1 Und die Söhne der Propheten sprachen zu Elisa: Siehe doch, der Ort, wo wir vor dir wohnen, ist uns zu enge;
and to say son: child [the] prophet to(wards) Elisha behold please [the] place which we to dwell there to/for face your narrow from us
2 laß uns doch an den Jordan gehen und von dannen ein jeder einen Balken holen, und uns dort einen Ort herrichten, um daselbst zu wohnen.
to go: went please till [the] Jordan and to take: take from there man: anyone beam one and to make to/for us there place to/for to dwell there and to say to go: went
3 Und er sprach: Gehet hin. Und einer sprach: Laß es dir doch gefallen und gehe mit deinen Knechten! Und er sprach: Ich will mitgehen.
and to say [the] one be willing please and to go: went with servant/slave your and to say I to go: went
4 Und er ging mit ihnen; und sie kamen an den Jordan und hieben die Bäume um.
and to go: went with them and to come (in): come [the] Jordan [to] and to cut [the] tree
5 Es geschah aber, als einer einen Balken fällte, da fiel das Eisen ins Wasser; und er schrie und sprach: Ach, mein Herr! Und es war entlehnt!
and to be [the] one to fall: fell(trees) [the] beam and [obj] [the] iron to fall: fell(trees) to(wards) [the] water and to cry and to say alas! lord my and he/she/it to ask
6 Und der Mann Gottes sprach: Wohin ist es gefallen? Und er zeigte ihm die Stelle; da schnitt er ein Holz ab und warf es hinein und machte das Eisen schwimmen.
and to say man [the] God where? to fall: fall and to see: see him [obj] [the] place and to shear tree: stick and to throw there [to] and to flow [the] iron
7 Und er sprach: Nimm es dir auf. Und er streckte seine Hand aus und nahm es.
and to say to exalt to/for you and to send: reach hand his and to take: take him
8 Und der König von Syrien führte Krieg wider Israel; und er beriet sich mit seinen Knechten und sprach: An dem und dem Orte soll mein Lager sein.
and king Syria to be to fight in/on/with Israel and to advise to(wards) servant/slave his to/for to say to(wards) place someone someone encampment my
9 Da sandte der Mann Gottes zum König von Israel und ließ ihm sagen: Hüte dich, diesen Ort zu vernachlässigen; denn dort kommen die Syrer herab.
and to send: depart man [the] God to(wards) king Israel to/for to say to keep: careful from to pass [the] place [the] this for there Syria descended
10 Und der König von Israel sandte an den Ort, den der Mann Gottes ihm gesagt und vor dem er ihn gewarnt hatte, und er verwahrte sich daselbst; und das geschah nicht einmal und nicht zweimal.
and to send: depart king Israel to(wards) [the] place which to say to/for him man [the] God (and to warn him *Q(K)*) and to keep: guard there not one and not two
11 Da wurde das Herz des Königs von Syrien über diese Sache beunruhigt; und er rief seine Knechte und sprach zu ihnen: Könnt ihr mir nicht kundtun, wer von den Unsrigen für den König von Israel ist?
and to rage heart king Syria upon [the] word: because [the] this and to call: call to to(wards) servant/slave his and to say to(wards) them not to tell to/for me who? from which/that to/for us to(wards) king Israel
12 Und einer von seinen Knechten sprach: Nicht doch, mein Herr König; sondern Elisa, der Prophet, der in Israel ist, tut dem König von Israel die Worte kund, die du in deinem Schlafgemach redest.

