Psalm 98

1 Ein Psalm. Singet Jehova ein neues Lied! Denn er hat Wunder getan; Rettung hat ihm verschafft seine Rechte und sein heiliger Arm.

“A psalm.” Sing to the LORD a new song; For he hath done marvellous things; His own right hand and his holy arm have gotten him the victory!

2 Jehova hat kundgetan seine Rettung, vor den Augen der Nationen geoffenbart seine Gerechtigkeit.

The LORD hath made known his salvation; His righteousness hath he manifested in the sight of the nations.

3 Er hat seiner Güte und seiner Treue gedacht dem Hause Israel; alle Enden der Erde haben die Rettung unseres Gottes gesehen.

He hath remembered his mercy and truth toward the house of Israel, And all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Jauchzet Jehova, ganze Erde! Brechet in Jubel aus und singet Psalmen!

Shout unto the LORD, all the earth! Break forth into joy, and exult, and sing!

5 Singet Psalmen Jehova mit der Laute mit der Laute und der Stimme des Gesanges!

Sing to the LORD with the harp, With the harp, and the voice of song!

6 Mit Trompeten und dem Schall der Posaune jauchzet vor dem König Jehova!

With clarions, and the sound of trumpets, Make a joyful noise before the LORD the King!

7 Es brause das Meer und seine Fülle, der Erdkreis und die darauf wohnen!

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein;

8 Mögen die Ströme in die Hände klatschen, mögen jubeln die Berge allzumal-

Let the rivers clap their hands, And the mountains rejoice together

9 vor Jehova! Denn er kommt, die Erde zu richten: Er wird den Erdkreis richten in Gerechtigkeit und die Völker in Geradheit.

Before the LORD! for he cometh to judge the earth! With righteousness will he judge the world, And the nations with equity.
