Hesekiel 38

1 Das Wort des Herrn erging an mich:

And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.

2 "Du, Menschensohn! Dein Antlitz richte gegen Gog im Lande Magog, den Großfürsten von Mesech und von Tubal! Weissage gegen ihn

O son of humankind set face your to Gog [the] land of Magog [the] prince of [the] head of Meshech and Tubal and prophesy on him.

3 und sprich: So spricht der Herr, der Herr: 'Fürwahr, ich will an dich, du Gog, Großfürst von Mesech und von Tubal.

And you will say thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh here I [am] against you O Gog [the] prince of [the] head of Meshech and Tubal.

4 Ich leite dich mit Haken, die ich in deine Backen lege, und lasse dich mit deinem ganzen Heer ausziehen, mit Rossen und mit Reitern, die alle auf das herrlichste gewandet sind, wohl eine große Schar mit Schild und Wehr, und alle haben Schwerter in den Händen.

And I will turn around you and I will put hooks in jaws your and I will bring out you and all army your horses and horsemen clothed of perfection all of them a company great body shield and shield wielders of swords all of them.

5 Mit ihnen Paras, Kusch und Put, sie allesamt mit Schild und Helm,

Persia Cush and Put [will be] with them all of them shield and helmet.

6 Kimmerier und alle ihre Scharen, Togarmas Haus im hohen Norden und alle seine Scharen; gar viele Völker sind bei dir.

Gomer and all troops its Beth Togarmah [the] remotest parts of [the] north and all troops its peoples many [will be] with you.

7 Nun rüste dich und mach dich selber fertig und alle deine Scharen, die sich bei dir versammelt, und übernimm du über sie den Kriegsbefehl!

Be prepared and prepare for yourself O you and all company your that have assembled with you and you will become for them a guard.

8 Zwar wirst du erst nach vielen Tagen aufgeboten. Am Ende erst der Jahre wirst du in das Land der Schwertentronnenen und derer kommen, die aus vielen Völkern sich gesammelt auf den Bergen Israels, die wiederholt Verödung traf und die bis jetzt in tiefer Sicherheit gewohnt, nachdem sie aus den Völkern weggeführt.

From days many you will be mustered at [the] end of the years you will go - into a land - restored from [the] sword gathered together from peoples many on [the] mountains of Israel which they had become a desolation continually and it from peoples it had been brought out and they will be dwelling to security all of them.

9 Und rückst du an, kommst du dem Sturmwind gleich, bedeckst das Land wie ein Gewölke, du und alle deine Scharen, die vielen Völker, die bei dir.'

And you will go up like storm you will go like cloud [about] to cover the land you are you and all troops your and peoples many with you.

10 So spricht der Herr, der Herr: 'An jenem Tag geschieht's; da kommen Pläne dir in deinen Sinn, und eine schlimme Absicht wirst du hegen.

Thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh and it will be - on the day that they will come up words on heart your and you will plan a plan evil.

11 Du sprichst: "Einfallen will ich in das offne Land, die Friedlichen angreifen, die in Ruhe wohnen, die allesamt in Plätzen ohne Mauern wohnen, die keine Riegel, keine Pforten haben;

And you will say I will go up on a land of villages I will go those at peace [who] dwell to security all of them [are] dwelling with not a wall and bar[s] and gates not [belong] to them.

12 da will ich Beute machen, plündern." Du legst die Hand an wiederaufgebaute Trümmer und an ein Volk, das aus den Heiden ist gesammelt, das Vieh und Herden zu erwerben sich befleißt und auf dem Nabel der Erde wohnt.

To plunder plunder and to take as spoil spoil to turn hand your on waste places inhabited and against a people gathered from nations [who] have acquired livestock and possession[s] [who] dwell at [the] center of the earth.

13 Die Handelsleute von Seba, Dedan und Tarsis und alle seine Händler sprechen dann zu dir: "Kommst du zum Beutemachen, Rauben? Hast du dein Heer versammelt, um Gold und Silber fortzuschleppen, um Vieh und Herden fortzunehmen und große Beute zu erbeuten?"'

