1 Mose 29
1 Und Jakob erhob seine Füße und ging nach dem Lande der Kinder des Ostens.
Then Iacob lyfte vp his fete and wet toward the east countre.
2 Und er sah: und siehe, ein Brunnen auf dem Felde; und siehe, daselbst waren drei Herden Schafe an demselben gelagert, denn aus diesem Brunnen tränkte man die Herden; und der Stein auf der Öffnung des Brunnens war groß.
And as he loked aboute behold there was a well in the feld and. iij. flockes of shepe laye therby (for at that well were the flockes watered) and there laye a great stone at the well mouth
3 Und waren alle Herden dort zusammengetrieben, so wälzte man den Stein von der Öffnung des Brunnens und tränkte die Schafe; und man brachte den Stein wieder auf die Öffnung des Brunnens an seinen Ort.
And the maner was to brynge the flockes thyther and to roull the stone fro the welles mouth and to water the shepe and to put the stone agayne vppon the wells mouth vnto his place.
4 Und Jakob sprach zu ihnen: Meine Brüder, woher seid ihr? Und sie sprachen: Wir sind von Haran.
And Iacob sayde vnto the: brethern whece be ye? and they sayde: of Haran ar we.
5 Da sprach er zu ihnen: Kennet ihr Laban, den Sohn Nahors? Und sie sprachen: Wir kennen ihn.
And he sayde vnto the: knowe ye Laban the sonne of Nahor. And they sayde: we knowe him.
6 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Geht es ihm wohl? Und sie sprachen: Es geht ihm wohl; und siehe, da kommt seine Tochter Rahel mit den Schafen.
And he sayde vnto the: is he in good health? And they sayde: he is in good health: and boholde his doughter Rahel cometh with ye shepe.
7 Da sprach er: Siehe, es ist noch hoch am Tage, es ist nicht Zeit, das Vieh zusammenzutreiben; tränket die Schafe und gehet hin, weidet.
And he sayde: lo it is yet a great whyle to nyghte nether is it tyme yt the catell shulde be gathered together: water the shepe and goo and fede the.
8 Und sie sprachen: Wir können nicht, bis alle Herden zusammengetrieben werden; dann wälzt man den Stein von der Öffnung des Brunnens, und wir tränken die Schafe.
And they sayde: we maye not vntill all ye flockes be brought together and the stone be roulled fro the wells mouth and so we water oure shepe.
9 Noch redete er mit ihnen, da kam Rahel mit den Schafen, die ihrem Vater gehörten; denn sie war eine Hirtin.
Whyle he yet talked with the Rahel came with hir fathers shepe for she kepte them.
10 Und es geschah, als Jakob die Rahel sah, die Tochter Labans, des Bruders seiner Mutter, und die Schafe Labans, des Bruders seiner Mutter, da trat Jakob hinzu und wälzte den Stein von der Öffnung des Brunnens und tränkte die Schafe Labans, des Bruders seiner Mutter.
As soone As Iacob sawe Rahel the doughter of Laban his mothers brother and the shepe of Laban his mothers brother he went and rowled the stone fro the wells mouth and watered the shepe of Laba his mothers brother
11 Und Jakob küßte Rahel und erhob seine Stimme und weinte.
And Iacob kyssed Rahel and lyfte vp his voyce and wepte:
12 Und Jakob tat Rahel kund, daß er ein Bruder ihres Vaters und daß er der Sohn Rebekkas wäre; und sie lief und berichtete es ihrem Vater.
and tolde her also yt he was hir fathers brother and Rebeccas sonne. The Rahel ranne and tolde hir father.
13 Und es geschah, als Laban die Kunde von Jakob, dem Sohne seiner Schwester, hörte, da lief er ihm entgegen und umarmte ihn und küßte ihn und führte ihn in sein Haus; und er erzählte dem Laban alle diese Dinge.
When Laban herd tell of Iacob his sisters sonne he ranne agaynst him and embraced hi and kyssed him ad broughte him in to his house. And the Iacob told Laba all ye matter
14 Und Laban sprach zu ihm: Fürwahr, du bist mein Bein und mein Fleisch. Und er blieb bei ihm einen Monat lang.
And the Laba sayde: well thou art my bone and my flesh. Abyde with me the space of a moneth.
15 Und Laban sprach zu Jakob: Solltest du mir darum, weil du mein Bruder bist, umsonst dienen? Tue mir kund, was soll dein Lohn sein?
And afterward Laban sayd vnto Iacob: though thou be my brother shuldest thou therfore serue me for nought? tell me what shall thi wages be?
16 Und Laban hatte zwei Töchter; der Name der älteren war Lea und der Name der jüngeren Rahel.
And Laban had. ij. doughters the eldest called Lea and the yongest Rahel.
