Psalm 9
1 Dem Vorsänger, nach Muth Labben. Ein Psalm von David. Ich will Jehova preisen mit meinem ganzen Herzen, will erzählen alle deine Wundertaten.
“To the chief musician upon Muthlabben, a psalm of David.” I will thank the Lord with all my heart: I will relate all thy marvelous deeds.
2 In dir will ich mich freuen und frohlocken, will deinen Namen besingen, o Höchster!
I will rejoice and exult in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High:
3 Als meine Feinde sich zurückwandten, strauchelten sie und kamen um vor deinem Angesicht.
When my enemies are turned backward, [when] they fall and perish at thy presence.
4 Denn du hast ausgeführt mein Recht und meine Rechtssache; du hast dich auf den Thron gesetzt, ein gerechter Richter.
For thou hast conducted my dispute and my cause; thou hast sat on the throne as a righteous judge.
5 Du hast die Nationen gescholten, den Gesetzlosen vertilgt; ihren Namen hast du ausgelöscht für immer und ewig; -
Thou hast rebuked nations, thou hast caused the wicked to perish, their name hast thou blotted out for ever and ever.
6 O Feind! Zu Ende sind die Trümmer für immer; auch hast du Städte zerstört: ihr, ja, ihr Gedächtnis ist verschwunden.
O thou enemy, the ruins are passed away for ever, and the cities which thou hast destroyed, —lost is their memorial, yea, theirs.
7 Jehova aber thront ewiglich; er hat seinen Thron aufgestellt zum Gericht.
But the Lord will sit enthroned for ever: he hath established for giving judgment his throne.
8 Und er, er wird den Erdkreis richten in Gerechtigkeit, wird über die Völkerschaften Gericht halten in Geradheit.
And he will judge the world with righteousness, he shall decide for the people, with equity.
9 Und Jehova wird eine hohe Feste sein dem Unterdrückten, eine hohe Feste in Zeiten der Drangsal.
The Lord also will be a strong-hold for the oppressed, a strong-hold in times of distress.
10 Und auf dich werden vertrauen, die deinen Namen kennen; denn du hast nicht verlassen, die dich suchen, Jehova.
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; for thou hast not forsaken those that seek thee, O Lord.
11 Singet Psalmen Jehova, der Zion bewohnt, verkündet unter den Völkern seine Taten!
Sing praises to the Lord, who dwelleth in Zion: announce among the people his deeds.
12 Denn der dem vergossenen Blute nachforscht, hat ihrer gedacht; er hat das Schreien der Elenden nicht vergessen.
For he, that inquireth after acts of blood, hath remembered them: he hath not forgotten the cry of the afflicted.
13 Sei mir gnädig, Jehova! Sieh an mein Elend von seiten meiner Hasser, indem du mich emporhebst aus den Toren des Todes;
Be gracious unto me, O Lord; have regard to my affliction [coming] from those that hate me, thou who liftest me up from the gates of death:
14 auf daß ich all dein Lob erzähle in den Toren der Tochter Zion, frohlocke über deine Rettung.
In order that I may relate all thy praises in the gates of the daughters of Zion: I will be glad in thy salvation.
15 Versunken sind die Nationen in die Grube, die sie gemacht; ihr Fuß ward gefangen in dem Netze, das sie heimlich gelegt haben.
Sunk are nations in the ditch that they have prepared: in this net which they had laid in secret is their own foot caught.
16 Jehova ist bekannt geworden: er hat Gericht ausgeübt, indem er den Gesetzlosen verstrickt hat in dem Werke seiner Hände. (Higgajon, Sela)
The Lord is made known: he executed justice: through the doing of his own hands is the wicked ensnared. Higgayon, (Selah)
17 Es werden zum Scheol umkehren die Gesetzlosen, alle Nationen, die Gottes vergessen. (Sheol h7585)
The wicked shall return into hell, all the nations that are forgetful of God. (Sheol h7585)
18 Denn nicht für immer wird der Arme vergessen sein, noch für ewig verloren die Hoffnung der Sanftmütigen.
For not everlastingly shall the needy be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
19 Stehe auf, Jehova! Nicht habe der Mensch die Oberhand; vor deinem Angesicht mögen gerichtet werden die Nationen!
Arise, O Lord; let not the mortal boast of his strength; let nations be judged before thy face.
20 Lege Furcht auf sie, Jehova; mögen die Nationen wissen, daß sie Menschen sind! (Sela)
Place, O Lord, fear over them: let nations know, that they are but mortals. (Selah)
