Psalm 29

1 Ein Psalm; von David. Gebet Jehova, ihr Söhne der Starken, gebet Jehova Herrlichkeit und Stärke!

A Psalme of David. Give vnto the Lord, ye sonnes of the mightie: giue vnto the Lord glorie and strength.

2 Gebet Jehova die Herrlichkeit seines Namens; betet Jehova an in heiliger Pracht!

Giue vnto the Lord glorie due vnto his Name: worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuarie.

3 Die Stimme Jehovas ist auf den Wassern; der Gott der Herrlichkeit donnert, Jehova auf großen Wassern.

The voyce of the Lord is vpon the waters: the God of glorie maketh it to thunder: the Lord is vpon the great waters.

4 Die Stimme Jehovas ist gewaltig, die Stimme Jehovas ist majestätisch.

The voyce of the Lord is mightie: the voyce of the Lord is glorious.

5 Die Stimme Jehovas zerbricht Zedern, ja, Jehova zerbricht die Zedern des Libanon;

The voyce of the Lord breaketh the cedars: yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

6 und er macht sie hüpfen wie ein Kalb, den Libanon und Sirjon wie einen jungen Wildochsen.

He maketh them also to leape like a calfe: Lebanon also and Shirion like a yong vnicorne.

7 Die Stimme Jehovas sprüht Feuerflammen aus;

The voice of the Lord deuideth the flames of sire.

8 Die Stimme Jehovas erschüttert die Wüste, Jehova erschüttert die Wüste Kades.

The voice of the Lord maketh the wildernes to tremble: the Lord maketh the wildernes of Kadesh to tremble.

9 Die Stimme Jehovas macht Hindinnen kreißen, und entblößt die Wälder; und in seinem Tempel spricht alles: Herrlichkeit!

The voice of the Lord maketh the hindes to calue, and discouereth the forests: therefore in his Temple doth euery man speake of his glory.

10 Jehova thront auf der Wasserflut, und Jehova thront als König ewiglich.

The Lord sitteth vpon the flood, and the Lord doeth remaine King for euer.

11 Jehova wird Stärke geben seinem Volke, Jehova wird sein Volk segnen mit Frieden.

The Lord shall giue strength vnto his people: the Lord shall blesse his people with peace.
