2 Samuel 23
1 Und dies sind die letzten Worte Davids: Es spricht David, der Sohn Isais, und es spricht der hochgestellte Mann, der Gesalbte des Gottes Jakobs und der Liebliche in Gesängen Israels:
These also be the last wordes of Dauid, Dauid the sonne of Ishai saith, euen the man who was set vp on hie, the Anointed of the God of Iacob, and the sweete singer of Israel saith,
2 Der Geist Jehovas hat durch mich geredet, und sein Wort war auf meiner Zunge.
The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his worde was in my tongue.
3 Es hat gesprochen der Gott Israels, der Fels Israels zu mir geredet: Ein Herrscher unter den Menschen, gerecht, ein Herrscher in Gottesfurcht;
The God of Israel spake to me, ye strength of Israel saide, Thou shalt beare rule ouer men, being iust, and ruling in the feare of God.
4 und er wird sein wie das Licht des Morgens, wenn die Sonne aufgeht, ein Morgen ohne Wolken: Von ihrem Glanze nach dem Regen sproßt das Grün aus der Erde.
Euen as the morning light when the sunne riseth, the morning, I say, without cloudes, so shall mine house be, and not as the grasse of the earth is by the bright raine.
5 Obwohl mein Haus nicht also ist bei Gott, so hat er mir doch einen ewigen Bund gesetzt, geordnet in allem und verwahrt; denn dies ist all meine Rettung und all mein Begehr, obwohl er es nicht sprossen läßt!
For so shall not mine house be with God: for he hath made with me an euerlasting couenant, perfite in all pointes, and sure: therefore all mine health and whole desire is, that he will not make it growe so.
6 Aber die Söhne Belials sind allesamt wie Dornen, die man wegwirft; denn mit der Hand faßt man sie nicht an;
But the wicked shalbe euery one as thornes thrust away, because they can not be taken with handes.
7 und der Mann, der sie anrührt, versieht sich mit Eisen und Speeresschaft; und mit Feuer werden sie gänzlich verbrannt an ihrer Stätte. -
But the man that shall touch them, must be defensed with yron, or with the shaft of a speare: and they shall be burnt with fire in the same place.
8 Dies sind die Namen der Helden, welche David hatte: Joscheb-Baschebeth, der Tachkemoniter, das Haupt der Anführer; er... Adino, der Ezniter, war wider achthundert, die er auf einmal erschlug.
These be the names of the mightie men whome Dauid had. He that sate in the seate of wisedome, being chiefe of the princes, was Adino of Ezni, he slewe eight hundreth at one time.
9 Und nach ihm Eleasar, der Sohn Dodos, der Sohn eines Achochiters; er war unter den drei Helden mit David, als sie die Philister verhöhnten, die daselbst zum Streit versammelt waren, und als die Männer von Israel wegzogen.
And after him was Eleazar the sonne of Dodo, the sonne of Ahohi, one of the three worthies with Dauid, when they defied the Philistims gathered there to battel, when the men of Israel were gone vp.
10 Selbiger machte sich auf und schlug unter den Philistern, bis seine Hand ermüdete und seine Hand am Schwerte klebte; und Jehova schaffte an jenem Tage eine große Rettung. Das Volk aber kehrte um, ihm nach, nur um zu plündern.
He arose and smote the Philistims vntill his hande was wearie, and his hande claue vnto the sworde: and the Lord gaue great victorie the same day, and the people returned after him onely to spoyle.
11 Und nach ihm Schamma, der Sohn Ages, des Harariters. Und die Philister versammelten sich zu einer Schar; und es war daselbst ein Ackerstück voll Linsen; das Volk aber floh vor den Philistern.
After him was Shammah the sonne of Age the Hararite: for the Philistims assembled at a towne, where was a piece of a fielde full of lentils, and the people fled from the Philistims.
12 Da stellte er sich mitten auf das Stück und rettete es und schlug die Philister; und Jehova schaffte eine große Rettung.
But he stoode in the middes of the fielde, and defended it, and slewe the Philistims: so the Lord gaue great victorie.
13 Und drei von den dreißig Häuptern gingen hinab und kamen zur Erntezeit zu David, in die Höhle Adullam; und eine Schar der Philister lagerte im Tale Rephaim.
Afterward three of the thirtie captaines went downe, and came to Dauid in the haruest time vnto the caue of Adullam, and the hoste of the Philistims pitched in the valley of Rephaim.
14 David war aber damals auf der Bergfeste, und eine Aufstellung der Philister war damals zu Bethlehem.
And Dauid was then in an holde, and the garison of ye Philistims was then in Beth-lehem.
15 Und David hatte ein Gelüste und sprach: Wer wird mich mit Wasser tränken aus der Zisterne von Bethlehem, die am Tore ist?
And Dauid longed, and said, Oh, that one would giue me to drinke of the water of the well of Beth-lehem, which is by the gate.
