1 Und Elisa hatte zu dem Weibe, deren Sohn er lebendig gemacht hatte, geredet und gesagt: Mache dich auf und gehe hin, du und dein Haus, und weile, wo du weilen kannst; denn Jehova hat eine Hungersnot herbeigerufen, und sie kommt auch ins Land sieben Jahre lang.
Forsothe Elisee spak to the womman, whose sone he made to lyue, and he seide, Rise thou, and go, bothe thou and thin hows, and `go in pilgrimage, where euer thou schalt fynde; for the Lord schal clepe hungur, and it schal come on the lond bi seuene yeer.
2 Und das Weib machte sich auf und tat nach dem Worte des Mannes Gottes: sie ging hin, sie und ihr Haus, und weilte in dem Lande der Philister sieben Jahre.
And sche roos, and dide bi the word of the man of God; and sche yede with hir hows, and was in pilgrimage in the lond of Philistym many daies.
3 Und es geschah am Ende von sieben Jahren, da kehrte das Weib aus dem Lande der Philister zurück; und sie ging aus, um den König anzurufen wegen ihres Hauses und wegen ihrer Felder.
And whanne seuene yeer weren endid, the womman turnede ayen fro the lond of Philisteis; and sche yede out, to axe the kyng for her hows, and hir feeldis.
4 Der König aber redete eben zu Gehasi, dem Knaben des Mannes Gottes, und sprach: Erzähle mir doch alle die großen Dinge, die Elisa getan hat!
Sotheli the kyng spak with Giezi, child of the man of God, and seide, Telle thou to me alle the grete dedis whiche Elisee dide.
5 Und es geschah, während er dem König erzählte, daß er den Toten lebendig gemacht habe, siehe, da rief das Weib, deren Sohn er lebendig gemacht hatte, den König an wegen ihres Hauses und wegen ihrer Felder. Da sprach Gehasi: Mein Herr König! Dies ist das Weib, und dies ist ihr Sohn, den Elisa lebendig gemacht hat.
And whanne he telde to the kyng, hou Elisee hadde reiside a deed man, the womman apperide, whos sone he hadde maad to lyue, and sche criede to the kyng for hir hows, and for hir feeldis. And Giesi seide, My lord the king, this is the womman, and this is hir sone, whom Elisee reiside.
6 Und der König fragte das Weib, und sie erzählte ihm; und der König gab ihr einen Kämmerer mit und sprach: Erstatte alles zurück, was ihr gehört, sowie den ganzen Ertrag der Felder von dem Tage an, da sie das Land verlassen hat, bis jetzt.
And the kyng axide the womman, and sche tolde to hym, that the thingis weren sothe. And the kyng yaf to hir o chaumburleyn, and seide, Restore thou to hir alle thingis that ben hern, and alle fruytis of the feeldis, fro the dai in which she left the lond `til to present tyme.
7 Und Elisa kam nach Damaskus. Und Ben-Hadad, der König von Syrien, war krank. Und es wurde ihm berichtet und gesagt: Der Mann Gottes ist hierher gekommen.
Also Elisee cam to Damask, and Benadab, kyng of Sirie, was sijk; and thei telden to hym, and seiden, The man of God cam hidur.
8 Da sprach der König zu Hasael: Nimm ein Geschenk mit dir und gehe dem Manne Gottes entgegen, und befrage Jehova durch ihn und sprich: Werde ich von dieser Krankheit genesen?
And the kyng seide to Azael, Take with thee yiftis, and go thou in to the meetyng of the man of God, and `counsele thou bi hym the Lord, and seie thou, Whether Y may ascape fro this `sikenesse of me?
9 Und Hasael ging ihm entgegen und nahm ein Geschenk mit sich: allerlei Gut von Damaskus, eine Last von vierzig Kamelen; und er kam und trat vor ihn hin und sprach: Dein Sohn Ben-Hadad, der König von Syrien, hat mich zu dir gesandt und läßt dir sagen: Werde ich von dieser Krankheit genesen?
