Psalm 130

1 Ein Stufenlied. Aus den Tiefen rufe ich zu dir, Jehova!

Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Jehovah.

2 Herr, höre auf meine Stimme! Laß deine Ohren aufmerksam sein auf die Stimme meines Flehens!

Lord, hear my voice. Let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3 Wenn du, Jehova, merkst auf die Ungerechtigkeiten: Herr, wer wird bestehen?

If thou, Jehovah, should note iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

4 Doch bei dir ist Vergebung, damit du gefürchtet werdest.

But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou may be feared.

5 Ich warte auf Jehova, meine Seele wartet; und auf sein Wort harre ich.

I wait for Jehovah. My soul waits, and in his word do I hope,

6 Meine Seele harrt auf den Herrn, mehr als die Wächter auf den Morgen, die Wächter auf den Morgen.

my soul for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, watchmen for the morning.

7 Harre, Israel, auf Jehova! Denn bei Jehova ist die Güte, und viel Erlösung bei ihm.

O Israel, hope in Jehovah, for with Jehovah there is loving kindness, and with him is plentiful redemption.

8 Und er, er wird Israel erlösen von allen seinen Ungerechtigkeiten.

And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