13 Da sprach er: Gehet hin und sehet, wo er ist; und ich werde hinsenden und ihn holen. Und es wurde ihm berichtet und gesagt: Siehe, er ist in Dothan.
and to say to go: went and to see: see where? he/she/it and to send: depart and to take: take him and to tell to/for him to/for to say behold in/on/with Dothan
14 Da sandte er Rosse und Wagen dorthin und ein starkes Heer; und sie kamen des Nachts und umzingelten die Stadt.
and to send: depart there [to] horse and chariot and strength: soldiers heavy and to come (in): come night and to surround upon [the] city
15 Und als der Diener des Mannes Gottes früh aufstand und hinaustrat, siehe da, ein Heer umringte die Stadt, und Rosse und Wagen. Und sein Knabe sprach zu ihm: Ach, mein Herr! Was sollen wir tun?
and to rise to minister man [the] God to/for to arise: rise and to come out: come and behold strength: soldiers to turn: surround [obj] [the] city and horse and chariot and to say youth his to(wards) him alas! lord my how? to make: do
16 Aber er sprach: Fürchte dich nicht! Denn mehr sind derer, die bei uns, als derer, die bei ihnen sind.
and to say not to fear for many which with us from whence with them
17 Und Elisa betete und sprach: Jehova, öffne doch seine Augen, daß er sehe! Da öffnete Jehova die Augen des Knaben; und er sah: und siehe, der Berg war voll feuriger Rosse und Wagen, rings um Elisa her.
and to pray Elisha and to say LORD to open please [obj] eye his and to see: see and to open LORD [obj] eye [the] youth and to see: see and behold [the] mountain: mount to fill horse and chariot fire around Elisha
18 Und sie kamen zu ihm herab; und Elisa betete zu Jehova und sprach: Schlage doch dieses Volk mit Blindheit! Und er schlug sie mit Blindheit nach dem Worte Elisas.
and to go down to(wards) him and to pray Elisha to(wards) LORD and to say to smite please [obj] [the] nation [the] this in/on/with blindness and to smite them in/on/with blindness like/as word Elisha
19 Und Elisa sprach zu ihnen: Dies ist nicht der Weg, und dies nicht die Stadt; folget mir, und ich werde euch zu dem Manne führen, den ihr suchet. Und er führte sie nach Samaria.
and to say to(wards) them Elisha not this [the] way: road and not this [the] city to go: follow after me and to go: take [obj] you to(wards) [the] man which to seek [emph?] and to go: take [obj] them Samaria [to]
20 Und es geschah, als sie nach Samaria gekommen waren, da sprach Elisa: Jehova, öffne diesen die Augen, daß sie sehen! Da öffnete Jehova ihnen die Augen; und sie sahen: und siehe, sie waren mitten in Samaria.
and to be like/as to come (in): come they Samaria and to say Elisha LORD to open [obj] eye these and to see: see and to open LORD [obj] eye their and to see: see and behold in/on/with midst Samaria
21 Und der König von Israel sprach zu Elisa, als er sie sah: Soll ich schlagen, soll ich schlagen, mein Vater?
and to say king Israel to(wards) Elisha like/as to see: see he [obj] them to smite to smite father my
22 Aber er sprach: Du sollst nicht schlagen. Würdest du die schlagen, welche du mit deinem Schwerte und mit deinem Bogen gefangen genommen hättest? Setze ihnen Brot und Wasser vor, daß sie essen und trinken und dann zu ihrem Herrn ziehen.
and to say not to smite which to take captive in/on/with sword your and in/on/with bow your you(m. s.) to smite to set: make food: bread and water to/for face: before their and to eat and to drink and to go: went to(wards) lord their
23 Und er richtete ihnen ein großes Mahl zu, und sie aßen und tranken; und er entließ sie, und sie zogen zu ihrem Herrn. Und die Streifscharen der Syrer kamen hinfort nicht mehr in das Land Israel.
and to feed to/for them feast great: large and to eat and to drink and to send: depart them and to go: went to(wards) lord their and not to add: again still band Syria to/for to come (in): come in/on/with land: country/planet Israel
24 Und es geschah hernach, da versammelte Ben-Hadad, der König von Syrien, sein ganzes Heer, und zog herauf und belagerte Samaria.