17 Und die Augen der Lea waren blöde; Rahel aber war schön von Gestalt und schön von Angesicht.
Lea was tender eyed: But Rahel was bewtifull ad well fauored.
18 Und Jakob liebte Rahel und sprach: Ich will dir sieben Jahre dienen um Rahel, deine jüngere Tochter.
And Iacob loued her well and sayde: I will serue the. vij. yere for Rahel thy yongest doughter.
19 Und Laban sprach: Es ist besser, ich gebe sie dir, als daß ich sie einem anderen Manne gebe; bleibe bei mir.
And Laban answered: it is better yt I geue her the than to another man? byde therfore with me.
20 Und Jakob diente um Rahel sieben Jahre; und sie waren in seinen Augen wie einzelne Tage, weil er sie liebte.
And Iacob serued. vij. yeres for Rahel and they semed vnto him but a fewe dayes for the loue he had to her.
21 Und Jakob sprach zu Laban: Gib mir mein Weib; denn meine Tage sind erfüllt, daß ich zu ihr eingehe.
And Iacob sayde vnto Laban geue me my wife that I maye lye with hir for the tyme appoynted me is come.
22 Und Laban versammelte alle Männer des Ortes und machte ein Mahl.
Than Laban bade all the men of that place and made a feast.
23 Und es geschah am Abend, da nahm er seine Tochter Lea und brachte sie zu ihm; und er ging zu ihr ein.
And when eue was come he toke Lea his doughter and broughte her to him and he went in vnto her.
24 Und Laban gab seine Magd Silpa seiner Tochter Lea zur Magd.
And Laban gaue vnto his doughter Lea Zilpha his mayde to be hir seruaunte.
25 Und es geschah am Morgen, siehe, da war es Lea. Da sprach er zu Laban: Was hast du mir da angetan! Habe ich nicht um Rahel bei dir gedient? Und warum hast du mich betrogen?
And when the mornynge was come beholde it was Lea. Than sayde he to Laban: wherfore hast thou played thus with me? dyd not I serue the for Rahel wherfore than hast thou begyled me?
26 Und Laban sprach: Es geschieht nicht also an unserem Orte, die Jüngere vor der Erstgeborenen zu geben.
Laban answered: it is not the maner of this place to marke the yongest before the eldest.
27 Vollende die Woche mit dieser, so wollen wir dir auch jene geben, um den Dienst, den du bei mir dienen sollst noch andere sieben Jahre.
Passe out this weke and tha shall this also be geuen the for ye seruyce which thou shalt serue me yet. vij. yeres more.
28 Und Jakob tat also und vollendete die Woche mit dieser; und er gab ihm seine Tochter Rahel zum Weibe.
And Iacob dyd eue so and passed out that weke and than he gaue hi Rahel his doughter to wyfe also.
29 Und Laban gab seiner Tochter Rahel seine Magd Bilha zur Magd.
And Laban gaue to Rahel his doughter Bilha his handmayde to be hir servaute.
30 Und er ging auch zu Rahel ein; und er liebte auch Rahel mehr als Lea. Und er diente bei ihm noch andere sieben Jahre.
So laye he by Rahel also and loued Rahel more than Lea and serued him yet. vij. yeres more.
31 Und als Jehova sah, daß Lea gehaßt war, da öffnete er ihren Mutterleib; Rahel aber war unfruchtbar.
When the LORde sawe that Lea was despised he made her frutefull: but Rahel was baren.
32 Und Lea ward schwanger und gebar einen Sohn, und sie gab ihm den Namen Ruben, denn sie sprach: Weil Jehova mein Elend angesehen hat; denn nun wird mein Mann mich lieben.
And Lea conceaued and bare a sonne ad called his name Rube for she sayde: the LORde hath loked apon my tribulation. And now my husbonde will loue me.
33 Und sie ward wiederum schwanger und gebar einen Sohn; und sie sprach: Weil Jehova gehört hat, daß ich gehaßt bin, so hat er mir auch diesen gegeben. Und sie gab ihm den Namen Simeon.
And she conceaued agayne and bare a sonne and sayde: the LORde hath herde that I am despised ad hath therfore geuen me this sonne also and she called him Simeon.
34 Und sie ward wiederum schwanger und gebar einen Sohn; und sie sprach: Nun, diesmal wird sich mein Mann an mich anschließen, denn ich habe ihm drei Söhne geboren! Darum gab man ihm den Namen Levi.
And she conceaued yet and bare a sonne ad sayde: now this once will my husbonde kepe me company because I haue borne him. iij. sonnes: and therfore she called his name Levi.
35 Und sie ward wiederum schwanger und gebar einen Sohn; und sie sprach: Diesmal will ich Jehova preisen! Darum gab sie ihm den Namen Juda. Und sie hörte auf zu gebären.
And she conceaued yet agayne and bare a sonne saynge? Now will I prayse the LORde: therfore she called his name Iuda and left bearynge.
