1 Im siebenundzwanzigsten Jahre Jerobeams, des Königs von Israel, wurde Asarja König, der Sohn Amazjas, des Königs von Juda.

In the seuen and twentieth yeere of Ieroboam King of Israel, began Azariah, sonne of Amaziah King of Iudah to reigne.

2 Sechzehn Jahre war er alt, als er König wurde, und regierte zweiundfünfzig Jahre zu Jerusalem; und der Name seiner Mutter war Jekolja, von Jerusalem.

Sixteene yeere olde was he, when he was made King, and he reigned two and fiftie yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Iecholiah of Ierusalem.

3 Und er tat, was recht war in den Augen Jehovas, nach allem, was sein Vater Amazja getan hatte.

And he did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did.

4 Doch die Höhen wichen nicht; das Volk opferte und räucherte noch auf den Höhen.

But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered, and burned incense in the hie places.

5 Und Jehova schlug den König, und er wurde aussätzig bis zum Tage seines Todes; und er wohnte in einem Krankenhause. Jotham aber, der Sohn des Königs, war über das Haus und richtete das Volk des Landes.

And the Lord smote the King: and he was a leper vnto the day of his death, and dwelt in an house apart, and Iotham the kings sonne gouerned the house, and iudged the people of the land.

6 Und das Übrige der Geschichte Asarjas, und alles, was er getan hat, ist das nicht geschrieben in dem Buche der Chronika der Könige von Juda?

Concerning the rest of the actes of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

7 Und Asarja legte sich zu seinen Vätern, und man begrub ihn bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids. Und Jotham, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.

So Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buryed him with his fathers in the citie of Dauid, and Iotham his sonne reigned in his stead.

8 Im achtunddreißigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Sekarja, der Sohn Jerobeams, König über Israel zu Samaria und regierte sechs Monate.

In the eyght and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah did Zachariah the sonne of Ieroboam reigne ouer Israel in Samaria sixe moneths,

9 Und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovas, so wie seine Väter getan hatten; er wich nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, wodurch er Israel sündigen gemacht hatte.

And did euill in the sight of the Lord, as did his fathers: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

10 Und Sallum, der Sohn Jabes', machte eine Verschwörung wider ihn und erschlug ihn vor dem Volke und tötete ihn. Und er ward König an seiner Statt.

And Shallum the sonne of Iabesh cospired against him, and smote him in the sight of the people, and killed him, and reigned in his stead.

11 Und das Übrige der Geschichte Sekarjas, siehe, das ist geschrieben in dem Buche der Chronika der Könige von Israel.

Concerning the rest of the actes of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

12 Das ist das Wort Jehovas, welches er zu Jehu geredet hatte, indem er sprach: Dir sollen Söhne des vierten Gliedes auf dem Throne Israels sitzen. Und es geschah also.

This was the word of the Lord, which he spake vnto Iehu, saying, Thy sonnes shall sit on the throne of Israel vnto the fourth generation after thee. And it came so to passe.

13 Sallum, der Sohn Jabes', wurde König im neununddreißigsten Jahre Ussijas, des Königs von Juda; und er regierte einen Monat lang zu Samaria.

Shallum the sonne of Iabesh began to reigne in the nine and thirtieth yeere of Vzziah King of Iudah: and he reigned the space of a moneth in Samaria.

14 Da zog Menachem, der Sohn Gadis, von Tirza herauf und kam nach Samaria; und er erschlug Sallum, den Sohn Jabes', zu Samaria und tötete ihn. Und er ward König an seiner Statt.

For Menahem the sonne of Gadi went vp from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the sonne of Iabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

15 Und das Übrige der Geschichte Sallums, und seine Verschwörung, die er gemacht hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in dem Buche der Chronika der Könige von Israel.

Cocerning the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the treason which he wrought, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

16 Damals schlug Menachem Tiphsach und alles, was darin war, und sein Gebiet, von Tirza aus: weil man ihm nicht aufgetan hatte, so schlug er es; alle seine Schwangeren schlitzte er auf.

Then Menahem destroyed Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coastes thereof from Tirzah, because they opened not to him, and he smote it, and ript vp all their women with childe.

17 Im neununddreißigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Menachem, der Sohn Gadis, König über Israel und regierte zehn Jahre zu Samaria.

The nine and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah, beganne Menahem the sonne of Gadi to reigne ouer Israel, and reigned ten yeeres in Samaria.

18 Und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovas; er wich nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, wodurch er Israel sündigen gemacht hatte, alle seine Tage.

And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, and departed not all his dayes from the sinne of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

19 Und Pul, der König von Assyrien, kam wider das Land; und Menachem gab Pul tausend Talente Silber, damit seine Hand mit ihm wäre, um das Königtum in seiner Hand zu befestigen.

