1 Und die Königin von Scheba hörte den Ruf Salomos wegen des Namens Jehovas; und sie kam, um ihn mit Rätseln zu versuchen.
And the Queene of Sheba hearing ye fame of Salomon (concerning the Name of the Lord) came to proue him with hard questions.
2 Und sie kam nach Jerusalem mit einem sehr großen Zuge, mit Kamelen, die Gewürze und Gold trugen in sehr großer Menge und Edelsteine. Und sie kam zu Salomo und redete zu ihm alles, was in ihrem Herzen war.
And she came to Ierusalem with a verie great traine, and camels that bare sweete odours, and golde exceeding much, and precious stones: and shee came to Salomon, and communed with him of all that was in her heart.
3 Und Salomo erklärte ihr alles, um was sie fragte; keine Sache war vor dem König verborgen, die er ihr nicht erklärt hätte.
And Salomon declared vnto her all her questions: nothing was hid from the King, which he expounded not vnto her.
4 Und als die Königin von Scheba all die Weisheit Salomos sah, und das Haus, das er gebaut hatte,
Then the Queene of Sheba sawe all Salomons wisedome, and the house that he had built,
5 und die Speise seines Tisches, und das Sitzen seiner Knechte, und das Aufwarten seiner Diener, und ihre Kleidung und seine Mundschenken, und seinen Aufgang, auf welchem er in das Haus Jehovas hinaufging, da geriet sie außer sich und sprach zu dem König:
And the meate of his table, and the sitting of his seruants, and the order of his ministers, and their apparel, and his drinking vessels, and his burnt offrings, that he offered in the house of the Lord, and she was greatly astonied.
6 Das Wort ist Wahrheit gewesen, das ich in meinem Lande über deine Sachen und über deine Weisheit gehört habe;
And shee sayde vnto the King, It was a true worde that I heard in mine owne lande of thy sayings, and of thy wisedome.
7 und ich habe den Worten nicht geglaubt, bis ich gekommen bin und meine Augen es gesehen haben. Und siehe, nicht die Hälfte ist mir berichtet worden; du übertriffst an Weisheit und Gut das Gerücht, das ich gehört habe.
Howebeit I beleeued not this report till I came, and had seene it with mine eyes: but lo, ye one halfe was not tolde mee: for thou hast more wisedome and prosperitie, then I haue heard by report.
8 Glückselig sind deine Leute, glückselig diese deine Knechte, die beständig vor dir stehen, die deine Weisheit hören!
Happy are the men, happie are these thy seruants, which stande euer before thee, and heare thy wisedome.
9 Gepriesen sei Jehova, dein Gott, der Gefallen an dir gehabt hat, dich auf den Thron Israels zu setzen! Weil Jehova Israel ewiglich liebt, hat er dich zum König eingesetzt, um Recht und Gerechtigkeit zu üben.
Blessed be the Lord thy God, which loued thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel, because the Lord loued Israel for euer and made thee King to doe equitie and righteousnesse.
10 Und sie gab dem König hundertzwanzig Talente Gold und Gewürze in sehr großer Menge und Edelsteine; nie wieder ist eine solche Menge Gewürz gekommen wie dieses, welches die Königin von Scheba dem König Salomo gab.
And she gaue the King sixe score talents of golde, and of sweete odours exceeding much, and precious stones. There came no more such aboundance of sweete odours, as the Queene of Sheba gaue to King Salomon.
11 (Und auch die Flotte Hirams, die Gold aus Ophir holte, brachte aus Ophir Sandelholz in sehr großer Menge und Edelsteine.
The nauie also of Hiram (that caried gold from Ophir) brought likewise great plentie of Almuggim trees from Ophir and precious stones.
12 Und der König machte von dem Sandelholz ein Geländer für das Haus Jehovas und für das Haus des Königs, und Lauten und Harfen für die Sänger; also ist kein Sandelholz gekommen noch gesehen worden bis auf diesen Tag.)
And the King made of ye Almuggim trees pillars for the house of the Lord, and for ye Kings palace, and made harpes and psalteries for singers. There came no more such Almuggim trees, nor were any more seene vnto this day.
13 Und der König Salomo gab der Königin von Scheba all ihr Begehr, das sie verlangte, außer dem, was er ihr gab nach der Freigebigkeit des Königs Salomo. Und sie wandte sich und zog in ihr Land, sie und ihre Knechte.
And King Salomon gaue vnto the Queene of Sheba, whatsoeuer she would aske, besides that, which Salomon gaue her of his kingly liberalitie: so she returned and went to her owne countrey, both shee, and her seruantes.
