1 Mose 26

1 Nun kam eine Hungersnot ins Land, eine andere als jene frühere zu Abrahams Zeiten. So zog Isaak zum Philisterkönig Abimelech nach Gerar.

And it was a famine in the land besides the famine former which it was in [the] days of Abraham and he went Isaac to Abimelech [the] king of [the] Philistines Gerar towards.

2 Da erschien ihm der Herr und sprach: "Zieh nicht nach Ägypten hinab! Bleib in dem Land, das ich dir anweise!

And he appeared to him Yahweh and he said may not you go down Egypt towards dwell in the land which I will say to you.

3 Bleib in diesem Lande zu Gast! Und ich will mit dir sein und dich segnen; denn dir und deinem Stamm gebe ich all diese Lande; dann erfülle ich den Schwur, den ich deinem Vater Abraham geschworen habe.

Sojourn in the land this so I may be with you and I will bless you for to you and to offspring your I will give all the lands these and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham father your.

4 Dann mehre ich deinen Stamm wie des Himmels Sterne und gebe deinem Stamm all diese Lande. In deinem Stamm sollen sich der Erde Völker alle segnen,

And I will multiply offspring your like [the] stars of the heavens and I will give to offspring your all the lands these and they will bless themselves by offspring your all [the] nations of the earth.

5 zum Lohn dafür, daß Abraham auf meine Stimme gehört hat; er befolgte mein Gebot, meine Satzungen, Gesetze und Vorschriften."

Consequence that he listened Abraham to voice my and he kept duty my commandments my statutes my and laws my.

6 So blieb Isaak zu Gerar.

And he dwelt Isaac in Gerar.

7 Als aber die Leute des Ortes nach seinem Weibe fragten, sprach er: "Sie ist nur meine Schwester"; denn er fürchtete sich zu sagen: "Sie ist mein Weib"; sonst könnten mich die Leute des Ortes umbringen; denn Rebekka ist schön.

And they asked [the] men of the place of wife his and he said [is] sister my she for he was afraid to say wife my lest they should kill me [the] men of the place on Rebekah for [was] good of appearance she.

8 Als er längere Zeit dort gewesen war, geschah es, daß der Philisterkönig Abimelech zum Fenster hinausschaute. Da sah er Isaak mit seinem Weib Rebekka kosen.

And it was that they had become long to him there the days and he looked down Abimelech [the] king of [the] Philistines through the window and he saw and there! Isaac [was] playing with Rebekah wife his.

9 Da rief Abimelech den Isaak herbei und sprach: "Also dein Weib ist sie! Wie hast du sagen können: 'Sie ist meine Schwester!'?" Da sprach Isaak zu ihm: "Ich habe gedacht, ich müßte ihretwegen sterben."

And he summoned Abimelech Isaac and he said surely here! [is] wife your she and how? did you say [is] sister my she and he said to him Isaac for I thought lest I should die on her.

10 Abimelech sprach: "Was hast du uns da getan? Wie leicht hätte einer aus dem Volke deinem Weibe beiwohnen können. Dann hättest du Schuld über uns gebracht."

And he said Abimelech what? this have you done to us like a little he lay with one of the people wife your and you will bring on us guilt.

11 Da gebot Abimelech allem Volke: "Wer diesen Mann und sein Weib berührt, soll des Todes sterben."

And he commanded Abimelech all the people saying who [-ever] touches the man this and wife his certainly he will be put to death.

12 Isaak aber säte in jenem Lande. Und er erntete in jenem Jahre hundert Speicher voll. So segnete der Herr ihn.

And he sowed Isaac in the land that and he found in the year that one hundred measures and he blessed him Yahweh.

13 Und so ward der Mann reich und immer reicher, bis er schwer reich geworden war.

And he became great the man and he went continuously and becoming great until for he became great exceedingly.

14 Er besaß Schaf- und Rinderherden und viel Arbeitsvieh. Da beneideten ihn die Philister.

And it be[longed] to him livestock of flock and livestock of herd and service much and they envied him [the] Philistines.

15 Und die Philister verschütteten alle Brunnen, die seines Vaters Knechte bei seines Vaters Abraham Lebzeiten gegraben, und füllten sie mit Erde.

And all the wells which they had dug [the] servants of father his in [the] days of Abraham father his they stopped up them [the] Philistines and they filled them earth.

16 Und Abimelech sprach zu Isaak: "Zieh fort von uns! Du bist ja mächtiger geworden, als uns lieb."

And he said Abimelech to Isaac go from with us for you have become [too] powerful for us much.

17 Und Isaak zog von da weg und lagerte sich im Tale von Gerar und wohnte da.

And he went from there Isaac and he encamped in [the] wadi of Gerar and he dwelt there.

