2 Mose 23
1 Du sollst kein Luggerücht annehmen! Reiche nicht die Hand dem Schuldigen, daß du unrecht Zeugnis gäbest!
Thou schalt not resseyue a vois of leesyng, nether thou schalt ioyne thin hond, that thou seie fals witnessyng for a wickid man.
2 Du sollst nicht einer Mehrheit zum Schlechten folgen! Du sollst nicht über einen Streitfall so abstimmen, daß du dich der Mehrheit beugest und das Recht biegest!
Thou schalt not sue the cumpanye to do yuel, nether thou schalt ascente to the sentence of ful many men in doom, that thou go awey fro treuthe.
3 Den Reichen sollst du nicht in seinem Rechtsstreit beschönigen.
Also thou schalt not haue mercy of a pore man in a `cause, ethir doom.
4 Triffst du deines Feindes Rind oder Esel verlaufen an, dann sollst du sie ihm zuführen!
If thou meetist `the oxe of thin enemye, ethir the asse errynge, lede thou ayen to hym.
5 Und siehst du deines Widersachers Esel unter seiner Last erliegen und bist du fertig mit seinem Absatteln, dann sollst du mit ihm noch rasten!
If thou seest that the asse of hym that hatith thee liggyth vndir a burthun, thou schalt not passe, but thou schalt reise with hym.
6 Du sollst nicht deines Armen Recht in seinem Rechtsstreit beugen!
Thou schalt not bowe in the doom of a pore man.
7 Fern sollst du dich von lügenhafter Aussage halten! Wer ohne Schuld und im Recht ist, den bringe nicht ums Leben! Ich lasse den Schuldigen nicht ungestraft.
Thou schalt fle a lesyng. Thou schalt not sle an innocent man, and iust; for Y am aduersarie to a wickid man.
8 Du sollst kein Geschenk annehmen! Denn das Geschenk blendet Sehende und verdreht der Gerechten Sache.
Take thou not yiftis, that blynden also prudent men, and destryen the wordys of iust men.
9 Du sollst keinen Fremdling bedrücken! Ihr wißt ja selbst, wie es Fremdlingen zumute ist; ihr seid ja selbst Fremdlinge im Ägypterland gewesen!
Thou schalt not be diseseful to a pilgrym, for ye knowen the soulis of comelyngis, for also ye weren pilgryms in the lond of Egipt.
10 Sechs Jahre sollst du dein Land besäen und seine Ernte heimsen!
Sixe yeer thou schalt sowe thi lond, and thou schalt gadre fruytis therof;
11 Im siebten aber laß es brach liegen und gib es dann frei, daß deines Volkes Arme essen können! Und was sie übriglassen, soll das Tier des Feldes aufzehren! So sollst du auch mit deinem Weinberge und deinem Ölgarten tun!
forsothe in the seuenthe yeer thou schalt leeue it, and schalt make to reste, that the pore men of thi puple ete, and what euer is residue, the beestis of the feeld ete; so thou schalt do in thi vyner, and in place of olyue trees.
12 Sechs Tage sollst du deine Werke wirken! Am siebten aber sollst du feiern, damit dein Rind und dein Esel ruhe und aufatme das Kind deiner Magd und der Fremdling!
Sixe dayes thou schalt worche, in the seuenthe dai thou schalt ceesse, that thin oxe and asse reste, and the sone of thin handmaide, and the comelyng be refreischid.
13 In allem, was ich euch befehle, sollt ihr euch in acht nehmen! Der falschen Götter Namen sollt ihr nicht anrufen! Er soll aus deinem Munde nicht gehört werden!
Kepe ye alle thingis, whiche Y seide to you; and ye schulen not swere bi the name of alien goddis, nether it schal be herd of youre mouth.
14 Dreimal im Jahr sollst du mir Feste feiern!
In thre tymes bi alle yeeris ye schulen halewe feestis to me.
15 Das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote sollst du halten! Sieben Tage sollst du nur ungesäuertes Brot essen, wie ich dir geboten, zur Zeit des Neumonds im Abib. An ihm bist du aus Ägypten fortgezogen. Mein Antlitz aber soll man nicht gabenleer schauen!
Thou schalt kepe the solempnyte of therf looues; seuene daies thou schalt ete therf breed, as Y comaundide to thee, in the tyme of monethe of newe thingis, whanne thou yedist out of Egipt; thou schalt not appere voide in my siyt.
16 Und das Fest der Ernte, der Erstlinge deines Ertrages, dessen, womit den Acker du besätest, und am Jahresschluß das Fest der Lese, wenn du vom Felde deinen Ertrag erntest.
And thou schalt kepe the solempnete of the monethe of the firste thingis of thi werk, what euer thingis thou hast sowe in the feeld. Also thou schalt kepe the solempnyte in the goyng out of the yeer, whanne thou hast gaderid all thi fruytis of the feeld.
17 Dreimal im Jahre lasse sich alles Männliche bei dir vor dem Herrn, dem Herrn, sehen!
Thries in the yeer al thi male kynde schal appere bifore thi Lord God.