14 Und das Gewicht des Goldes, welches dem Salomo in einem Jahre einkam, war sechshundertsechsundsechzig Talente Gold,
Also the weight of golde, that came to Salomon in one yeere, was sixe hundreth three score and six talents of gold,
15 außer dem, was von den Krämern und dem Handel der Kaufleute und von allen Königen Arabiens und den Statthaltern des Landes einkam.
Besides that he had of marchant men and of the marchandises of them that solde spices, and of all the Kinges of Arabia, and of the princes of the countrey.
16 Und der König Salomo machte zweihundert Schilde von getriebenem Golde: sechshundert Sekel Gold zog er über jeden Schild;
And King Salomon made two hundreth targets of beaten golde, sixe hundreth shekels of gold went to a target:
17 und dreihundert Tartschen von getriebenem Golde: drei Minen Gold zog er über jede Tartsche; und der König tat sie in das Haus des Waldes Libanon.
And three hundreth shieldes of beaten golde, three pound of gold went to one shielde: and the King put them in the house of the wood of Lebanon.
18 Und der König machte einen großen Thron von Elfenbein und überzog ihn mit gereinigtem Golde.
Then the King made a great throne of yuorie, and couered it with the best golde.
19 Sechs Stufen waren an dem Throne, und der obere Teil des Thrones war hinten gerundet; und Armlehnen waren auf dieser und auf jener Seite an der Stelle des Sitzes, und zwei Löwen standen neben den Armlehnen;
And the throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind, and there were stayes on either side on the place of the throne, and two lions standing by the stayes.
20 und zwölf Löwen standen da auf den sechs Stufen, auf dieser und auf jener Seite. Desgleichen ist nicht gemacht worden in irgend einem Königreiche.
And there stoode twelue lions on the sixe steps on either side: there was not the like made in any kingdome.
21 Und alle Trinkgefäße des Königs Salomo waren von Gold, und alle Geräte des Hauses des Waldes Libanon waren von geläutertem Golde; nichts war von Silber, es wurde in den Tagen Salomos für nichts geachtet.
And all King Salomons drinking vessels were of golde, and all the vessels of the house of the woode of Lebanon were of pure golde, none were of siluer: for it was nothing esteemed in the dayes of Salomon.
22 Denn der König hatte eine Tarsisflotte auf dem Meere mit der Flotte Hirams; einmal in drei Jahren kam die Tarsisflotte, beladen mit Gold und Silber, Elfenbein und Affen und Pfauen.
For the King had on the sea the nauie of Tharshish with the nauie of Hiram: once in three yere came the nauie of Tharshish, and brought golde and siluer, yuorie, and apes and peacockes.
23 Und der König Salomo war größer als alle Könige der Erde an Reichtum und an Weisheit.
So King Salomon exceeded all the kings of the earth both in riches and in wisedome.
24 Und die ganze Erde suchte das Angesicht Salomos, um seine Weisheit zu hören, die Gott in sein Herz gegeben hatte.
And al the world sought to see Salomon, to heare his wisedome, which God had put in his heart,
25 Und sie brachten ein jeder sein Geschenk: Geräte von Silber und Geräte von Gold, und Gewänder und Waffen, und Gewürze, Rosse und Maultiere, jährlich die Gebühr des Jahres.
And they brought euery man his present, vessels of siluer, and vessels of golde, and raiment, and armour, and sweete odours, horses and mules, from yeere to yeere.
26 Und Salomo brachte zusammen Wagen und Reiter, und er hatte tausendvierhundert Wagen und zwölftausend Reiter; und er verlegte sie in die Wagenstädte und zu dem König nach Jerusalem.
Then Salomon gathered together charrets and horsemen: and he had a thousand and foure hundreth charets, and twelue thousande horsemen, whome hee placed in the charet cities, and with the King at Ierusalem.
27 Und der König machte das Silber in Jerusalem den Steinen gleich, und die Zedern machte er den Sykomoren gleich, die in der Niederung sind, an Menge.
And the King gaue siluer in Ierusalem as stones, and gaue cedars as the wilde figtrees that growe abundantly in the plaine.
28 Und die Ausfuhr der Rosse für Salomo geschah aus Ägypten; und ein Zug Handelsleute des Königs holte einen Zug um Geld.
Also Salomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and fine linen: the Kings marchants receiued the linen for a price.
29 Und ein Wagen kam herauf und wurde ausgeführt aus Ägypten um sechshundert Sekel Silber, und ein Roß um hundertfünfzig. Und also führte man für alle Könige der Hethiter und für die Könige von Syrien durch ihre Hand aus.
There came vp and went out of Egypt some charet, worth sixe hundreth shekels of siluer: that is, one horse, an hundreth and fiftie and thus they brought horses to all the Kings of the Hittites and to the Kings of Aram by their meanes.
