1 Als Salomo mit dem Bau des Hauses des Herrn und des königlichen Hauses und mit jedem Plane, den Salomo auszuführen wünschte, fertig war,

2 erschien der Herr dem Salomo zum zweitenmal, wie er ihm zu Gibeon erschienen war.

the Lord apperide to Salomon the secunde tyme, as he apperide to hym in Gabaon.

3 Und der Herr sprach zu ihm: "Dein Flehgebet, das du vor mich gebracht, das habe ich gehört. Ich heilige dieses Haus, das du mir erbaut hast, um meinen Namen hier für immer sein zu lassen. Hier weilen meine Augen und mein Herz für immer.

And the Lord seide to hym, Y haue herd thi preier, and thi bisechyng, which thou bisouytist bifor me; Y haue halewid this hows, which thou bildidist, that Y schulde sette there my name with outen ende; and myn iyen and myn herte schulen be there in alle daies.

4 Und wandelst du vor mir so, wie dein Vater David einst gewandelt, in Herzenseinfalt und in Redlichkeit, und tust du, wie ich dir geboten, befolgst du meine Vorschriften und Satzungen,

Also if thou goist bifore me, as thi fadir yede, in simplenesse of herte, and in equite, and doist alle thingis whiche Y comaundide to thee, and kepist my domes, and my lawful thingis,

5 dann stelle ich für immer über Israel deines Königtums Thron so, wie ich deinem Vater David einst verheißen: 'Dir soll es auf Israels Thron nie an einem Manne fehlen.'

Y schal sette the trone of thi rewme on Israel with outen ende, as Y spak to Dauid, thi fadir, and seide, A man of thi kyn schal not be takun awei fro the trone of Israel.

6 Doch fallt ihr und eure Söhne von mir ab, befolgt ihr nicht meine Vorschriften und Satzungen, die ich euch vorlege, und geht ihr hin und dienet anderen Göttern, sie anbetend,

Forsothe if bi turnyng awei ye and youre sones turnen awey, and suen not me, and kepen not myn hestis and cerymonyes, whiche Y settide forth to you, but ye goen, and worschipen alien goddis, and onouren hem `bi outward reuerence,

7 dann tilge ich Israel vom Boden, den ich ihnen einst gegeben, verwerfe dann das Haus, das meinem Namen geweiht, von meinem Angesicht. Zum Sprichwort und zum Hohn wird Israel bei allen Völkern.

Y schal do awei Israel fro the face of the lond which Y yaue to hem; and Y schal caste awei fro my siyt the temple, which Y halewid to my name; and Israel schal be in to a prouerbe and in to a fable, to alle puplis.

8 Dies Haus wird umgestürzt. Wer daran vorüberzieht, entsetzt sich darob und zischt darüber. Und fragt man: 'Warum tat diesem Land und diesem Hause so der Herr?',

And this hows schal be in to ensaumple of Goddis offence; ech man that schal passe bi it, schal wondre, and schal hisse, and schal seye, Whi hath the Lord do thus to this lond, and to this hows?

9 dann wird man sagen: 'Weil sie ihren Gott und Herrn verlassen, der ihre Väter aus Ägypten weggeführt, und sich an andere Götter halten, sie anbeten und ihnen dienen, drum hat der Herr all dieses Unheil über sie gebracht.'"

And thei schulen answere, For thei forsoken her Lord God, that ladde the fadris of hem out of Egipt; and thei sueden alien goddis, and worschipiden hem, and onouriden hem; therfor the Lord brouyte in on hem al this yuel.

10 Volle zwanzig Jahre hatte Salomo an den beiden Häusern gebaut, an dem Hause des Herrn und an dem königlichen Hause.

11 Chiram, der König von Tyrus, hatte Salomo mit Zedern- und Zypressenbalken und Gold unterstützt, soviel er wünschte. Damals gab der König Salomo dem Chiram zwanzig Städte in dem Landstrich Galiläa.

12 Und Chiram kam von Tyrus, die Städte zu besichtigen, die ihm Salomo gegeben hatte. Aber sie gefielen ihm nicht.

And Hiram yede out of Tyre that he schulde se the citees, whiche Salomon hadde youe to hym, and tho plesiden not hym;

13 Und er sprach: "Was sollen diese Städte, die du mir gegeben hast, mein Bruder?" So nannte man sie "Land Kabul" bis auf diesen Tag.

and he seide, Whethir thes ben the citees, whiche thou, brother, hast youe to me? And he clepide tho citees the lond of Chabul, `til in to this dai.

