Hesekiel 17
1 Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zu mir also:
And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
2 Menschensohn, gib ein Rätsel auf und rede ein Gleichnis zu dem Hause Israel,
and he seide, Sone of man, sette forth a derk speche, and telle thou a parable to the hous of Israel;
3 und sprich: So spricht der Herr, Jehova: Ein großer Adler mit großen Flügeln, langen Schwingen, voll buntfarbigen Gefieders, kam zum Libanon und nahm den Wipfel einer Zeder.
and thou schalt seie, The Lord God seith these thingis. A greet egle of grete wyngis, with long stretchyng out of membris, ful of fetheris and of dyuersite, cam to the Liban, and took awei the merowe of the cedre.
4 Den obersten ihrer Schößlinge brach er ab und brachte ihn in ein Krämerland, in eine Stadt von Kaufleuten setzte er ihn.
He pullide awei the hiynesse of boowis therof, and bar it ouer in to the lond of Chanaan, and settide it in the citee of marchauntis.
5 Und er nahm von dem Samen des Landes und setzte ihn in ein Saatfeld, er brachte ihn zu vielen Wassern, behandelte ihn wie eine Weide.
And he took of the seed of the lond, and settide it in the lond for seed, that it schulde make stidfast roote on many watris; he settide it in the hiyere part.
6 Und er wuchs und wurde zu einem üppigen Weinstock von niedrigem Wuchse, damit seine Ranken sich zu ihm hin wendeten und seine Wurzeln unter ihm wären; und er wurde zu einem Weinstock und trieb Äste und breitete sein Laubwerk aus. -
And whanne it hadde growe, it encreesside in to a largere vyner, in lowe stature; for the boowis therof bihelden to that egle, and the rootis therof weren vndur that egle; therof it was maad a vyner, and it made fruyt in to siouns, and sente out boowis.
7 Und da war ein anderer großer Adler mit großen Flügeln und vielem Gefieder. Und siehe, von den Beeten seiner Pflanzung aus streckte dieser Weinstock seine Wurzeln lechzend zu ihm hin und breitete seine Ranken nach ihm aus, damit er ihn tränke.
And another greet egle was maad, with grete wyngis, and many fetheris; and lo! this vyner as sendynge hise rootis to that egle, stretchide forth his siouns to that egle, that he schulde moiste it of the cornfloris of his seed.
8 In ein gutes Feld, an vielen Wassern war er gepflanzt, um Zweige zu treiben und Frucht zu tragen, um zu einem herrlichen Weinstock zu werden.
Which is plauntid in a good lond on many watris, that it make boowis, and bere fruyt, that it be in to a greet vyner.
9 Sprich: So spricht der Herr, Jehova: Wird er gedeihen? Wird man nicht seine Wurzeln ausreißen und seine Frucht abschneiden, so daß er verdorrt? Alle frischen Blätter seines Triebes werden verdorren; und nicht mit großem Arme und zahlreichem Volke wird es möglich sein, ihn von seinen Wurzeln emporzuheben.
Seie thou, Ezechiel, The Lord God seith these thingis, Therfor whether he schal haue prosperite? Whether Nabugodonosor schal not pulle awei the rootis of hym, and schal streyne the fruytis of hym? And he schal make drie alle the siouns of buriowning therof, and it schal be drie; and not in greet arm, nether in myche puple, that he schulde drawe it out bi the rootis.
10 Und siehe, wenngleich er gepflanzt ist, wird er gedeihen? Wird er nicht, sobald der Ostwind ihn berührt, ganz verdorren? Auf den Beeten, wo er wächst, wird er verdorren.
Lo! it is plauntid, therfor whether it schal haue prosperite? Whether not whanne brennynge wynd schal touche it, it schal be maad drye, and schal wexe drie in the cornfloris of his seed?
11 Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zu mir also:
And the word of the Lord was maad to me, and he seide, Seie thou to the hous terrynge to wraththe,
12 Sprich doch zu dem widerspenstigen Hause: Wisset ihr nicht, was das ist? Sprich: Siehe, der König von Babel ist nach Jerusalem gekommen, und hat seinen König und seine Fürsten weggenommen und hat sie zu sich nach Babel geführt.
Witen ye not what these thingis signefien? Seie thou, Lo! the king of Babiloyne cometh in to Jerusalem; and he schal take the kyng and the princis therof, and he schal leede hem to hym silf in to Babiloyne.
13 Und er hat von dem königlichen Samen genommen und einen Bund mit ihm gemacht, und hat ihn einen Eid eingehen lassen; die Mächtigen des Landes aber hat er mitgenommen,
And he schal take of the seed of the rewme, and schal smyte with it a boond of pees, and he schal take of it an ooth; but also he schal take awei the stronge men of the lond,
14 damit das Königreich niedrig wäre, auf daß es sich nicht erhöbe, und damit er seinen Bund hielte, auf daß es bestände.
that it be a meke rewme, and be not reisid, but that it kepe the couenaunt of hym, and holde it.
