1 Elisäus aber sprach zu dem Weib, dessen Sohn er lebendig gemacht hatte: "Auf! Zieh mit deinem Hause fort und weile, wo du weilen magst! Denn der Herr ruft eine Hungersnot herbei, und sie kommt für sieben Jahre ins Land."

and Elisha to speak: speak to(wards) [the] woman which to live [obj] son: child her to/for to say to arise: rise and to go: went (you(f. s.) *Q(K)*) and house: household your and to sojourn in/on/with in which to sojourn for to call: call to LORD to/for famine and also to come (in): come to(wards) [the] land: country/planet seven year

2 Da machte sich das Weib auf und tat nach des Gottesmannes Wort. Sie zog mit ihrem Hause von dannen und weilte sieben Jahre im Philisterland.

and to arise: rise [the] woman and to make: do like/as word man [the] God and to go: went he/she/it and house: household her and to sojourn in/on/with land: country/planet Philistine seven year

3 Nach sieben Jahren kehrte das Weib aus dem Philisterland zurück. Da ging sie, den König wegen ihres Hauses und Feldes anzurufen.

and to be from end seven year and to return: return [the] woman from land: country/planet Philistine and to come out: come to/for to cry to(wards) [the] king to(wards) house: home her and to(wards) land: country her

4 Der König sprach gerade zu Gechazi, dem Diener des Gottesmannes: "Erzähle mir all die Großtaten, die Elisäus getan hat!"

and [the] king to speak: speak to(wards) Gehazi youth man [the] God to/for to say to recount [emph?] please to/for me [obj] all [the] great: large which to make: do Elisha

5 Gerade erzählte er dem König, wie er den Toten lebendig gemacht hatte, da kam das Weib, dessen Sohn er lebendig gemacht hatte, um den König wegen ihres Hauses und Feldes anzurufen. Da sprach Gechazi: "Mein Herr, König! Dies ist das Weib und dies sein Sohn, den Elisäus lebendig gemacht hat."

6 Da befragte der König das Weib, und sie erzählte es ihm. Da gab ihr der König einen Kämmerer mit und befahl: "Verschaffe ihr all das Ihrige und den ganzen Feldertrag von dem Tage an, da sie das Land verlassen hat, bis heute!"

7 Elisäus kam nun nach Damaskus; Arams König Benhadad aber war gerade krank. Ihm wurde gemeldet: "Der Gottesmann ist hierher gekommen."

8 Da sprach der König zu Chazael: "Nimm ein Geschenk mit! Geh dem Gottesmann entgegen und befrage durch ihn den Herrn, ob ich von meiner Krankheit genese!"

and to say [the] king to(wards) Hazael to take: take in/on/with hand: themselves your offering: gift and to go: went to/for to encounter: meet man [the] God and to seek [obj] LORD from [obj] him to/for to say to live from sickness this

9 Chazael ging ihm entgegen. Und er nahm ein Geschenk mit, allerlei Köstliches aus Damaskus, vierzig Kamellasten. So kam er, trat vor ihn und sprach: "Dein Sohn, Arams König Benhadad, schickt mich zu dir und fragt: 'Werde ich von dieser Krankheit genesen?'"

10 Da sprach Elisäus zu ihm: "Geh und sage ihm: 'Du wirst genesen!' Der Herr aber hat mich sehen lassen, daß er sterben werde."

and to say to(wards) him Elisha to go: went to say (to/for him *Q(K)*) to live to live and to see: see me LORD for to die to die

11 Er aber verzog keine Miene und lehnte lange Zeit auf seinem Stab. Da weinte der Gottesmann.

and to stand: stand [obj] face his and to set: consider till be ashamed and to weep man [the] God

12 Chazael fragte: "Warum weinst du, mein Herr?" Er sprach: "Weil ich weiß, was du Israels Söhnen Böses tun wirst. Du wirst ihre festen Städte in Brand stecken, ihre Jungmannschaft mit dem Schwerte töten, ihre Kindlein zerschmettern und ihre werdenden Mütter aufschlitzen."

