Psalm 118
1 Preiset Jehova! Denn er ist gut, denn seine Güte währt ewiglich.
'O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.'
2 Es sage doch Israel: denn seine Güte währt ewiglich.
So let Israel now say, for His mercy endureth for ever,
3 Es sage doch das Haus Aaron: denn seine Güte währt ewiglich.
So let the house of Aaron now say, for His mercy endureth for ever.
4 Es sagen doch, die Jehova fürchten: denn seine Güte währt ewiglich.
So let them now that fear the LORD say, for His mercy endureth for ever.
5 Aus der Bedrängnis rief ich zu Jah; Jah erhörte mich und setzte mich in einen weiten Raum.
Out of my straits I called upon the LORD; He answered me with great enlargement.
6 Jehova ist für mich, ich werde mich nicht fürchten; was sollte der Mensch mir tun?
The LORD is for me; I will not fear; what can man do unto me?
7 Jehova ist für mich unter meinen Helfern, und ich werde meine Lust sehen an meinen Hassern.
The LORD is for me as my helper; and I shall gaze upon them that hate me.
8 Es ist besser, auf Jehova zu trauen, als sich zu verlassen auf den Menschen.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.
9 Es ist besser, auf Jehova zu trauen, als sich zu verlassen auf Fürsten.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.
10 Alle Nationen hatten mich umringt; gewiß, im Namen Jehovas vertilgte ich sie.
All nations compass me about; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
11 Sie hatten mich umringt, ja, mich umringt; gewiß, im Namen Jehovas vertilgte ich sie.
They compass me about, yea, they compass me about; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
12 Sie hatten mich umringt wie Bienen; sie sind erloschen wie Dornenfeuer; gewiß, im Namen Jehovas vertilgte ich sie.
They compass me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
13 Hart hast du mich gestoßen, um mich zu Fall zu bringen; aber Jehova hat mir geholfen.
Thou didst thrust sore at me that I might fall; but the LORD helped me.
14 Meine Stärke und mein Gesang ist Jah, und er ist mir zur Rettung geworden.
The LORD is my strength and song; and He is become my salvation.
15 Die Stimme des Jubels und der Rettung ist in den Zelten der Gerechten; die Rechte Jehovas tut mächtige Taten.
The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
16 Die Rechte Jehovas ist erhoben, die Rechte Jehovas tut mächtige Taten.
The right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
17 Ich werde nicht sterben, sondern leben und die Taten Jahs erzählen.
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
18 Hart hat mich Jah gezüchtigt, aber dem Tode hat er mich nicht übergeben.
The LORD hath chastened me sore; but He hath not given me over unto death.
19 Öffnet mir die Tore der Gerechtigkeit: ich will durch sie eingehen, Jah will ich preisen.
Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter into them, I will give thanks unto the LORD.
20 Dies ist das Tor Jehovas: Die Gerechten werden durch dasselbe eingehen.
This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous shall enter into it.
21 Ich will dich preisen, denn du hast mich erhört und bist mir zur Rettung geworden.
I will give thanks unto Thee, for Thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation.
22 Der Stein, den die Bauleute verworfen haben, ist zum Eckstein geworden.
The stone which the builders rejected is become the chief corner-stone.
23 Von Jehova ist dies geschehen; wunderbar ist es in unseren Augen.
This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
24 Dies ist der Tag, den Jehova gemacht hat; frohlocken wir und freuen wir uns in ihm.
This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Bitte, Jehova, rette doch! Bitte, Jehova, gib doch Wohlfahrt!
We beseech Thee, O LORD, save now! We beseech Thee, O LORD, make us now to prosper!
26 Gesegnet, der da kommt im Namen Jehovas! Von dem Hause Jehovas aus haben wir euch gesegnet.
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD; we bless you out of the house of the LORD.
27 Jehova ist Gott, und er hat uns Licht gegeben; bindet das Festopfer mit Stricken bis an die Hörner des Altars.
The LORD is God, and hath given us light; order the festival procession with boughs, even unto the horns of the altar.
28 Du bist mein Gott, und ich will dich preisen; mein Gott, ich will dich erheben.
Thou art my God, and I will give thanks unto Thee; Thou art my God, I will exalt Thee.
29 Preiset Jehova! Denn er ist gut, denn seine Güte währt ewiglich.
O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.
