Matthaeus 25
1 Alsdann wird das Reich der Himmel gleich geworden sein zehn Jungfrauen, welche ihre Lampen nahmen und ausgingen, dem Bräutigam entgegen.
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 Fünf aber von ihnen waren klug und fünf töricht.
And five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
3 Die, welche töricht waren, nahmen ihre Lampen und nahmen kein Öl mit sich;
For the foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them:
4 die Klugen aber nahmen Öl in ihren Gefäßen mit ihren Lampen.
but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 Als aber der Bräutigam verzog, wurden sie alle schläfrig und schliefen ein.
Now while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 Um Mitternacht aber entstand ein Geschrei: Siehe, der Bräutigam! Gehet aus, ihm entgegen!
But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him.
7 Da standen alle jene Jungfrauen auf und schmückten ihre Lampen.
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 Die Törichten aber sprachen zu den Klugen: Gebet uns von eurem Öl, denn unsere Lampen erlöschen.
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out.
9 Die Klugen aber antworteten und sagten: Nicht also, damit es nicht etwa für uns und euch nicht ausreiche; gehet lieber hin zu den Verkäufern und kaufet für euch selbst.
But the wise answered, saying, Peradventure there will not be enough for us and you: go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 Als sie aber hingingen zu kaufen, kam der Bräutigam, und die bereit waren, gingen mit ihm ein zur Hochzeit; und die Tür ward verschlossen.
And while they went away to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage feast: and the door was shut.
11 Später aber kommen auch die übrigen Jungfrauen und sagen: Herr, Herr, tue uns auf!
Afterward come also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 Er aber antwortete und sprach: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, ich kenne euch nicht.
But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 So wachet nun, denn ihr wisset weder den Tag noch die Stunde.
Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour.
14 Denn gleichwie ein Mensch, der außer Landes reiste, seine eigenen Knechte rief und ihnen seine Habe übergab: und einem gab er fünf Talente,
For [it is] as [when] a man, going into another country, called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 einem anderen zwei, einem anderen eins, einem jeden nach seiner eigenen Fähigkeit; und alsbald reiste er außer Landes.
And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his several ability; and he went on his journey.
16 Der die fünf Talente empfangen hatte, ging aber hin und handelte mit denselben und gewann andere fünf Talente.
Straightway he that received the five talents went and traded with them, and made other five talents.
17 Desgleichen auch, der die zwei empfangen hatte, auch er gewann andere zwei.
In like manner he also that [received] the two gained other two.
18 Der aber das eine empfangen hatte, ging hin, grub in die Erde und verbarg das Geld seines Herrn.
But he that received the one went away and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.
19 Nach langer Zeit aber kommt der Herr jener Knechte und hält Rechnung mit ihnen.
Now after a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and maketh a reckoning with them.
20 Und es trat herzu, der die fünf Talente empfangen hatte, und brachte andere fünf Talente und sagte: Herr, fünf Talente hast du mir übergeben, siehe, andere fünf Talente habe ich zu denselben gewonnen.
And he that received the five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: lo, I have gained other five talents.
21 Sein Herr sprach zu ihm: Wohl, du guter und treuer Knecht! Über weniges warst du treu, über vieles werde ich dich setzen; gehe ein in die Freude deines Herrn.
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 Es trat aber auch herzu, der die zwei Talente empfangen hatte, und sprach: Herr, zwei Talente hast du mir übergeben; siehe, andere zwei Talente habe ich zu denselben gewonnen.
And he also that [received] the two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: lo, I have gained other two talents.
23 Sein Herr sprach zu ihm: Wohl, du guter und treuer Knecht! Über weniges warst du treu, über vieles werde ich dich setzen; gehe ein in die Freude deines Herrn.
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Es trat aber auch herzu, der das eine Talent empfangen hatte, und sprach: Herr, ich kannte dich, daß du ein harter Mann bist: du erntest, wo du nicht gesät, und sammelst, wo du nicht ausgestreut hast;
And he also that had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou didst not sow, and gathering where thou didst not scatter:
25 und ich fürchtete mich und ging hin und verbarg dein Talent in der Erde; siehe, da hast du das Deine.
and I was afraid, and went away and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, thou hast thine own.
26 Sein Herr aber antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Böser und fauler Knecht! Du wußtest, daß ich ernte, wo ich nicht gesät, und sammle, wo ich nicht ausgestreut habe?
But his lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I did not scatter;
27 So solltest du nun mein Geld den Wechslern gegeben haben, und wenn ich kam, hätte ich das Meine mit Zinsen erhalten.
thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back mine own with interest.
28 Nehmet nun das Talent von ihm und gebet es dem, der sie zehn Talente hat;
Take ye away therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him that hath the ten talents.
29 denn jedem, der da hat, wird gegeben werden, und er wird Überfluß haben; von dem aber, der nicht hat, von dem wird selbst, was er hat, weggenommen werden.
For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away.
30 Und den unnützen Knecht werfet hinaus in die äußere Finsternis: da wird sein das Weinen und das Zähneknirschen.
And cast ye out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and gnashing of teeth.
31 Wenn aber der Sohn des Menschen kommen wird in seiner Herrlichkeit, und alle Engel mit ihm, dann wird er auf seinem Throne der Herrlichkeit sitzen;
But when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory:
32 und vor ihm werden versammelt werden alle Nationen, und er wird sie voneinander scheiden, gleichwie der Hirt die Schafe von den Böcken scheidet.
and before him shall be gathered all the nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats:
33 Und er wird die Schafe zu seiner Rechten stellen, die Böcke aber zur Linken.
and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Dann wird der König zu denen zu seiner Rechten sagen: Kommet her, Gesegnete meines Vaters, ererbet das Reich, das euch bereitet ist von Grundlegung der Welt an;
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 denn mich hungerte, und ihr gabet mir zu essen; mich dürstete, und ihr tränktet mich; ich war Fremdling, und ihr nahmet mich auf;
for I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in;
36 nackt, und ihr bekleidetet mich; ich war krank, und ihr besuchtet mich; ich war im Gefängnis, und ihr kamet zu mir.
naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Alsdann werden die Gerechten ihm antworten und sagen: Herr, wann sahen wir dich hungrig und speisten dich? Oder durstig und tränkten dich?
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or athirst, and gave thee drink?
38 Wann aber sahen wir dich als Fremdling, und nahmen dich auf? Oder nackt und bekleideten dich?
And when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Wann aber sahen wir dich krank oder im Gefängnis und kamen zu dir?
And when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 Und der König wird antworten und zu ihnen sagen: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, insofern ihr es einem der geringsten dieser meiner Brüder getan habt, habt ihr es mir getan.
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, [even] these least, ye did it unto me.
41 Dann wird er auch zu denen zur Linken sagen: Gehet von mir, Verfluchte, in das ewige Feuer, das bereitet ist dem Teufel und seinen Engeln; (aiōnios g166)
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels: (aiōnios g166)
42 denn mich hungerte, und ihr gabet mir nicht zu essen; mich dürstete, und ihr tränktet mich nicht;
for I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 ich war Fremdling, und ihr nahmet mich nicht auf; nackt, und ihr bekleidetet mich nicht; krank und im Gefängnis, und ihr besuchtet mich nicht.
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Dann werden auch sie antworten und sagen: Herr, wann sahen wir dich hungrig, oder durstig, oder als Fremdling, oder nackt, oder krank, oder im Gefängnis, und haben dir nicht gedient?
Then shall they also answer, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Dann wird er ihnen antworten und sagen: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, insofern ihr es einem dieser Geringsten nicht getan habt, habt ihr es auch mir nicht getan.
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of these least, ye did it not unto me.