Then Pul the king of Asshur came against the land: and Menahem gaue Pul a thousand talents of siluer, that his hande might bee with him, and establish the kingdome in his hand.

20 Und Menachem legte die Zahlung des Geldes auf Israel, auf alle vermögenden Leute, um es dem König von Assyrien zu geben: fünfzig Sekel Silber auf jeden Mann. Da kehrte der König von Assyrien um und blieb nicht daselbst im Lande.

And Menahem exacted the money in Israel, that all men of substance shoulde giue the King of Asshur fiftie shekels of siluer a piece: so the king of Asshur returned and taried not there in the land.

22 Und Menachem legte sich zu seinen Vätern. Und Pekachja, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.

And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his sonne did reigne in his steade.

23 Im fünfzigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Pekachja, der Sohn Menachems, König über Israel zu Samaria und regierte zwei Jahre.

In ye fiftieth yere of Azariah king of Iudah, began Pekahiah the sonne of Menahem to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned two yere.

24 Und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovas; er wich nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, wodurch er Israel sündigen gemacht hatte.

And he did euill in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

25 Und Pekach, der Sohn Remaljas, sein Anführer, machte eine Verschwörung wider ihn und erschlug ihn zu Samaria in der Burg des Königshauses, mit Argob und mit Arjeh; und mit ihm waren fünfzig Mann von den Söhnen der Gileaditer. Und er tötete ihn und ward König an seiner Statt.

And Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, his captaine conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria in the place of the Kings palace with Argob and Arieh, and with him fiftie men of the Gileadites: so he killed him, and reigned in his steade.

27 Im zweiundfünfzigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Pekach, der Sohn Remaljas, König über Israel zu Samaria und regierte zwanzig Jahre.

In the two and fiftieth yere of Azariah King of Iudah began Pekah the sonne of Remaliah to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned twentie yeere.

28 Und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovas; er wich nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, wodurch er Israel sündigen gemacht hatte.

And he did euil in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, that made Israel to sinne.

29 In den Tagen Pekachs, des Königs von Israel, kam Tiglath-Pileser, der König von Assyrien, und er nahm Ijjon ein und Abel-Beth-Maaka und Janoach und Kedes und Hazor und Gilead und Galiläa, das ganze Land Naphtali, und führte die Bewohner nach Assyrien hinweg.

In the dayes of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath Pileser king of Asshur, and tooke Iion, and Abel, Beth-maachah, and Ianoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilah, and all the land of Naphtali, and caryed them away to Asshur.

30 Und Hosea, der Sohn Elas, machte eine Verschwörung wider Pekach, den Sohn Remaljas, und erschlug ihn und tötete ihn. Und er ward König an seiner Statt, im zwanzigsten Jahre Jothams, des Sohnes Ussijas.

And Hoshea the sonne of Elah wrought treason against Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, and smote him, and slewe him, and reigned in his stead in the twentieth yeere of Iotham the sonne of Vzziah.

31 Und das Übrige der Geschichte Pekachs und alles, was er getan hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in dem Buche der Chronika der Könige von Israel.

32 Im zweiten Jahre Pekachs, des Sohnes Remaljas, des Königs von Israel, wurde Jotham König, der Sohn Ussijas, des Königs von Juda.

In the second yere of Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, began Iotham sonne of Vzziah King of Iudah to reigne.

33 Fünfundzwanzig Jahre war er alt, als er König wurde, und er regierte sechzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem; und der Name seiner Mutter war Jeruscha, die Tochter Zadoks.

Fiue and twentie yeere olde was he, when he began to reigne, and he reigned sixteene yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Ierusha the daughter of Zadok.

34 Und er tat, was recht war in den Augen Jehovas; er tat nach allem, was sein Vater Ussija getan hatte.

And hee did vprightly in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Vzziah had done.

35 Doch die Höhen wichen nicht; das Volk opferte und räucherte noch auf den Höhen. Er baute das obere Tor des Hauses Jehovas.

But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered and burnt incense in the hie places: he buylt the hyest gate of the house of the Lord.

36 Und das Übrige der Geschichte Jothams und alles, was er getan hat, ist das nicht geschrieben in dem Buche der Chronika der Könige von Juda?

Concerning the rest of the acts of Iotham, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Iudah?

37 In jenen Tagen begann Jehova, Rezin, den König von Syrien, und Pekach, den Sohn Remaljas, wider Juda zu senden.

In those dayes the Lord began to send against Iudah Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah.

38 Und Jotham legte sich zu seinen Vätern, und er wurde begraben bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt seines Vaters David. Und Ahas, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.

And Iotham slept with his fathers, and was buryed with his fathers in the citie of Dauid his father, and Ahaz his sonne reigned in his steade.