and to say Hazael why? lord my to weep and to say for to know [obj] which to make: do to/for son: descendant/people Israel distress: evil fortification their to send: burn in/on/with fire and youth their in/on/with sword to kill and infant their to dash in pieces and pregnant their to break up/open

13 Da sprach Chazael: "Was ist denn dein Sklave, der Hund, daß er dies Gewaltige tun sollte?" Da sprach Elisäus: "Der Herr hat dich mir als König von Aram gezeigt."

and to say Hazael for what? servant/slave your [the] dog for to make: do [the] word: thing [the] great: large [the] this and to say Elisha to see: see me LORD [obj] you king upon Syria

14 Er ging nun von Elisäus weg und kam zu seinem Herrn. Dieser fragte ihn: "Was hat dir Elisäus gesagt?" Er hat mir gesagt: "Du wirst genesen."

and to go: went from with Elisha and to come (in): come to(wards) lord his and to say to/for him what? to say to/for you Elisha and to say to say to/for me to live to live

15 Am anderen Morgen aber nahm er einen Schleier, tauchte ihn in Wasser und breitete ihn über sein Gesicht, und er starb. So ward Chazael König an seiner Statt.

16 Im fünften Jahre des Achabsohnes Joram, des Königs von Israel - Josaphat, Judas König, war gestorben -, ward des Judakönigs Josaphat Sohn, Joram, König.

17 Er war zweiunddreißig Jahre alt, als er König wurde, und regierte acht Jahre in Jerusalem.

18 Er wandelte auf dem Weg der Könige Israels, wie die vom Achabshaus getan. Denn er hatte eine Tochter Achabs zum Weibe. So tat er, was dem Herrn mißfiel.

19 Aber der Herr wollte Juda um seines Dieners David willen nicht vernichten, wie er ihm verheißen hatte, daß er ihm und seinen Söhnen allzeit eine Leuchte lasse.

20 In seinen Tagen war Edom von Judas Botmäßigkeit abgefallen; es gab sich einen König.

21 Da zog Joram nach Sair Mit all seinen Wagen. Er erhob sich des Nachts und schlug die Edomiter, die ihn umzingelt hatten, samt den Wagenobersten, und das Volk floh zu seinen Zelten.

22 Aber Edom fiel doch von Juda ab, bis auf diesen Tag. Damals fiel zu gleicher Zeit auch Libna ab.

and to transgress Edom from underneath: owning hand: owner Judah till [the] day: today [the] this then to transgress Libnah in/on/with time [the] he/she/it

23 Ist nicht der Rest der Geschichte Jorams und alles, was er sonst getan, im Geschichtsbuch der Könige von Juda aufgeschrieben?

24 Als sich Joram zu seinen Vätern legte, ward er bei seinen Ahnen in der Davidsstadt begraben, und sein Sohn Achazja ward an seiner Statt König.

25 Im zwölften Jahr des Achabsohnes und Israelkönigs Joram ward des Judakönigs Joram Sohn, Achazja, König.

26 Achazja war zweiundzwanzig Jahre alt, als er König wurde, und regierte ein Jahr in Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Atalja. Sie war eine Enkelin des israelitischen Königs Omri.

27 Er wandelte auf des Achabhauses Weg und tat, was dem Herrn mißfiel, wie das Haus Achabs; denn er war mit dem Hause Achabs verschwägert.

28 Er zog nun mit dem Achabsohne Joram gegen Arams König Chazael bei Ramot im Gilead zu Felde. Aber die Aramäer verwundeten Joram.

and to go: went with Joram son: child Ahab to/for battle with Hazael king Syria in/on/with Ramoth (Ramoth)-gilead and to smite Syrian [obj] Joram

29 Da kehrte der König Joram heim, um sich in Jezreel von den Wunden zu heilen, die ihm die Aramäer in Rama geschlagen hatten, als er mit Arams König Chazael kämpfte. Nun ging der Judakönig Achazja, Jorams Sohn, hinab, den Achabsohn Joram in Jezreel zu besuchen, weil er krank war.
