Kolosser 1

1 Paulus, Apostel Christi Jesu durch den Willen Gottes, und Timotheus, der Bruder,

Paul, an apostle of Meshikha Yeshua through the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

2 an die heiligen und christusgläubigen Brüder zu Kolossae. Gnade werde euch zuteil und Friede von Gott, unserem Vater und dem Herrn Jesus Christus.

to the saints and faithful brothers in Meshikha at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

3 Wir danken Gott und dem Vater unseres Herrn Jesus Christus allezeit, wenn wir für euch beten.

We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Yeshua Meshikha, praying always for you,

4 Wir hörten ja von eurem Glauben in Christus Jesus sowie von eurer Liebe gegen alle Heiligen.

having heard of your faith in Meshikha Yeshua, and of the love which you have toward all the saints,

5 Ihr übet diese um der Hoffnung willen, die für euch in den Himmeln hinterlegt ist, von der ihr schon durch das wahre Wort des Evangeliums vernommen habt.

because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of truth, the Good News,

6 Dieses ist ja auch zu euch gelangt, wie es in der ganzen Welt zu finden ist und Früchte trägt und wächst, wie bei euch von dem Tage an, da ihr es gehört und Gottes Gnade in Wahrheit erkannt habt,

which has come to you; even as it is in all the world and is bearing fruit and growing, as it does in you also, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

7 Sowie ihr von unserem lieben Mitknecht Epaphras unterrichtet worden seid. Er ist für euch ein treuer Diener Christi;

even as you learned of Epaphras our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful servant of Meshikha on our behalf,

8 er ist es auch, der uns von eurer Liebe im Geiste berichtet hat.

who also declared to us your love in the Rukha.

9 So hören wir auch seit dem Tage, da wir dies vernommen haben, nicht auf, für euch zu beten und zu flehen, ihr möchtet voll Erkenntnis seines Willens werden in aller Weisheit und in geistigem Verständnis;

For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, do not cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

10 ihr möchtet dann in allen guten Werken Früchte bringen und so durch die Erkenntnis Gottes wachsen,

that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 mit aller Kraft begabt, entsprechend seiner so erhabenen Macht. Dann werdet ihr alles mit Geduld und Langmut ertragen

strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy;

12 und auch dem Vater freudig dafür danken, daß er uns fähig machte, am Erbe seiner Heiligen im Lichte teilzunehmen.

giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light;

13 Er hat uns der Gewalt der Finsternis entrissen und in das Reich seines vielgeliebten Sohnes versetzt.

who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and transferred us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love;

14 In ihm haben wir Erlösung durch sein Blut, die Nachlassung der Sünden.

in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins;

15 Er ist das Abbild des unsichtbaren Gottes, der Erstgeborene vor aller Schöpfung;

who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

16 denn in ihm ist alles erschaffen, was in den Himmeln und auf Erden ist, das Sichtbare und das Unsichtbare, seien es nun Throne oder Herrschaften oder Mächte oder Kräfte. Das alles ist durch ihn und für ihn erschaffen;

For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things have been created by him and for him.

17 er selber ist jedoch vor allem, und alles hat in ihm Bestand.

He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.

18 Er ist das Haupt des Leibes, der Kirche; er ist der Anfang und der Erstgeborene von den Toten, um so den Vorrang in allem zu besitzen.

He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

19 Und Gott gefiel es, daß die ganze Fülle in ihm wohne,

For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him,

20 und er durch ihn das All auf ihn hin versöhne, was auf Erden und im Himmel ist, indem er durch sein Blut am Kreuze Frieden stiftete.

and through him to reconcile all things to himself, making peace through the blood of his cross through him, whether things on the earth or things in heaven.

21 Auch euch, die ihr einst Gott entfremdet, ihm feindlich gesinnt wart durch eure bösen Werke,

You, who once were alienated and were hostile in your minds, doing evil deeds,

22 hat er in seinem Fleischesleib jetzt durch den Tod versöhnt, um euch heilig, fehlerlos, untadelig vor ihm darzustellen.

yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and blameless before him,

23 Doch müsset ihr im Glauben unverrückbar fest gegründet sein und dürfet von der Hoffnung des Evangeliums nicht lassen. Ihr habt es vernommen; es ist ja in der ganzen Schöpfung unterm Himmel schon verkündet worden, und ich, Paulus, ward sein Diener.

if it is so that you continue in the faith, established and firm, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven; of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

24 So freue ich mich der Leiden für euch, und ich ergänze an meinem Leibe für seinen Leib, die Kirche, was den Leiden Christi mangelt.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and I am completing in my flesh what is lacking in the sufferings of Meshikha for the sake of his body, which is the church;

25 Ich ward ihr Diener kraft des Amtes, das mir Gott zu eurem Nutzen übertragen hat. Ich sollte Gottes Wort durchweg verkünden,

of which I was made a servant, according to the stewardship of God which was given me toward you, to fulfill the word of God,

26 das Geheimnis, das seit Zeit und Ewigkeit verborgen war, jetzt aber seinen Heiligen geoffenbart worden ist. (aiōn g165)

the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his saints. (aiōn g165)

27 Gott wollte ihnen zu wissen tun, wie wunderreich dieses Geheimnis bei den Heiden ist: Christus in euch als Hoffnung der Verklärung.

To them God was pleased to make known the glorious riches of this mystery among the non-Jews, which is Meshikha in you, the hope of glory;

28 Ihn künden wir, indem wir jeden Menschen mahnen, in aller Weisheit jeden Menschen lehren, um so jeden in Christus vollendet darzustellen.

whom we proclaim, admonishing everyone and teaching everyone all wisdom, that we may present everyone perfect in Meshikha Yeshua;

29 Dafür nun leide ich und streite ich in seiner Kraft, die mächtig in mir wirkt.

for which I also labor, struggling according to his power, which works in me mightily.