Sheba and Dedan and [the] traders of Tarshish and all young lions its they will say to you ¿ to plunder plunder [are] you coming ¿ to take as spoil spoil have you assembled company your to carry away - silver and gold to take livestock and possession[s] to plunder plunder great.

14 Drum prophezeie, Menschensohn, und sprich zu Gog: So spricht der Herr, der Herr: 'Nicht wahr, du wirst's zu jener Zeit erfahren, wenn Israel, mein Volk, ganz sicher wohnt?

Therefore prophesy O son of humankind and you will say to Gog thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh ¿ not - on the day that when dwell people my Israel to security will you know.

15 Dann wanderst du von deiner Heimat aus, dem hohen Norden, du und die vielen Völker, die bei dir. Sie reiten allesamt auf Rossen, ein großes Volk, ein starkes Heer.

And you will come from place your from [the] remotest parts of [the] north you and peoples many with you riders of horses all of them a company great and an army great.

16 Du ziehst gen Israel, mein Volk, heran und deckst das Land wie ein Gewölke. Geschehen wird's am Ende jener Tage, daß ich dich meinem Land zuführe, damit die Heiden kennenlernen, wer ich bin, wenn ich an dir vor ihren Augen, Gog, mich selbst als Heiligen erweise.'

And you will go up on people my Israel like cloud to cover the land at [the] end of the days it will happen and I will bring you on land my so as to know the nations me when I show holy myself by you to eyes their O Gog.

17 So spricht der Herr, der Herr: 'Du bist's, von dem ich redete in alten Tagen durch meine Diener, die Propheten Israels, die damals schon die Jahre prophezeiten, die ich jetzt gegen sie heranführe.

Thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh ¿ [are] you he whom I spoke in days former by [the] hand of servants my [the] prophets of Israel who prophesied in the days those years to bring you on them.

18 An jenem Tag, zur Zeit, wann Gog kommt über das Land Israel', ein Spruch des Herrn, des Herrn, 'entbrennt mein Grimm in meinem Zorne.

And it will be - on the day that on [the] day comes Gog on [the] land of Israel [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh it will rise rage my in anger my.

19 In meinem Eifer, meinem Feuergrimm verordne ich: An jenem Tage sei ein großes Beben im Lande Israel!

And in jealousy my in [the] fire of wrath my I have spoken if not - on the day that it will be an earthquake great on [the] land of Israel.

20 Vor mir erzittern dann des Meeres Fische und des Himmels Vögel, das Getier des Feldes und alles auf der Erde kriechende Gewürm und alle Menschen in dem Lande. Die Berge werden umgerissen; hinstürzen Felsensteige; zu Boden fällt jedwede Mauer.

And they will shake from before me [the] fish of the sea and [the] bird[s] of the heavens and [the] animal[s] of the field and every creeping thing which creeps on the ground and all humankind which [is] on [the] surface of the ground and they will be thrown down the mountains and they will fall the steep places and every wall to the ground it will fall.

21 Ich werde gegen ihn ein Schwert aufbieten auf allen meinen Bergen.' Ein Spruch des Herrn, des Herrn. 'Das Schwert des einen würgt den andern.

And I will summon on him to all mountains my a sword [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh [the] sword of each on brother his it will be.

22 Durch Pest und Blutvergießen streite ich mit ihm, durch Wolkenbrüche und durch Hagelsteine, und lasse Schwefelfeuer auf ihn regnen, auf ihn und seine Scharen und auf die vielen Völker, die bei ihm.

And I will enter into judgment with him by pestilence and by blood and rain overflowing and stones of hail fire and sulfur I will rain down on him and on troops his and on peoples many which [are] with him.

23 So zeige ich mich groß und heilig. So tu ich kund mich vor den Augen der Heiden, daß sie es erfahren. Ich bin der Herr.'"

And I will show myself great and I will show myself holy and I will make myself known to [the] eyes of nations many and they will know that I [am] Yahweh.