14 Chiram aber sandte dem König hundertzwanzig Talente Gold.

Also Hiram sente to king Salomon sixe score talentis of gold.

15 Und so verhielt es sich mit der Fron, die der König Salomo erhob, um das Haus des Herrn zu bauen, sein Haus, die Bastei und die Mauern Jerusalems, sowie Chasor, Megiddo und Gezer.

This is the summe of `costis, which summe Salomon the kyng yaf to bilde the hows of the Lord, and his house Mello, and the wal of Jerusalem, and Ezer, and Maggeddo, and Gazer.

16 Der Pharao, Ägyptens König, war nämlich heraufgezogen, hatte Gezer erobert und eingeäschert, die kanaanitischen Bewohner der Stadt niedergemetzelt und diese dem Weibe Salomos, seiner Tochter, als Mitgift gegeben.

17 Salomo baute nun Gezer wieder auf, ebenso das untere Betchoron,

Therfor Salomon bildide Gazer, and the lower Bethoron,

18 Baalat, Tamar in der bewohnten Steppe,

and Balaath, and Palmyra in the lond of wildirnesse;

19 ferner alle Vorratsstädte Salomos, die Wagenstädte, die Rossestädte und was Salomo sonst noch geplant, zu Jerusalem und auf dem Libanon, überhaupt im ganzen Bereiche seiner Herrschaft zu bauen.

and he made strong alle the townes, that perteyneden to hym, and weren with out wal, and the citees of chaaris, and the citees of knyytis, and what euer thing pleside hym to bilde in Jerusalem, and in the Liban, and in al the lond of his power.

20 Alles Volk, das übrig war von den Amoritem, Chittitern, Perizzitern, Chiwitern und Jebusitern, die nicht zu den Israeliten gehörten,

Salomon made tributaries `til to this dai al the puple, that lefte of Ammorreis, Etheis, and Fereseis, and Eueys, and Jebuseys, that ben not of the sones of Israel,

21 ihre Kinder, die nach ihnen im Land waren und die die Israeliten nicht auszurotten vermochten, hob Salomo zum Frondienste aus bis auf diesen Tag.

the sones of these hethen men, that dwelliden in the lond, that is, whiche the sones of Israel myyten not distrye.

22 Von den Israeliten aber machte Salomo niemand zum Sklaven. Sie waren seine Krieger, Diener, Obersten und Wagenkämpfer und die Befehlshaber über seine Wagen und Reiter.

23 Es waren 550 Oberste über den Vögten, die über Salomos Werk gesetzt waren und die das Volk beaufsichtigten, das am Werk arbeitete.

24 Kaum war Pharaos Tochter aus der Davidsstadt in ihr Haus gezogen, das er ihr gebaut hatte, so baute er die Bastei.

25 Salomo opferte dreimal im Jahre Brand- und Mahlopfer auf dem Altar, den er dem Herrn gebaut hatte. Auch brachte er Räucherwerk auf ihm dar, der vor dem Herrn stand. Auch besserte er das Haus aus.

Also Salomon offride in thre tymes bi alle yeeris brent sacrifices and pesible sacrifices, on the auter which he hadde bildid to the Lord; and he brente encense bifor the Lord, and the temple was performed.

26 Auch Schiffe ließ der König Salomo anfertigen in Esiongeber bei Elot am Ufer des Schilfmeeres im Lande Edom.

Also king Salomon made `o schip in Asiongaber, which is bisidis Haila, in the brenke of the Reed sea, and in the lond of Idumee.

27 Und Chiram schickte zu Schiff seine Diener, meerkundige Schiffsleute, zusammen mit Salomos Dienern.

And Iram sente in that schip hise seruauntis, schipmen, and kunnynge of the see, with the seruauntis of Salomon;

28 Sie kamen nach Ophir und holten von dort 420 Talente Gold und brachten es dem König Salomo.

and whanne thei hadden come in to Ophir, thei brouyten fro thennus gold of foure hundrid and twenti talentis to kyng Salomon.