and to be after so and to gather Ben-hadad Ben-hadad king Syria [obj] all camp his and to ascend: rise and to confine upon Samaria
25 Und es entstand eine große Hungersnot in Samaria; und siehe, sie belagerten es, bis ein Eselskopf achtzig Sekel Silber und ein Viertel Kab Taubenmist fünf Sekel Silber galt.
and to be famine great: large in/on/with Samaria and behold to confine upon her till to be head donkey in/on/with eighty silver: money and fourth [the] kab (quano *Q(K)*) in/on/with five silver: money
26 Und es geschah, als der König von Israel auf der Mauer einherging, da schrie ein Weib zu ihm und sprach: Hilf, mein Herr König!
and to be king Israel to pass upon [the] wall and woman to cry to(wards) him to/for to say to save [emph?] lord my [the] king
27 Aber er sprach: Hilft dir Jehova nicht, woher sollte ich dir helfen? Von der Tenne oder von der Kelter?
and to say not to save you LORD from where? to save you from [the] threshing floor or from [the] wine
28 Und der König sprach zu ihr: Was ist dir? Und sie sprach: Dieses Weib da hat zu mir gesagt: Gib deinen Sohn her, daß wir ihn heute essen; und meinen Sohn wollen wir morgen essen.
and to say to/for her [the] king what? to/for you and to say [the] woman [the] this to say to(wards) me to give: give [obj] son: child your and to eat him [the] day and [obj] son: child my to eat tomorrow
29 Und so kochten wir meinen Sohn und aßen ihn. Und ich sprach zu ihr am anderen Tage: Gib deinen Sohn her, daß wir ihn essen! Aber sie hat ihren Sohn verborgen.
and to boil [obj] son: child my and to eat him and to say to(wards) her in/on/with day [the] another to give: give [obj] son: child your and to eat him and to hide [obj] son: child her
30 Und es geschah, als der König die Worte des Weibes hörte, da zerriß er seine Kleider, während er auf der Mauer einherging; und das Volk sah, und siehe, er trug Sacktuch darunter auf seinem Leibe.
and to be like/as to hear: hear [the] king [obj] word [the] woman and to tear [obj] garment his and he/she/it to pass upon [the] wall and to see: see [the] people and behold [the] sackcloth upon flesh his from house: inside
31 Und er sprach: So soll mir Gott tun und so hinzufügen, wenn der Kopf Elisas, des Sohnes Saphats, heute auf ihm bleibt!
and to say thus to make: do to/for me God and thus to add if to stand: stand head Elisha son: child Shaphat upon him [the] day: today
32 Und Elisa saß in seinem Hause, und die Ältesten saßen bei ihm. Und der König sandte einen Mann vor sich her. Ehe der Bote zu ihm kam, sprach er aber zu den Ältesten: Habt ihr gesehen, daß dieser Mördersohn hergesandt hat, um mir den Kopf wegzunehmen? Sehet zu, sobald der Bote kommt, verschließet die Tür und dränget ihn mit der Tür hinweg! Ist nicht der Schall der Tritte seines Herrn hinter ihm?
and Elisha to dwell in/on/with house: home his and [the] old: elder to dwell with him and to send: depart man from to/for face: before his in/on/with before to come (in): come [the] messenger to(wards) him and he/she/it to say to(wards) [the] old: elder to see: behold! for to send: depart son: warrior [the] to murder [the] this to/for to turn aside: remove [obj] head my to see: behold! like/as to come (in): come [the] messenger to shut [the] door and to oppress [obj] him in/on/with door not voice: sound foot lord his after him
33 Noch redete er mit ihnen, siehe, da kam der Bote zu ihm herab; und er sprach: Siehe, dieses Unglück ist von Jehova; was soll ich noch auf Jehova harren?
still he to speak: speak with them and behold [the] messenger to go down to(wards) him and to say behold this [the] distress: harm from with LORD what? to wait: wait to/for LORD still
