Matthaeus 8
1 Als er aber von dem Berge herabgestiegen war, folgten ihm große Volksmengen.
When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
2 Und siehe, ein Aussätziger kam herzu und warf sich vor ihm nieder und sprach: Herr, wenn du willst, kannst du mich reinigen.
Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
3 Und er streckte seine Hand aus, rührte ihn an und sprach: Ich will; sei gereinigt! Und alsbald wurde sein Aussatz gereinigt.
Yeshua [Salvation] stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately his tzara'at ·leprosy· was cleansed.
4 Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Siehe, sage es niemand; sondern gehe hin, zeige dich dem Priester, und bringe die Gabe dar, die Moses angeordnet hat, ihnen zum Zeugnis.
Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “See that you tell nobody, but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses [Drawn out] commanded, as a testimony to them.”
5 Als er aber in Kapernaum eintrat, kam ein Hauptmann zu ihm, der ihn bat und sprach:
When he came into Capernaum [Village-Comfort, Village-Compassion], a centurion came to him, asking him,
6 Herr, mein Knecht liegt zu Hause gelähmt und wird schrecklich gequält.
and saying, “Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented.”
7 Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Ich will kommen und ihn heilen.
Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
8 Der Hauptmann aber antwortete und sprach: Herr, ich bin nicht würdig, daß du unter mein Dach tretest; sondern sprich nur ein Wort, und mein Knecht wird gesund werden.
The centurion answered, “Lord, I’m not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
9 Denn auch ich bin ein Mensch unter Gewalt und habe Kriegsknechte unter mir; und ich sage zu diesem: Gehe hin, und er geht; und zu einem anderen: Komm, und er kommt; und zu meinem Knechte: Tue dieses, und er tut's.
For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and tell another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and tell my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 Als aber Jesus es hörte, verwunderte er sich und sprach zu denen, welche nachfolgten: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, selbst nicht in Israel habe ich so großen Glauben gefunden.
When Yeshua [Salvation] heard it, he marveled, and said to those who followed, “Most certainly I tell you, I haven’t found so great a trusting faith, not even in Israel [God prevails].
11 Ich sage euch aber, daß viele von Osten und Westen kommen und mit Abraham und Isaak und Jakob zu Tische liegen werden in dem Reiche der Himmel,
I tell you that many will come from the east and the west, and will sit down with Abraham [Father of a multitude], Isaac [Laughter], and Jacob [Supplanter] in the Kingdom of Heaven (God),
12 aber die Söhne des Reiches werden hinausgeworfen werden in die äußere Finsternis: da wird sein das Weinen und das Zähneknirschen.
but the children of the Kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13 Und Jesus sprach zu dem Hauptmann: Gehe hin, und dir geschehe, wie du geglaubt hast. Und sein Knecht wurde gesund in jener Stunde.
Yeshua [Salvation] said to the centurion, “Go your way. Let it be done for you as you have trusted.” His servant was healed in that hour.
14 Und als Jesus in das Haus des Petrus gekommen war, sah er dessen Schwiegermutter fieberkrank daniederliegen.
When Yeshua [Salvation] came into Peter [Rock]’s house, he saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever.
15 Und er rührte ihre Hand an, und das Fieber verließ sie; und sie stand auf und diente ihm.
He touched her hand, and the fever left her. She got up and served him.
16 Als es aber Abend geworden war, brachten sie viele Besessene zu ihm; und er trieb die Geister aus mit einem Worte, und er heilte alle Leidenden,
When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick;
17 damit erfüllt würde, was durch den Propheten Jesaias geredet ist, welcher spricht: “Er selbst nahm unsere Schwachheiten und trug unsere Krankheiten.”
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah [Salvation of Yah] the prophet, saying, “He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.”
18 Als aber Jesus eine große Volksmenge um sich sah, befahl er, an das jenseitige Ufer hinwegzufahren.
Now when Yeshua [Salvation] saw great multitudes around him, he gave the order to depart to the other side.
19 Und ein Schriftgelehrter kam herzu und sprach zu ihm: Lehrer, ich will dir nachfolgen, wohin irgend du gehst.
A scribe came, and said to him, “Rabbi ·Teacher·, I will follow you wherever you go.”
20 Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Die Füchse haben Höhlen, und die Vögel des Himmels Nester, aber der Sohn des Menschen hat nicht, wo er das Haupt hinlege.
Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
21 Ein anderer aber von seinen Jüngern sprach zu ihm: Herr, erlaube mir, zuvor hinzugehen und meinen Vater zu begraben.
Another of his disciples said to him, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”
22 Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Folge mir nach, und laß die Toten ihre Toten begraben.
But Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”
23 Und als er in das Schiff gestiegen war, folgten ihm seine Jünger.
When he got into a boat, his disciples followed him.
24 Und siehe, es erhob sich ein großes Ungestüm auf dem See, so daß das Schiff von den Wellen bedeckt wurde; er aber schlief.
Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep.
25 Und die Jünger traten hinzu, weckten ihn auf und sprachen: Herr, rette uns, wir kommen um!
They came to him, and woke him up, saying, “Save us, Lord! We are dying!”
26 Und er spricht zu ihnen: Was seid ihr furchtsam, Kleingläubige? Dann stand er auf und bedrohte die Winde und den See; und es ward eine große Stille.
He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little trusting faith?” Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 Die Menschen aber verwunderten sich und sprachen: Was für einer ist dieser, daß auch die Winde und der See ihm gehorchen?
The men marveled, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
28 Und als er an das jenseitige Ufer gekommen war, in das Land der Gergesener, begegneten ihm zwei Besessene, die aus den Grüften hervorkamen, sehr wütend, so daß niemand jenes Weges vorbeizugehen vermochte.
When he came to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two people possessed by demons met him there, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that nobody could pass that way.
29 Und siehe, sie schrieen und sprachen: Was haben wir mit dir zu schaffen, Sohn Gottes? Bist du hierhergekommen, vor der Zeit uns zu quälen?
Behold, they cried out, saying, “What do we have to do with you, Yeshua [Salvation], Ben-Elohim ·Son of Elohim God·? Have you come here to torment us before the time?”
30 Es war aber fern von ihnen eine Herde vieler Schweine, welche weidete.
Now there was a herd of many pigs feeding far away from them.
31 Die Dämonen aber baten ihn und sprachen: Wenn du uns austreibst, so sende uns in die Herde Schweine.
The demons begged him, saying, “If you cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of pigs.”
32 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Gehet hin. Sie aber fuhren aus und fuhren in die [Herde] Schweine. Und siehe, die ganze Herde [Schweine] stürzte sich den Abhang hinab in den See, und sie kamen um in dem Gewässer.
He said to them, “Go!” They came out, and went into the herd of pigs: and behold, the whole herd of pigs rushed down the cliff into the sea, and died in the water.
33 Die Hüter aber flohen und gingen in die Stadt und verkündeten alles und das von den Besessenen.
Those who fed them fled, and went away into the city, and told everything, including what happened to those who were possessed with demons.
34 Und siehe, die ganze Stadt ging hinaus, Jesu entgegen, und als sie ihn sahen, baten sie, daß er aus ihren Grenzen weggehen möchte. -
Behold, all the city came out to meet Yeshua [Salvation]. When they saw him, they begged that he would depart from their borders.