18 Da grub Isaak die Wasserbrunnen wieder auf, die man in seines Vaters Abrahams Tagen gegraben und die nach Abrahams Tod die Philister verschüttet hatten, und benannte sie wieder mit den Namen, die ihnen sein Vater gegeben.

And he returned Isaac and he dug - [the] wells of water which people had dug in [the] days of Abraham father his and they had stopped up them [the] Philistines after [the] death of Abraham and he called them names like the names which he had called them father his.

19 Auch gruben Isaaks Knechte im Tale nach und fanden dort einen Brunnen fließenden Wassers.

And they dug [the] servants of Isaac in the wadi and they found there a well of water living.

20 Die Hirten von Gerar aber stritten mit Isaaks Knechten und sprachen: "Unser ist das Wasser." Da nannte man den Brunnen Esek, weil sie dort gestritten hatten.

And they disputed [the] herdsmen of Gerar with [the] herdsmen of Isaac saying [belongs] to us the water and he called [the] name of the well Esek for they quarreled with him.

21 Dann bohrten sie einen anderen Brunnen; aber auch um diesen stritten sie, und man nannte ihn Sitna.

And they dug a well another and they disputed also on it and he called name its Sitnah.

22 Er zog von dort weiter und grub einen anderen Brunnen. Um diesen stritten sie nicht mehr. Und er nannte ihn Rechobot und sprach: "Nun hat der Herr uns freien Raum geschaffen, und wir können im Lande sorglos sein."

And he moved on from there and he dug a well another and not they disputed on it and he called name its Rehoboth and he said that now he has made space Yahweh for us and we will be fruitful in the land.

23 Von dort zog er nach Beerseba hinauf.

And he went up from there Beer Sheba.

24 Und der Herr erschien ihm in selbiger Nacht und sprach: "Ich bin der Gott deines Vaters Abraham. Fürchte dich nicht! Ich bin mit dir. Ich segne dich und mehre deinen Stamm um meines Dieners Abraham Willen."

And he appeared to him Yahweh in the night that and he said I [am] [the] God of Abraham father your may not you be afraid for [am] with you I and I will bless you and I will multiply offspring your for sake of Abraham servant my.

25 Und er erbaute dort einen Altar und rief den Namen des Herrn an. Er schlug auch hier sein Zelt auf. Und Isaaks Knechte gruben dort einen Brunnen.

And he built there an altar and he called on [the] name of Yahweh and he pitched there tent his and they dug there [the] servants of Isaac a well.

26 Da kam Abimelech zu ihm aus Gerar, mit seinem Vertrauten Achuzat und seinem Heerführer Pikol.

And Abimelech he came to him from Gerar and Ahuzzah close friend his and Phicol [the] commander of army his.

27 Da sprach Isaak zu ihnen: "Warum kommt ihr zu mir? Ihr hasset mich doch und jagtet mich von euch fort?"

And he said to them Isaac why? have you come to me and you you hate me and you sent away me from with you.

28 Sie sprachen: "Wir haben gesehen, daß der Herr mit dir ist. Da sagten wir: Zwischen uns und dir sei ein Eid! Wir wollen einen Bund mit dir schließen,

And they said certainly we have seen that he has been Yahweh - with you and we said let it be please an oath between us between us and between you and let us make a covenant with you.

29 daß du uns kein Übel tust, wie wir dich nicht angetastet, sondern dir bloß Gutes getan; wir entließen dich doch in Frieden. Du bist ja der Gesegnete des Herrn."

If you will do with us harm just as not we have touched you and just as we have done with you only good and we sent away you in peace you now [are] blessed of Yahweh.

30 Da gab er ihnen ein Mahl, und sie aßen und tranken.

And he prepared for them a feast and they ate and they drank.

31 Frühmorgens schwuren sie einander zu. Dann verabschiedete sie Isaak, und sie gingen von ihm in Frieden.

And they rose early in the morning and they swore an oath each to brother his and he sent off them Isaac and they went from with him in peace.

32 Am selben Tage aber kamen Isaaks Knechte und machten ihm Meldung über den Brunnen, den sie gegraben; sie sagten zu ihm: "Wir haben Wasser gefunden."

And it was - on the day that and they came [the] servants of Isaac and they told to him on [the] causes of the well which they had dug and they said to him we have found water.

33 Da nannte er ihn Siba; daher heißt die Stadt bis auf diesen Tag Beerseba.

And he called it Shibah there-fore [the] name of the city [is] Beer Sheba until the day this.

34 Als Esau 40 Jahre alt ward, heiratete er des Chittiters Beeri Tochter Judith, ebenso des Chittiters Elon Tochter Basemat.

And he was Esau a son of forty year[s] and he took a wife Judith [the] daughter of Beeri the Hittite and Basemath [the] daughter of Elon the Hittite.

35 Sie waren ein schwerer Kummer für Isaak und Rebekka.

And they were bitterness of spirit to Isaac and to Rebekah.