16 Da brachen die drei Helden durch das Lager der Philister und schöpften Wasser aus der Zisterne von Bethlehem, die am Tore ist, und trugen und brachten es zu David. Aber er wollte es nicht trinken und goß es aus als Trankopfer dem Jehova;
The the three mightie brake into the host of the Philistims, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem that was by the gate, and tooke and brought it to Dauid, who woulde not drinke thereof, but powred it for an offring vnto ye Lord,
17 und er sprach: Fern sei es von mir, Jehova, daß ich solches tue! Sollte ich das Blut der Männer trinken, die mit Gefahr ihres Lebens hingegangen sind? Und er wollte es nicht trinken. Das taten die drei Helden.
And said, O Lord, be it farre from me, that I should doe this. Is not this the blood of the men that went in ieopardie of their liues? therefore he woulde not drinke it. These things did these three mightie men.
18 Und Abisai, der Bruder Joabs, der Sohn der Zeruja, war ein Haupt der Drei. Und er schwang seinen Speer über dreihundert, die er erschlug; und er hatte einen Namen unter den Dreien.
And Abishai the brother of Ioab, the sonne of Zeruiah, was chiefe among the three, and he lifted vp his speare against three hundreth, and slewe them, and he had the name among the three.
19 War er vor den Dreien nicht geehrt, so daß er ihr Oberster wurde? Aber an die ersten Drei reichte er nicht.
For he was most excellent of the three, and was their captaine, but he attained not vnto the first three.
20 Und Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas, der Sohn eines tapferen Mannes, groß an Taten, von Kabzeel; selbiger erschlug zwei Löwen von Moab. Und er stieg hinab und erschlug den Löwen in der Grube an einem Schneetage.
And Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada the sonne of a valiant man, which had done many actes, and was of Kabzeel, slewe two strong men of Moab: he went downe also, and slewe a lyon in the middes of a pit in the time of snowe.
21 Und er war es, der einen ägyptischen Mann erschlug, einen stattlichen Mann. Und der Ägypter hatte einen Speer in der Hand; er aber ging zu ihm hinab mit einem Stabe, und riß dem Ägypter den Speer aus der Hand und tötete ihn mit seinem eigenen Speere.
And he slewe an Egyptian a man of great stature, and the Egyptian had a speare in his hande: but he went downe to him with a staffe, and plucked the speare out of the Egyptians hand, and slewe him with his owne speare.
22 Das tat Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas; und er hatte einen Namen unter den drei Helden.
These things did Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada, and had the name among the three worthies.
23 Vor den Dreißigen war er geehrt, aber an die ersten Drei reichte er nicht. Und David setzte ihn in seinen geheimen Rat.
He was honourable among thirtie, but he atteined not to the first three: and Dauid made him of his counsell.
24 Asael, der Bruder Joabs, war unter den Dreißig; Elchanan, der Sohn Dodos, von Bethlehem;
Asahel the brother of Ioab was one of the thirtie: Elhanan the sonne of Dodo of Beth-lehem:
25 Schamma, der Haroditer; Elika, der Haroditer;
Shammah the Harodite: Elika ye Harodite:
26 Helez, der Paltiter; Ira, der Sohn Ikkesch', der Tekoiter;
Helez the Paltite: Ira the sonne of Ikkesh the Tekoite:
27 Abieser, der Anathothiter; Mebunnai, der Huschathiter;
Abiezer the Anethothite: Mebunnai the Husathite:
28 Zalmon, der Achochiter; Maharai, der Netophatiter;
Zalmon an Ahohite: Maharai the Netophathite:
29 Heleb, der Sohn Baanas, der Netophatiter; Ittai, der Sohn Ribais, von Gibea der Kinder Benjamin;
Heleb the sonne of Baanah a Netophathite: Ittai the sonne of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Beniamin:
30 Benaja, der Pirhathoniter; Hiddai, von den Bächen Gaasch;
Benaiah the Pirathonite: Hiddai of the riuer of Gaash:
31 Abi-Albon, der Arbathiter; Asmaweth, der Barchumiter;
Abi-albon the Arbathite: Azmaueth the Barhumite:
32 Eljachba, der Schaalboniter; Bne-Jaschen; Jonathan;
Elihaba the Shaalbonite: of the sonnes of Iashen, Ionathan:
33 Schamma, der Harariter; Achiam, der Sohn Scharars, der Arariter;
Shammah the Hararite: Ahiam the sonne of Sharar the Hamrite:
34 Eliphelet, der Sohn Achasbais, des Sohnes des Maakathiters; Eliam, der Sohn Ahitophels, der Giloniter;
Eliphelet the sonne of Ahasbai the sonne of Maachathi: Eliam the sonne of Ahithophel the Gilonite:
35 Hezrai, der Karmeliter, Paarai, der Arbiter;
Hezrai the Carmelite: Paarai the Arbite:
36 Jigal, der Sohn Nathans, von Zoba; Bani, der Gaditer;
Igal the sonne of Nathan of Zobah: Bani the Gadite:
37 Zelek, der Ammoniter; Nacharai, der Beerothiter, der Waffenträger Joabs, des Sohnes der Zeruja;
Zelek the Ammonite: Naharai the Becrothite, the armour bearer of Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah:
38 Ira, der Jithriter; Gareb, der Jithriter;
Ira the Ithrite: Gareb the Ithrite:
39 Urija, der Hethiter: in allem siebenunddreißig.
Uriiah the Hittite, thirtie and seuen in all.
