Söhne Zilpas, die Laban seiner Tochter Lea mitgegeben; sie hatte diese dem Jakob geboren, sechzehn Seelen.
These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and she bore these unto Jacob, sixteen souls.
19 Die Söhne Rachels, des Weibes Jakobs, sind Joseph und Benjamin.
The sons of Rachel, Jacob's wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
20 Dem Joseph aber wurden im Land Ägypten Kinder geboren, die ihm Asenat, die Tochter Potipheras, des Priesters von On, gebar: Manasse und Ephraim.
And there were born unto Joseph in the land of Egypt Menasseh and Ephraim, whom Assenath the daughter of Poti-phera', the priest of On, bore unto him.
21 Benjamins Söhne sind Bela, Beker, Asbel, Gera, Naaman, Echi, Nos, Muppim, Chuppim und Ard.
And the sons of Benjamin: Bela', and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Echi, and Rosh, Muppim and Chuppim, and Ard.
22 Dies sind Rachels Söhne, die dem Jakob geboren worden, zusammen vierzehn Seelen.
These are the sons of Rachel, that were born to Jacob: in all fourteen souls.
23 Dans Sohn ist Chusim.
And the son of Dan: Chushim.
24 Naphtalis Söhne sind Jachseel, Guni, Jeser und Sillem.
And the sons of Naphtali: Yachzeel, and Guni, and Yezer, and Shillem.
25 Dies sind die Söhne Bilhas, die Laban seiner Tochter Rachel mitgegeben; sie hatte diese dem Jakob geboren, zusammen sieben Seelen.
These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bore these unto Jacob, in all seven souls.
26 Aller Seelen, die mit Jakob nach Ägypten kamen, seine leiblichen Nachkommen, ohne die Weiber der Jakobssöhne, waren es sechsundsechzig.
All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, that came out of his loins, besides the wives of Jacob's sons, were in all sixty and six souls.
27 Und der Söhne Josephs, die ihm in Ägypten geboren wurden, waren es zwei. Aller Seelen des Jakobshauses, die nach Ägypten kamen, waren es siebzig.
And the sons of Joseph, who were born him in Egypt, were two souls; all the souls of the house of Jacob, that came into Egypt, were seventy.
28 Nun sandte er Juda zu Joseph voraus, daß er vor ihm Gosen benachrichtige. Und sie kamen ins Land Gosen.
And Judah he sent before him unto Joseph, to direct him beforehand unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
29 Da ließ Joseph seinen Wagen einspannen und fuhr hinauf nach Gosen, seinem Vater Israel entgegen. Als er vor ihm erschien, fiel er ihm um den Hals und weinte noch lange an seinem Hals.
And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen; and when he obtained sight of him, he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
30 Dann sprach Israel zu Joseph: "Jetzt sterbe ich gern, nachdem ich dein Antlitz gesehen und weiß, daß du lebst."
And Israel said unto Joseph, Let me die now, since I have seen thy face, that thou art yet alive.
31 Joseph aber sprach zu seinen Brüdern und zu den anderen Hausgenossen seines Vaters: "Ich will vorauf, es Pharao melden und ihm sagen: 'Meine Brüder sowie meines Vaters Hausgenossen, die im Lande Kanaan waren, sind zu mir gekommen.
And Joseph said unto his brothers, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and tell Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brothers and my father's house, who were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
32 Schafhirten aber sind diese Männer; denn Viehzüchter waren sie von je. Sie haben ihre Schafe, Rinder und alle ihre Habe mitgebracht.'
And the men are shepherds, for they have been owners of cattle; and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, they have brought along.
33 Wenn euch nun Pharao rufen läßt und spricht: 'Was ist euer Gewerbe?',
And it shall come to pass, if Pharaoh should have you called, and say, What is your occupation?
34 dann sagt: 'Von Jugend auf bis heute sind deine Sklaven Viehzüchter gewesen, wir wie auch unsere Väter', damit ihr im Lande Gosen bleiben dürft; denn jeder Schafhirte ist den Ägyptern ein Greuel."
That ye shall say, Owners of cattle have thy servants been from our youth even until now, both we, as also our fathers; in order that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