Therfor Azael yede in to the meetyng of hym, and hadde with hym silf yiftis, and alle the goodis of Damask, the burthuns of fourti camels. And whanne he hadde stonde bifor Elisee, he seide, Thi sone, Benadab, kyng of Sirie, sente me to thee, and seide, Whether Y may be helid of this `sikenesse of me?
10 Und Elisa sprach zu ihm: Gehe hin, sprich zu ihm: Du wirst gewißlich genesen! Aber Jehova hat mir gezeigt, daß er gewißlich sterben wird.
And Elisee seide, Go thou, and seye to hym, Thou schalt be heelid; forsothe the Lord schewide to me that he schal die bi deth.
11 Und er stellte sein Angesicht fest und richtete es auf ihn, bis er sich schämte; und der Mann Gottes weinte.
And he stood with hym, and he was disturblid, `til to the castyng doun of cheer; and the man of God wepte.
12 Und Hasael sprach: Warum weint mein Herr? Und er sprach: Weil ich weiß, was du den Kindern Israel Übles tun wirst: ihre festen Städte wirst du in Brand stecken, und ihre Jünglinge mit dem Schwerte töten, und ihre Kindlein wirst du zerschmettern und ihre Schwangeren aufschlitzen.
`To whom Azael seide, Whi wepith my lord? And he answeride, For Y woot what yuelis thou schalt do to the sones of Israel; thou schalt brenne bi fier the strengthid citees of hem, and thou schalt sle bi swerd the yonge men of hem, and thou schalt hurtle doun the litle children of hem, and thou schalt departe the women with childe.
13 Da sprach Hasael: Was ist dein Knecht, der Hund, daß er diese große Sache tun sollte? Und Elisa sprach: Jehova hat mich dich sehen lassen als König über Syrien.
And Azael seide, What sotheli am Y, thi seruaunt, a dogge, that Y do this grete thing? And Elisee seide, The Lord schewide to me that thou schalt be kyng of Sirie.
14 Und er ging von Elisa weg und kam zu seinem Herrn; und dieser sprach zu ihm: Was hat Elisa dir gesagt? Und er sprach: Er hat mir gesagt, du werdest gewißlich genesen.
And whanne he hadde departid fro Elisee, he cam to his lord; which seide to Azael, What seide Elisee to thee? And he answeride, Elisee seide to me, Thou schalt resseyue helthe.
15 Und es geschah am folgenden Tage, da nahm er die Decke und tauchte sie ins Wasser und breitete sie über sein Angesicht, so daß er starb. Und Hasael ward König an seiner Statt.
And whanne `the tother day hadde come, Azael took the cloth on the bed, and bischedde with watir, and spredde abrood on the face of hym; and whanne he was deed, Azael regnede for hym.
16 Und im fünften Jahre Jorams, des Sohnes Ahabs, des Königs von Israel, als Josaphat König von Juda war, wurde Joram König, der Sohn Josaphats, des Königs von Juda.
In the fyuethe yeer of Joram, sone of Achab, kyng of Israel, and of Josephat, kyng of Juda, Joram, sone of Josephat, kyng of Juda, regnede.
17 Zweiunddreißig Jahre war er alt, als er König wurde, und er regierte acht Jahre zu Jerusalem.
He was of two and thretti yeer whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede eiyte yeer in Jerusalem.
18 Und er wandelte auf dem Wege der Könige von Israel, wie das Haus Ahabs tat, denn er hatte eine Tochter Ahabs zum Weibe; und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovas.
And he yede in the weies of the kyngis of Israel, as the hows of Achab hadde go; for the douyter of Achab was his wijf; and he dide that, that is yuel in the siyt of the Lord.
19 Aber Jehova wollte Juda nicht verderben um seines Knechtes David willen, so wie er ihm gesagt hatte, daß er ihm eine Leuchte geben wolle für seine Söhne alle Tage.