18 Du sollst nicht meines Opfers Blut mit Gesäuertem zusammen opfern! Nicht soll von meinen Festopfern das Fett bis zum Morgen noch da sein!
Thou schalt not offre the blood of thi slayn sacrifice on sour douy; nether the fatnesse of my solempnete schal dwelle til to the morewtid.
19 Von deines Ackers Erstlingen den ersten Abhub sollst du zum Hause des Herrn, deines Gottes, bringen! Du sollst kein Böckchen im Fett seiner Mutter braten!
Thou schalt bere the firste thingis of the fruytis of thi lond in to the hows of thi Lord God. Thou schalt not sethe a kide in the mylke of his modir.
20 Nun sende ich einen Engel vor dir her, dich auf dem Wege zu hüten und dich zur Stätte zu bringen, die ich bestimmt habe.
Lo! Y schal sende myn aungel, that schal go bifore thee, and schal kepe in the weie, and schal lede to the place which Y haue maad redi to thee.
21 Nimm dich vor ihm in acht und hör auf seine Stimme! Sei gegen ihn nicht widerspenstig! Er kann euren Frevel nicht ertragen, weil mein Name in ihm ist.
Take thou hede to hym, and here thou his vois, nether gesse thou hym to be dispisid; for he schal not foryyue, whanne thou synnest, and my name is in him.
22 Hörst du aber gehorsam auf seine Stimme und tust du alles, was ich sage, dann befeinde ich deine Feinde und dränge deine Dränger.
For if thou herest his vois, and doist alle thingis whiche Y speke, Y schal be enemy to thin enemyes, and Y schal turment hem, that turmenten thee;
23 Geht mein Engel vor dir her und bringt er dich dann zu den Amoritern und Chittitern, Perizitern, Kanaanitern, Chiwitern und den Jebusitem, die ich ausrotte,
and myn aungel schal go bifore thee, and he schal lede yn thee to Amorrei, and Ethei, and Ferezei, and Cananey, and Euey, and Jebusei, whiche Y schal breke.
24 dann sollst du nicht ihre Götter anbeten und ihnen nicht dienen! Auch sollst du keine Abbilder von ihnen machen! Du sollst sie vielmehr niederreißen und zerschmettern ihre Denksteine!
Thou schalt not onoure `the goddis of hem, nether thou schalt worschipe hem; thou schalt not do the werkis of hem, but thou schalt destrie the goddis, and thou schalt breke the ymagis of hem.
25 Dient ihr aber dem Herrn, eurem Gott, dann segnet er dein Brot und dein Wasser, und Krankheit halte ich dir ferne.
And ye schulen serue to youre Lord God, that Y blesse thi looues, and watris, and do awei sikenesse fro the myddis of thee;
26 Keine Fehlgebärende und Unfruchtbare wird in deinem Lande sein. Deiner Tage Zahl erfülle ich.
neithir a womman vnfruytful, neither bareyn, schal be in thi lond; Y schal fille the noumbre of thi daies.
27 Und mein Grauen sende ich vor dir her, und dann erschrecke ich alle Völker, zu denen du gelangst, und mache, daß vor dir alle deine Feinde fliehen.
Y schal sende my drede in to thi biforgoyng, and Y schal sle al the puple, to which thou schalt entre, and Y schal turne the backis of alle thin enemyes bifore thee;
28 Vor dir her sende ich Hornissen, und sie vertreiben vor dir Chiwiter, Kanaaniter und Chittiter.
and Y schal sende out bifore scrabrouns, that schulen dryue awei Euey, and Cananey, and Ethei, bifore that thou entre.
29 Aber nicht in einem Jahre will ich sie vor dir vertreiben, sonst würde das Land zur Wüste, und die wilden Tiere nähmen zu deinem Schaden überhand.
Y schal not caste hem out fro thi face in o yeer, lest the lond be turned in to wildirnesse, and beestis encreesse ayens thee;
30 Nach und nach vertreibe ich sie vor dir, bis du zahlreich wirst und dann das Land besetzen kannst.
litil and litil I schal caste hem out fro thi siyt, til thou be encreessid, and welde the loond.
31 Und ich stecke dir die Gebiete vom Schilfmeer bis zum Philistermeer und von der Wüste bis zum Strome ab. Denn ich gebe in eure Hand des Landes Einwohner, daß du sie vor dir vertreibest.
Forsothe Y schal sette thi termys fro the reed see til to the see of Palestyns, and fro desert til to the flood. Y schal yyue to youre hondis the dwelleris of the lond, and Y schal caste hem out fro youre siyt;
32 Du darfst keinen Bund mit ihnen und ihren Göttern schließen.
thou schalt not make boond of pees with hem, nethir with `the goddis of hem.
33 Sie dürfen nicht in deinem Lande bleiben, daß sie dich nicht zur Sünde gegen mich verleiten. Denn dientest du ihren Göttern, so würde dir dies zum Falle.
Dwelle thei not in thi lond, lest perauenture thei make thee to do synne ayens me, yf thou seruest her goddis, which thing certis schal be to thee in to sclaundir.
