Jesaja 3
1 Denn siehe, der Herr, Jehova der Heerscharen, nimmt von Jerusalem und von Juda Stütze und Unterstützung hinweg, jede Stütze des Brotes und jede Stütze des Wassers;
For, behold, the Lord, the Eternal of hosts, doth remove from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, every stay of bread, and every stay of water.
2 Held und Kriegsmann, Richter und Prophet und Wahrsager und Ältesten;
The hero, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
3 den Obersten über fünfzig und den Angesehenen und den Rat, und den geschickten Künstler und den Zauberkundigen.
The captain of fifty, and the honorable man, and the counsellor, and the skilful artificer, and the eloquent orator.
4 Und ich werde Jünglinge zu ihren Fürsten machen, und Buben sollen über sie herrschen.
And I will set up boys as their princes, and children shall rule over them.
5 Und das Volk wird sich gegenseitig bedrücken, der eine den anderen, und ein jeder seinen Nächsten; der Knabe wird frech auftreten gegen den Greis, und der Verachtete gegen den Geehrten.
And so shall the people press man against man, and one against the other: the boy shall demean himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honorable.
6 Wenn jemand seinen Bruder in seines Vaters Hause ergreift und sagt: Du hast ein Kleid, unser Vorsteher sollst du sein; und dieser Einsturz sei unter deiner Hand!
When a man will seize hold on his brother in the house of his father, [saying, ] Thou hast a garment, thou shalt be our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:
7 so wird er an jenem Tage seine Stimme erheben und sagen: Ich kann kein Wundarzt sein; ist doch in meinem Hause weder Brot noch Kleid: machet mich nicht zum Vorsteher des Volkes. -
He will swear on that day, saying, I will not be a chief; and in my house is neither bread nor clothing; you shall not appoint me a ruler of the people.
8 Denn Jerusalem ist gestürzt und Juda gefallen, weil ihre Zunge und ihre Taten wider Jehova sind, um zu trotzen den Augen seiner Herrlichkeit.
For Jerusalem is sunk to decay, and Judah is fallen; because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to incense the eyes of his glory.
9 Der Ausdruck ihres Angesichts zeugt wider sie; und von ihrer Sünde sprechen sie offen wie Sodom, sie verhehlen sie nicht. Wehe ihrer Seele! Denn sich selbst bereiten sie Böses.
The boldness of their face testifieth against them; and like Sodom they tell openly their sin, they conceal it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have prepared evil unto themselves.
10 Saget vom Gerechten, daß es ihm wohlgehen wird; denn die Frucht ihrer Handlungen werden sie genießen.
Say ye to the righteous, that he hath done well; for the fruit of their doings shall they eat.
11 Wehe dem Gesetzlosen! Es wird ihm übelgehen; denn das Tun seiner Hände wird ihm angetan werden.
Woe unto the wicked who doeth evil; for the recompense of his hands shall be bestowed on him.
12 Mein Volk, seine Bedrücker sind Buben, und Weiber herrschen über dasselbe. Mein Volk, deine Leiter führen irre, und den Weg deiner Pfade haben sie dir entrückt.
My people! their oppressors are children, and women rule over them. O my people! thy leaders cause thee to err, and the direction of thy paths they corrupt.
13 Jehova steht da, um zu rechten; und er tritt auf, um die Völker zu richten.
The Lord is stepped forth to plead, and standeth up to judge the people.
14 Jehova wird ins Gericht gehen mit den Ältesten seines Volkes und dessen Fürsten: Und ihr, ihr habt den Weinberg abgeweidet, der Raub des Elenden ist in euren Häusern;
The Lord will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and their princes; but ye—ye have eaten up the vineyard; the plunder of the poor is in your houses.
15 was habt ihr, daß ihr mein Volk zertretet und das Angesicht der Elenden zermalmet? spricht der Herr, Jehova der Heerscharen.
What mean ye that ye crush my people, and grind down the faces of the poor? saith the Lord the Eternal of hosts.
16 Und Jehova sprach: Weil die Töchter Zions hoffärtig sind, und einhergehen mit gerecktem Halse und blinzelnden Augen, und trippelnd einhergehen und mit ihren Fußspangen klirren:
And the Lord said, Forasmuch as the daughters of Zion are proud, and walk with stretched forth necks and casting about their eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
17 so wird der Herr den Scheitel der Töchter Zions kahl machen, und Jehova ihre Scham entblößen.
Therefore will the Lord smite with leprosy the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will lay open their nakedness.
18 An jenem Tage wird der Herr wegnehmen den Schmuck der Fußspangen und der Stirnbänder und der Halbmonde;
On that day will the Lord take away the beauty of their tinkling shoe-buckles, and the hair-nets, and the crescent-shaped ornaments,
19 die Ohrgehänge und die Armketten und die Schleier;
The drops, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
20 die Kopfbunde und die Schrittkettchen und die Gürtel und die Riechfläschchen und die Amulette;
The bonnets, and the foot-chains, and the head-bands, and the tablets, and the earrings,
21 die Fingerringe und die Nasenringe;
The finger-rings, and nose-jewels,
22 die Prachtkleider und die Oberröcke und die Umhänge und die Beutel;
The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the shawls, and the pockets.
23 die Handspiegel und die Hemden und die Turbane und die Überwürfe.
The mirrors, and the chemisettes, and the turbans, and the long vails.
24 Und es wird geschehen, statt des Wohlgeruchs wird Moder sein, und statt des Gürtels ein Strick, und statt des Lockenwerks eine Glatze, und statt des Prunkgewandes ein Kittel von Sacktuch, Brandmal statt Schönheit.
And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be corruption; and instead of a girdle a rope; and instead of curled hair baldness; and instead of a wide garment a girding of sackcloth, a mark of burning instead of beauty.
25 Deine Männer werden durchs Schwert fallen, und deine Helden im Kriege.
Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty ones in the war.
26 Und ihre Tore werden klagen und trauern, und ausgeleert wird sie sein, sich zur Erde niedersetzen.
And then shall her gates lament and mourn; and stript of all shall she sit upon the ground.