15 Aber er empörte sich wider ihn, indem er seine Boten nach Ägypten sandte, damit es ihm Rosse und viel Volks gäbe. Wird er gedeihen? Wird er, der solches getan hat, entrinnen? Da er den Bund gebrochen hat, sollte er entrinnen?
Which yede awei fro hym, and sente messangeris in to Egipt, that it schulde yyue to hym horsis and miche puple. Whether he that dide these thingis, schal haue prosperite, ether schal gete helthe? and whether he that brekith couenaunt, schal ascape?
16 So wahr ich lebe, spricht der Herr, Jehova, wenn er nicht an dem Orte des Königs, der ihn zum König gemacht hat, dessen Eid er verachtet und dessen Bund er gebrochen hat, bei ihm in Babel sterben wird!
Y lyue, seith the Lord God, for in the place of the king that made hym kyng, whos ooth he made voide, and brak the couenaunt, which he hadde with hym, in the myddis of Babiloyne he schal die.
17 Und nicht wird der Pharao mit einem großen Heere und mit einer zahlreichen Schar für ihn etwas ausrichten im Kriege, wenn man einen Wall aufschüttet und Belagerungstürme baut, um viele Seelen auszurotten.
And not in greet oost, nether in myche puple Farao schal make batel ayens hym, in the castyng of erthe, and in bildyng of palis, that he sle many persones.
18 Da er den Eid verachtet und den Bund gebrochen hat, und siehe, er hatte seine Hand darauf gegeben und tat dennoch alles dieses, so wird er nicht entrinnen.
For he dispiside the ooth, that he schulde breke the boond of pees, and lo! he yaf his hond; and whanne he hath do alle these thingis, he schal not ascape.
19 Darum spricht der Herr, Jehova, also: So wahr ich lebe, wenn ich nicht meinen Eid, den er verachtet, und meinen Bund, den er gebrochen hat, ihm auf seinen Kopf bringe!
Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Y lyue, for Y schal sette on his heed the ooth which he dispiside, and the boond of pees which he brak.
20 Und ich will mein Netz über ihn ausbreiten, und in meinem Garne wird er gefangen werden; und ich will ihn nach Babel bringen und daselbst mit ihm rechten wegen seiner Treulosigkeit, die er gegen mich begangen hat.
And Y schal spredde abrood my net on hym, and he schal be takun in my net, and Y schal brynge hym in to Babiloyne; and there Y schal deme hym in the trespassyng, bi which he dispiside me.
21 Und alle seine Flüchtlinge unter allen seinen Scharen, sie werden durchs Schwert fallen, und die Übriggebliebenen in alle Winde zerstreut werden. Und ihr werdet wissen, daß ich, Jehova, geredet habe.
And alle hise flieris a wei with al his cumpenye schulen falle doun bi swerd, forsothe the remenauntis schulen be schaterid in to ech wynd; and ye schulen wite, that Y the Lord spak.
22 So spricht der Herr, Jehova: Und ich werde von dem Wipfel der hohen Zeder einen Schößling nehmen und ihn setzen; von dem obersten ihrer Schößlinge werde ich einen zarten abbrechen und ihn pflanzen auf einen hohen und erhabenen Berg.
The Lord God seith these thingis, And Y schal take of the merowe of an hiy cedre, and Y schal sette a tendir thing of the cop of hise braunchis; Y schal streyne, and Y schal plaunte on an hiy hil, and apperynge fer.
23 Auf den hohen Berg Israels werde ich ihn pflanzen; und er wird Zweige treiben und Frucht tragen und zu einer herrlichen Zeder werden; und unter ihr werden alle Vögel wohnen, alles Geflügelte: Im Schatten ihrer Zweige werden sie wohnen.
In the hiy hil of Israel Y schal plaunte it; and it schal breke out in to buriownyng, and it schal make fruyt, and it schal be in to a greet cedre, and alle briddis schulen dwelle vndur it; ech volatil schal make nest vndur the schadewe of hise boowis.
24 Und alle Bäume des Feldes werden erkennen, daß ich, Jehova, den hohen Baum erniedrigt, den niedrigen Baum erhöht habe, den grünen Baum verdorren und den dürren Baum grünen ließ. Ich, Jehova, habe geredet und werde es tun.
And alle trees of the cuntrei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord; Y made low the hiy tre, and Y enhaunside the low tre, and Y made drie the greene tree, and Y made the drie tree to brynge forth boowis; Y the Lord haue spoke, and Y haue do.