Forsothe the Lord nolde distrie Juda, for Dauid, his seruaunt, as he `hadde bihiyt to Dauid, that he schulde yyue to hym a lanterne, and to hise sones in alle daies.
20 In seinen Tagen fielen die Edomiter von der Botmäßigkeit Judas ab und setzten einen König über sich.
In tho daies Edom, `that is, Ydumee, yede awei, that it schulde not be vndur Juda; and made a kyng to it silf.
21 Da zog Joram hinüber nach Zair, und alle Wagen mit ihm. Und es geschah, als er sich des Nachts aufmachte, da schlug er die Edomiter, welche ihn und die Obersten der Wagen umringt hatten; und das Volk floh nach seinen Zelten.
And Joram cam to Seira, and alle the charis with hym; and he roos bi nyyt, and smoot Ydumeis, that cumpassiden hym, and the princis of charis; sotheli the puple fledde in to her tabernaclis.
22 So fielen die Edomiter von der Botmäßigkeit Judas ab bis auf diesen Tag. Damals fiel auch Libna ab zu derselben Zeit.
Therfor Edom yede awei, that it was not vndur Juda `til to this day; thanne also Lobna yede awey in that tyme.
23 Und das Übrige der Geschichte Jorams und alles was, er getan hat, ist das nicht geschrieben in dem Buche der Chronika der Könige von Juda?
Forsothe the residues of wordis of Joram, and alle thingis whiche he dide, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kingis of Juda?
24 Und Joram legte sich zu seinen Vätern, und er wurde bei seinen Vätern begraben in der Stadt Davids. Und Ahasja, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.
And Joram slepte with hise fadris, and was biried with hem in the citee of Dauid; and Ocozie, his sone, regnede for hym.
25 Im zwölften Jahre Jorams, des Sohnes Ahabs, des Königs von Israel, wurde Ahasja König, der Sohn Jorams, des Königs von Juda.
In the tweluethe yeer of Joram, sone of Achab, kyng of Israel, Ocozie, sone of Joram, kyng of Juda, regnede.
26 Zweiundzwanzig Jahre war Ahasja alt, als er König wurde, und er regierte ein Jahr zu Jerusalem; und der Name seiner Mutter war Athalja, die Tochter Omris, des Königs von Israel.
Ocozie, the sone of Joram, was of two and twenti yeer whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede o yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his moder was Athalia, the douyter of Amry, kyng of Israel.
27 Und er wandelte auf dem Wege des Hauses Ahabs und tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovas, wie das Haus Ahabs; denn er war ein Schwiegersohn des Hauses Ahabs.
And he yede in the waies of the hows of Achab, and dide that, that is yuel, bifor the Lord, as the hows of Achab dide; for he was hosebonde of a douyter of the hows of Achab.
28 Und er zog mit Joram, dem Sohne Ahabs, in den Streit wider Hasael, dem König von Syrien, nach Ramoth-Gilead. Und die Syrer verwundeten Joram.
Also he yede with Joram, sone of Achab, to fiyt ayens Azael, kyng of Sirie, in Ramoth of Galaad; and men of Sirie woundiden Joram.
29 Da kehrte der König Joram zurück, um sich in Jisreel von den Wunden heilen zu lassen, welche ihm die Syrer zu Rama geschlagen hatten, als er wider Hasael, den König von Syrien, stritt. Und Ahasja, der Sohn Jorams, der König von Juda, zog hinab, um Joram, den Sohn Ahabs, in Jisreel zu besuchen, weil er krank war.
Which turnede ayen, to be heelid in Jezrael; for men of Sirie woundiden hym in Ramoth, fiytynge ayens Azael, kyng of Sirye. Forsothe Ocozie, sone of Joram, the kyng of Juda, cam doun to se Joram, sone of Achab, in to Jezrael, that was sijk there.
