4 Mose 1

1 Und Jehova redete zu Mose in der Wüste Sinai im Zelte der Zusammenkunft, am Ersten des zweiten Monats, im zweiten Jahre nach ihrem Auszuge aus dem Lande Ägypten und sprach:

The LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

2 Nehmet auf die Summe der ganzen Gemeinde der Kinder Israel nach ihren Geschlechtern, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, alle Männlichen nach ihren Köpfen;

"Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one;

3 von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeden, der zum Heere auszieht in Israel, die sollt ihr mustern nach ihren Heeren, du und Aaron.

from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their divisions.

4 Und je ein Mann für den Stamm soll bei euch sein, ein Mann, der das Haupt von seinem Vaterhause ist.

With you there shall be a man of every tribe; everyone head of his fathers' house.

5 Und dies sind die Namen der Männer, die euch beistehen sollen: für Ruben: Elizur, der Sohn Schedeurs;

These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.

6 für Simeon: Schelumiel, der Sohn Zurischaddais;

Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

7 für Juda: Nachschon, der Sohn Amminadabs;

Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

8 für Issaschar: Nethaneel, der Sohn Zuars;

Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.

9 für Sebulon: Eliab, der Sohn Helons;

Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon.

10 für die Söhne Josephs: für Ephraim: Elischama, der Sohn Ammihuds; für Manasse: Gamliel, der Sohn Pedazurs;

Of the sons of Joseph: Of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud. Of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

11 für Benjamin: Abidan, der Sohn Gideonis;

Of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni.

12 für Dan: Achieser, der Sohn Ammischaddais;

Of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

13 für Aser: Pagiel, der Sohn Okrans;

Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran.

14 für Gad: Eljasaph, der Sohn Deghuels;

Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Reuel.

15 für Naphtali: Achira, der Sohn Enans.

Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan."

16 Das waren die Berufenen der Gemeinde, die Fürsten der Stämme ihrer Väter; sie waren die Häupter der Tausende Israels.

These are those who were called of the congregation, the leaders of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.

17 Und Mose und Aaron nahmen diese mit Namen bezeichneten Männer,

Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name.

18 und sie versammelten die ganze Gemeinde am ersten des zweiten Monats. Und sie ließen sich in die Geburtsverzeichnisse eintragen nach ihren Geschlechtern, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, nach ihren Köpfen;

They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one.

19 wie Jehova dem Mose geboten hatte. Und so musterte er sie in der Wüste Sinai.

As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

20 Und es waren die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, nach ihren Köpfen, alle Männlichen von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Now the descendants of Reuben, Israel's firstborn, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

21 ihre Gemusterten vom Stamme Ruben, sechsundvierzigtausend fünfhundert.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand five hundred.

22 Von den Söhnen Simeons: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, seine Gemusterten nach der Zahl der Namen, nach ihren Köpfen, alle Männlichen von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Of the descendants of Simeon, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, those who were numbered of it, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

23 ihre Gemusterten vom Stamme Simeon, neunundfünfzigtausend dreihundert.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.

24 Von den Söhnen Gads: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Of the descendants of Gad, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

25 ihre Gemusterten vom Stamme Gad, fünfundvierzigtausend sechshundertfünfzig.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.

26 Von den Söhnen Judas: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Of the descendants of Judah, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

27 ihre Gemusterten vom Stamme Juda, vierundsiebzigtausend sechshundert.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Judah, were sixty-four thousand six hundred.

28 Von den Söhnen Issaschars: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Of the descendants of Issachar, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

29 ihre Gemusterten vom Stamme Issaschar, vierundfünfzigtausend vierhundert.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty-four thousand four hundred.

30 Von den Söhnen Sebulons: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Of the descendants of Zebulun, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

31 die Gemusterten vom Stamme Sebulon, siebenundfünfzigtausend vierhundert.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.

32 Von den Söhnen Josephs: von den Söhnen Ephraims: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Of the sons of Joseph, of the descendants of Ephraim, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

33 ihre Gemusterten vom Stamme Ephraim, vierzigtausend fünfhundert.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand five hundred.

34 Von den Söhnen Manasses: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Of the descendants of Manasseh, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

35 ihre Gemusterten vom Stamme Manasse, zweiunddreißigtausend zweihundert.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.

36 Von den Söhnen Benjamins: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Of the descendants of Benjamin, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

37 ihre Gemusterten vom Stamme Benjamin, fünfunddreißigtausend vierhundert.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty-five thousand four hundred.

38 Von den Söhnen Dans: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Of the descendants of Dan, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war;

39 ihre Gemusterten vom Stamme Dan, zweiundsechzigtausend siebenhundert.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.

40 Von den Söhnen Asers: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Of the descendants of Asher, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war;

41 ihre Gemusterten vom Stamme Aser, einundvierzigtausend fünfhundert.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand five hundred.

42 Die Söhne Naphtalis: ihre Geschlechter nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach der Zahl der Namen, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog,

Of the descendants of Naphtali, their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war;

43 ihre Gemusterten vom Stamme Naphtali, dreiundfünfzigtausend vierhundert.

those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.

44 Das sind die Gemusterten, welche Mose und Aaron und die Fürsten Israels musterten, die zwölf Männer: es waren je ein Mann für sein Vaterhaus.

These are those who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the leaders of Israel, being twelve men; each representing his fathers' house.

45 Und es waren alle Gemusterten der Kinder Israel, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, jeder, der zum Heere auszog in Israel:

So all those who were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers' houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel;

46 es waren alle die Gemusterten sechshundertunddreitausend fünfhundertfünfzig.

even all those who were numbered were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

47 Aber die Leviten nach dem Stamme ihrer Väter wurden nicht unter ihnen gemustert.

But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

48 Denn Jehova hatte zu Mose geredet und gesagt:

For the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

49 Nur den Stamm Levi sollst du nicht mustern und ihre Summe nicht aufnehmen unter den Kindern Israel,

"Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, neither shall you take a census of them among the children of Israel;

50 sondern bestelle du die Leviten über die Wohnung des Zeugnisses und über all ihr Gerät und über alles, was zu ihr gehört: Sie sollen die Wohnung und all ihr Gerät tragen, und sie sollen sie bedienen und sich rings um die Wohnung lagern.

but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle, and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall camp around it.

51 Und wenn die Wohnung aufbricht, sollen die Leviten sie abnehmen; und wenn die Wohnung sich lagert, sollen die Leviten sie aufrichten. Der Fremde aber, der herzunaht, soll getötet werden.

When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The unauthorized person who comes near shall be put to death.

52 Und die Kinder Israel sollen sich lagern, ein jeder in seinem Lager und ein jeder bei seinem Panier, nach ihren Heeren.

The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.

53 Die Leviten aber sollen sich rings um die Wohnung des Zeugnisses lagern, daß nicht ein Zorn über die Gemeinde der Kinder Israel komme; und die Leviten sollen der Hut der Wohnung des Zeugnisses warten.

But the Levites shall camp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony."

54 Und die Kinder Israel taten nach allem was Jehova dem Mose geboten hatte; also taten sie.

Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so they did.
