2 Thessalonicher 1

1 Paulus und Silvanus und Timotheus der Versammlung der Thessalonicher in Gott, unserem Vater, und dem Herrn Jesus Christus:

Poul, and Siluan, and Tymothe, to the chirche of Tessalonicensis, in God oure fadir,

2 Gnade euch und Friede von Gott, unserem Vater, und dem Herrn Jesus Christus!

and in the Lord Jhesu Crist, grace to you and pees of God, oure fadir, and of the Lord Jhesu Crist.

3 Wir sind schuldig, Brüder, Gott allezeit für euch zu danken, wie es billig ist, weil euer Glaube überaus wächst, und die Liebe jedes einzelnen von euch allen gegeneinander überströmend ist,

We owen to do thankyngis eueremore to God for you, britheren, so as it is worthi, for youre feith ouer wexith, and the charite of ech of you to othere aboundith.

4 so daß wir selbst uns euer rühmen in den Versammlungen Gottes wegen eures Ausharrens und Glaubens in allen euren Verfolgungen und Drangsalen, die ihr erduldet;

So that we silf glorien in you in the chirchis of God, for youre pacience and feith in alle youre persecuciouns and tribulaciouns.

5 ein offenbares Zeichen des gerechten Gerichts Gottes, daß ihr würdig geachtet werdet des Reiches Gottes, um dessentwillen ihr auch leidet:

Whiche ye susteynen in to the ensaumple of the iust dom of God, that ye be had worthi in the kingdom of God, for which ye suffren.

6 wenn es anders bei Gott gerecht ist, Drangsal zu vergelten denen, die euch bedrängen,

If netheles it is iust tofor God to quite tribulacioun to hem that troblen you,

7 und euch, die ihr bedrängt werdet, Ruhe mit uns bei der Offenbarung des Herrn Jesus vom Himmel, mit den Engeln seiner Macht,

and to you that ben troblid, rest with vs in the schewing of the Lord Jhesu fro heuene, with aungelis of his vertu,

8 in flammendem Feuer, wenn er Vergeltung gibt denen, die Gott nicht kennen, und denen, die dem Evangelium unseres Herrn Jesus Christus nicht gehorchen;

in the flawme of fier, that schal yyue veniaunce to hem that knowen not God, and that obeien not to the euangelie of oure Lord Jhesu Crist.

9 welche Strafe leiden werden, ewiges Verderben vom Angesicht des Herrn und von der Herrlichkeit seiner Stärke, (aiōnios g166)

Whiche schulen suffre euere lastinge peynes, in perischinge fro the face of the Lord, and fro the glorie of his vertu, (aiōnios g166)

10 wenn er kommen wird, um an jenem Tage verherrlicht zu werden in seinen Heiligen und bewundert in allen denen, die geglaubt haben; denn unser Zeugnis bei euch ist geglaubt worden.

whanne he schal come to be glorified in hise seyntis, and to be maad wondurful in alle men that bileueden, for oure witnessing is bileuyd on you, in that dai.

11 Weshalb wir auch allezeit für euch beten, auf daß unser Gott euch würdig erachte der Berufung und erfülle alles Wohlgefallen seiner Gütigkeit und das Werk des Glaubens in Kraft,

In which thing also we preien euere more for you, that oure God make you worthi to his cleping, and fille al the wille of his goodnesse, and the werk of feith in vertu;

12 damit der Name unseres Herrn Jesus [Christus] verherrlicht werde in euch, und ihr in ihm, nach der Gnade unseres Gottes und des Herrn Jesus Christus.

that the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist be clarified in you, and ye in hym, bi the grace of oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
