Psalm 32
1 Von David. Ein Maskil. Glückselig der, dessen Übertretung vergeben, dessen Sünde zugedeckt ist!
A psalm of David. How happy are those whose wrongs are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
2 Glückselig der Mensch, dem Jehova die Ungerechtigkeit nicht zurechnet, und in dessen Geist kein Trug ist!
How happy are those whose sins the Lord does not count against them, those who do not act deceptively.
3 Als ich schwieg, verzehrten sich meine Gebeine durch mein Gestöhn den ganzen Tag.
When I kept quiet, my body fell apart as I groaned in distress all day long.
4 Denn Tag und Nacht lastete auf mir deine Hand; verwandelt ward mein Saft in Sommerdürre. (Sela)
You beat me day and night, my strength dried up as in the heat of summer. (Selah)
5 Ich tat dir kund meine Sünde und habe meine Ungerechtigkeit nicht zugedeckt. Ich sagte: Ich will Jehova meine Übertretungen bekennen; und du, du hast vergeben die Ungerechtigkeit meiner Sünde. (Sela)
Then I confessed my sins to you. I did not hide the wrongs I had done. I said to myself, “I will confess my disobedience to the Lord,” and you forgave the guilt of my sins. (Selah)
6 Deshalb wird jeder Fromme zu dir beten, zur Zeit, wo du zu finden bist; gewiß, bei Flut großer Wasser, ihn werden sie nicht erreichen.
Therefore let all who are faithful pray to you while there's time, so when trouble comes in like a flood it will not overwhelm them.
7 Du bist ein Bergungsort für mich; vor Bedrängnis behütest du mich; du umgibst mich mit Rettungsjubel. (Sela)
For you are my refuge, you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of salvation. (Selah)
8 Ich will dich unterweisen und dich lehren den Weg, den du wandeln sollst; mein Auge auf dich richtend, will ich dir raten.
“I will instruct you, teaching you the way to follow. I will advise you, watching out for you.
9 Seid nicht wie ein Roß, wie ein Maultier, das keinen Verstand hat; mit Zaum und Zügel, ihrem Schmucke, mußt du sie bändigen, sonst nahen sie dir nicht.
You mustn't be like a horse or a mule that doesn't know which way to go without a bit or a bridle. Otherwise they can't be controlled.”
10 Viele Schmerzen hat der Gesetzlose; wer aber auf Jehova vertraut, den wird Güte umgeben.
The wicked have many problems, but those who trust in the Lord will be surrounded by his never-failing love.
11 Freuet euch in Jehova und frohlocket, ihr Gerechten, und jubelt, alle ihr von Herzen Aufrichtigen!
So be happy in the Lord and celebrate, you who do good. Shout for joy, all you who live right!
